Child of Aries

Child Aries – general characteristics

Birthdays from March 21 to April 19 (20)

Children of this zodiac sign are mainly independent, energetic and active. Raising an Aries child is usually a great pleasure, but as a parent you will always have to be on your toes.

1. Full of enthusiasm and always ready to be the first to explore the unknown

One of the most obvious traits that characterize Aries is their inclination to take the initiative. So, watching your little Aries at the playground, you will probably see how he or she leads the action, suggesting to other children to play some games or simply telling playmates what to do. Such behavior is one of the signs of leadership potential, but sometimes Aries children can become quite domineering. However, usually their inner need for movement and play prevails, so in general it is quite easy to get along with little Aries.

Sometimes they may attribute more credit for the team’s victory than they actually deserve. But this does not mean that they do not recognize the contribution of other team members to the game. In their enthusiasm to lead or take the initiative, a little Aries may unintentionally become domineering or quite impatient with other participants, which in turn can lead to unpopularity among other children or at least to dissatisfaction of other children’s mothers.

What you need to do with your little Aries is to allow his/her leadership potential to develop (blossom, fully unfold) and at the same time instill in him/her such qualities as sensitivity and the need to find mutual understanding with others. You may also want to “cultivate” his/her tendency to excessive self-confidence, sometimes boasting, to be sure that he/she knows how to treat those who deserve it with respect.

2. Individualist, inner need for independence

Adult Aries are known for their dislike of the need to follow dry rules of conduct, whether in society or at work. In your little Aries you can see the beginnings of this quality when he or she starts something risky without warning anyone or leads friends on a journey to unfamiliar places. You may well catch your son overturning stones with the sole purpose of seeing “cool” bugs under them, or your daughter trying to climb the highest branch of a tree just to make sure she can do it.

This innate desire for independence is a special gift for working moms and busy parents, because Aries children in most cases are quite capable of entertaining themselves and do not need company to feel safe. They will not demand constant emotional support or “cling” to their parents. In fact, they seem to thrive when left to their own devices. So, if you belong to the type of moms who worry about every “sneeze” and are upset about unfinished homework, just let your Aries child be themselves and do not bother with excessive care. Overly authoritarian parents who are too protective can unintentionally “sharpen” the worst character traits in their son or daughter Aries, especially in adolescents.

The difficulty with the Aries’ desire to be independent may be their reaction to requests made in an imperative tone or pressure on them, even if it comes from parents.

People born under the zodiac sign Aries, whether adults or children, do everything their own way and always have their own reasons why something needs to be done in their way. However, while adults can already be responsible for their actions, a little Aries needs to be taught that there are really good reasons why you, as a parent, say “no”. So let your little Aries understand that rules exist and they are necessary for people to live together in harmony, accord and peace.

3. Desire to overcome obstacles

Aries children are not afraid of much and do not lose their presence of mind over trifles. Any new corner of the playground, even for a very young child, is an opportunity to learn something. Every new experience for an adult Aries is something he or she simply must try. It’s not that Aries constantly crave adventure, they just feel comfortable taking risks. And they have enough self-confidence to take risks. However, they are often so eager to start doing something that they do not even think that it could be dangerous.

The flip side of this quality is that Aries children tend to get into trouble. As a parent, you will have to keep an eye on your child for a long time, and as he or she grows up, it will be much more difficult to do so, because constant parental control contradicts their inner need for independence.

In general, you should try to find a certain balance between control and encouragement. It is important that the child is safe, and at the same time their natural need for self-expression is not too suppressed. Creative potential and willingness to take risks, nurtured with care and love, can ultimately give your son the opportunity to grow into a born entrepreneur, and your daughter into a leader in the full sense of the word.

4. Creative

The Aries’ inclination to innovation (the word “innovation” here should be understood as a desire to do, create what others have not done before) manifests itself quite early, so do not be surprised if you catch your little Aries inventing his/her own games and assembling toys in a completely different way. Their creative nature and ingenuity can manifest in different ways, whether it’s organizing friends for a game at the playground or using a new approach to working on a school project. They may have a lot of ideas that do not work, but this usually does not bother or upset them, because coming up with new ideas is as natural to them as breathing. Little Aries are happiest when they, either alone or with someone, test the viability of their own ideas.

5. Energetic

Sooner or later, all parents of Aries children realize that living at the pace of this little bundle of energy is quite difficult. Aries children are quite active, moving from one activity or game to another. What exactly they are doing is not as important as the fact that they must be involved in something. Such activity may seem excessive to some parents, but at the same time you should understand that a simple ban on moving or participating in games is in itself a punishment for them.
