Mercury sextile: Mental activity is effective within the boundaries between what a person does not understand and what they cannot grasp in principle. The Mercury sextile provides the Planet with opportunities for constructive interaction with the principle of thought. The statement “the mind rules everything” is simultaneously both a simplification and a falsification of reality; however, within the Planet’s sphere of influence, the sextile will grant the individual various opportunities for rational comprehension and tactical mental management. Unlike the trine, the Mercury sextile does not provide immediate, effortless, superficial rational understanding of the Planet’s principle, but it does make constructive the efforts directed toward its comprehension. Conversely, lack of integration and persistent refusal to use rational thinking in working with the Planet’s principle leads the individual to loss of self-confidence, doubt in their abilities and potential, mental depression, and possible setbacks in the corresponding areas. Chiron sextile: Why are a person’s hidden potentials so carefully concealed from them? Out of fear they might be sold into slavery. The Chiron sextile gives the individual opportunities for unconventional and almost unbelievable expansion of the Planet’s principle, but realizing this (let alone manifesting it) is often difficult. At a low level of integration, the Chiron sextile provides illusory opportunities for expansion and escape from dead ends in development related to the Planet’s principle, leading the naive, trusting, and success-seeking individual into chaos and inner confusion. Chiron teaches one to work in an unconventional, reliable, and practical manner, and above all, to resolve internal problems before addressing external ones. The individual can learn all this if they understand that the opportunities offered by the Chiron sextile require not only honest effort but also an unconventional approach, and possibly even parting with a portion of their accustomed worldview. Overall, this is a highly promising aspect, giving the individual the chance to unravel complex and deeply hidden mysteries of their subconscious, illuminate and reliably bring into consciousness programs that seemed entirely inaccessible, sometimes leading to a qualitative leap in the areas governed by the Planet. Proper integration of the sextile enables not only choosing completely original paths for developing the planetary principle but also sharing them with others.
