Mercury-Biquintile-Uranus
(Transit. Mercury → Natal Uranus)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Mercury biquintile: When you cast your lines, puppets usually surface. This aspect on low and middle levels gives a person, in the areas of the Planet, an appearance of rational understanding of lower forms of life and a mental interest in them. However, their thoughts in this direction will be marked by a certain liveliness, and with a harmonious Mercury, they may prove useful—at least, the charm of their speech will not be wasted, and skill in organizing the functioning of lower life for personal benefit may be extraordinary: this is the aspect of the colonizer. Afflicted biquintile Mercury-Pluto may produce a ruthless slave trader, though this is rather an exception; at the middle level, the person still attempts, albeit condescendingly, to be humane toward natives, to develop (to the extent accessible) their rational thinking and appeal to it. If Mercury is afflicted, this will initially work poorly, and a person with such a biquintile may seriously attempt to appeal to the logic and reason of a one-year-old child; if the Planet is afflicted, the person’s rational reasoning, despite being entirely correct, will be ineffective, and they will have to rely on their intuition and natural humanity, which may suggest a behavior that is logically non-obvious but accurate in the most complicated situations. Uranus biquintile: From a mouse’s point of view, purring is indistinguishable from thunder. This aspect brings great surprises and extravagance in the manifestations both of the person in interactions with lower forms of life and of these life forms themselves, in which contradictions may suddenly intensify and explosions occur, including in their relations with the person. If Uranus is afflicted, establishing a stable constructive contact with lower life will prove practically impossible, although some of the person’s ideas may be potentially very fruitful, and the behavior of life forms and their crises will be highly significant; if the person learns to perceive and interpret them as signs of fate (both of lower life and their own). A harmonious Uranus will produce more acceptable, though still initially incomprehensible, both the person’s ideas regarding lower forms of life and the life forms’ own manifestations; here, most catastrophes will pass without serious casualties and may provide energy for solving difficult tasks. Still, one can speak of constructiveness here only if the person has worked on Uranus; sudden breakthroughs into the inner self and abrupt, unexpected manifestations of the human principle are possible even without such work; unfortunately, they vanish as quickly and suddenly as they appear.
