Biquintile of Neptune: Even geese have their mantras. This aspect gives the planet’s spheres a love for lower forms of life and compassion for them; at a high level, it provides a subtle understanding of them and a humane attitude when a person acts as a higher being, so to speak, a kind of deity. At a low level, there is no true understanding, but a person seeks lower life in pursuit of lower meditations, profaning themselves to it and striving for a lower octave of those feelings and experiences that are desirable in a higher form but inaccessible without special effort. For example, a biquintile between Neptune and Mercury or Neptune and Venus can produce a socially adjusted and unassuming person who adores conversations with vagrants, alcoholics, etc., voluntarily helping them find their next dose or simply offering moral support by aligning with and reinforcing their own. Here, there is an attachment to a lower form of life, but the help given is not so much for them as for oneself (indirect satisfaction of suppressed desires for freedom and the joy of life). If Neptune is afflicted, various distortions in the perception of lower forms of life may arise, along with inappropriate (though often unclear why) involvement in their affairs, and resolving the situation can be very difficult—perhaps requiring an examination of specific lower subconscious programs that have been activated. A harmonious Neptune creates a distortedly rosy picture of lower life and one’s role in it, and minimal successful participation in its problems will bring a person to an euphoric state, even if real results are practically absent; still, a harmonious biquintile grants a natural grace that radiates from a person toward lower forms of life, and children and dogs will love them unconditionally.

Biquintile of Pluto: A person’s spiritual level is determined by the amount of conscience they have managed to awaken in an era. In its worked-through form, this aspect gives a person the ability to effectively engage with complex problems of lower life; to them, it appears as the bearer of fate, something inexorable, even ruthless, but ultimately just and guiding them in the right direction. In a harmonious variant, a person easily sees the inadequacies and flaws of lower forms of life in the planet’s spheres and finds the least painful ways to eliminate them. However, this comes with certain disappointments and irreversible losses, as some lower forms cannot withstand scrutiny and (karmically) must be completely eradicated—something that may be difficult to accept, since these forms resonate with their subconscious, and the death of external life forms destroys something within themselves. If Pluto is afflicted, this can be extremely painful, and a person may, in a fit of bitterness, emotionally distance themselves from lower life and its problems, becoming its merciless persecutor, seeing in it only evil that must be ruthlessly eradicated. In doing so, however, they destroy their own human essence, becoming a servant of a cruel egregore and losing their free will. The path to working through this involves a thorough study of lower forms of life with full respect for their laws of development and inherent ethics; only then can a person understand and love lower life forms, feeling them as akin to themselves, and any surgical intervention will prove healing and humane.
