Venus-Biquintile Neptune
(Transit. Venus → Natal Neptune)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Venus biquintile: The philosopher goes deep, the politician rises up, while the average person splashes about in a puddle of irresponsibility. This aspect imparts in the spheres of the planet a socialized attitude toward lower forms of life, meaning the individual is under strong influence of social stereotypes. At a low level, this tends to have rather positive significance (for example, the principle “children and animals should not be harmed”), but at higher levels it may produce strong snobbery—emphasized separation, such as a dismissive view of provincial life by city dwellers, or of underdeveloped countries by economically advanced nations. Deep processing, especially of biquintiles to planets of the third and fourth levels, provides insight into social progress within karmic programs and the evolutionary development of humanity (which is not simple, as these processes often move in opposite directions). At an intermediate level, the person will be interested in the lives of various social strata, especially lower ones, their typical problems and contradictions. Humanity. In its harmonious form, this aspect bestows tact, charm, and ease of communication with lower social classes, perception of beauty in subhuman forms of life (animals, plants, etc.), and natural joy in interacting with them (in the planet’s spheres). When afflicted, various emotions—including love and hatred—may be directed toward lower forms of life, during which one should always first seek expression of the humanity embedded within the individual. Neptune biquintile: Even geese have their mantras. This aspect gives, in the planet’s spheres, love for lower forms of life and compassion toward them. At a high level, it brings subtle understanding and humane treatment, where the person acts as a higher being, a sort of deity. At a low level, true understanding is absent, but the individual seeks out lower life forms in pursuit of lower meditations, profaning themselves by descending to that level and achieving a lower octave of those feelings and experiences which, in the higher variant, are desired but inaccessible without special effort. For example, a Neptune-Mercury or Neptune-Venus biquintile may produce a socially well-adjusted, non-drinking person who adores conversations with vagrants, alcoholics, etc., voluntarily helping them obtain their next dose or simply providing moral support through agreement and reinforcement. Here, there is attachment to a lower form of life, but the help given benefits less the recipient than the giver (indirect gratification of repressed desires for freedom and immediate joy of life). When Neptune is afflicted, various distortions in the perception of lower life forms are possible, along with inadequate (though often poorly understood why) involvement of the individual, and coping with such situations can be very difficult, requiring consideration of specific lower programs of the subconscious activated at that time. A harmonious Neptune presents a distorted rosy picture of lower life and the person’s role within it, and even minimal successful involvement in its problems will bring the person into an euphoric state, although real results may practically be absent. Still, a harmonious biquintile imparts a natural grace radiating from the person to lower forms of life, and children and dogs will love them unconditionally.
