Mercury square: If a thought comes to mind but does not take shape in words, it means it was poorly invited. Mercury square creates great difficulties for a person in expressing the planet’s principle through rational thought and language. Interpretation depends on which planet in the square is stronger. If Mercury prevails, the person will consider their (sometimes others’) thoughts and reflections on the planet’s matters extremely important and reasonable, even though they often distort the planet’s principle, as the person does not fully understand it rationally, though others’ thoughts may be accurate. If the planet in the square is stronger, their thinking will generally be distorted by its disharmonious influence, narrowing, profaning, etc. Uranus will rudely interfere with the style of the sign where Mercury is located and partially suppress it. Mercury square is characterized by a strong mental interest in the planet’s issues and spheres of influence, and initially distorted understanding, typical of fragmented perception and comprehension—sometimes accurate and deep, but mostly unsatisfactory. The person finds it hard to believe this even after a series of events. The level of processing the aspect is evident in the quality of speech when the person talks about the planet’s matters (if they speak calmly, i.e., through Mercury rather than Mars). At a low level of processing, the person tends to study (lecture) others to assert themselves at their expense without fully grasping the subject. Processing requires systematic work to fill gaps in mental perception of the planet’s principle and abandon direct mental pressure on it, which leads to crude profanation (and a tendency toward speculation). Next, they must learn to overcome their unnatural dullness when trying to understand something new about the planet (subconscious resistance can be intense, even leading to severe depression or inability to read text) and resist emotional resistance to developing deeper understanding of the planet. Uranus square: A mediocre talent seeks moments of inspiration; a great one seeks moments of rest from it. Squares of higher planets create an effect that lasts for years, and fighting it is futile—or rather, harmful, as incorrect behavior in the areas governed by the planet in square to a higher one can seriously ruin one’s (and others’) life. However, the person chooses how to relate to what happens and how to perceive it—the so-called point of view: both where they look and from where, i.e., the positions from which they observe. This choice largely determines the processing of squares to higher planets and, consequently, fate within the framework of world karma. For example, Venus square Uranus not only creates an irresistible tendency toward eccentric and uncontrollable social behavior in the most suitable conditions but also an inability to love a partner who does not change over time—the person becomes unbearably bored. However, in this case, they can either change partners every month or change their point of view on a given person daily, discovering something fundamentally new in them, though the second option is much harder. Uranus square generally gives the planet genius at the edge of normality (sometimes beyond it), but it is often difficult to constructively implement Uranian ideas and revelations. The person must try to understand the meaning of their eccentricity, learn to read Uranian signs in the planet’s manifestations, and then they may begin to partially see the complex karmic pattern woven around them and, perhaps, reveal to the world something previously unseen, incomprehensible, and impossible—but real. The manifestations of Uranus square cannot be understood—they can only be adapted to and learned to use. Even with luck and effective application, the person will feel like they are using cannons to shoot sparrows, and the worthy Uranian goal remains invisible. Uranus square provides excellent opportunities to obstruct others, and if the person sets a goal to hinder evil and involutionary programs, they can become very inventive in this. Unfortunately, this square is most often used to disrupt the evolutionary flow, creating turbulence—karmic knots—through which the Absolute’s creativity manifests, but the person becomes a black teacher. However, the fate of the individual is not indifferent to how and at what level this black teaching occurs, whether as a critic, informant, or executioner. Therefore, attention should be paid to the manifestations of Uranus square, as minor accents (including internal attitudes toward what is happening) can have far-reaching consequences.
