Square Sun: One should never complain about the mirror, under any circumstances. The square of the Sun places the planet under the impact of disharmonious impulses of human will and imperative external circumstances. At the same time, the person, of course, does not tend to consider their volitional expressions as disharmonious, and on a low level they will not notice either their own rudeness, harshness, or incompetence; however, they will very subtly sense these qualities in the environment and in other people when the planet’s principle is activated. At the second or third level of processing the square, the person will feel as though they have external and internal enemies of the planetary principle, whose goal is to prevent, sometimes in a crude form, the opportunity for the principle to manifest. For example, in the case of a square between the Sun and the Moon, a person will occasionally seem to involuntarily make rude mistakes and tactlessness in dealing with women and may secretly fear and dislike them, while simultaneously feeling a strong attraction to them, since the internal image of the mother-woman will be significantly distorted and active in them. If the Sun is in Aries, aggression and sharpness are possible; if in Pisces, false positions and false initiatives with unpleasant consequences, etc. The person pays impersonal attention to what is happening in the spheres of the planet; external initiative is allowed only when forced by external circumstances, and even then in minimal measure, since it usually leads to disharmonious consequences. From the perspective of inner development, this aspect is very promising in terms of acquiring (in the sphere of the planet’s influence) true power over oneself and transitioning to service of a higher egregore, which means a more creative and internally free life. With good energy, one can attempt to master the disharmonious external will and redirect it past oneself toward others — an aspect of black teachers, especially with a pronounced square between the Sun and higher planets. Working through this aspect grants the ability to operate subtly, following barely perceptible instructions from a higher egregore, weaving the delicate threads of the finest karma, sometimes relating to a distant future.
Square Venus: Human relationships are rarely truly human. The square of Venus gives a person difficulties in the areas governed by the planet, during social contacts, where they often encounter rudeness, poor mutual understanding, and inadequacy in their own behavior in society. A person is drawn to people in the corresponding spheres, they crave love tinged with the planet’s principle (for example, Jupiter — luxurious), understanding, deep involvement in social life, and at the same time they are capricious, intolerant, fail to understand much, and, most importantly, do not feel connection with people. Relationships in these areas often end in harsh disappointment. In general, karmic programs symbolized by the square often begin quite favorably and even promisingly, resembling a trine, but only when a person sufficiently engages (emotionally, mentally, and existentially) do they begin to feel resistance, heaviness, and the necessity of difficult work. Even the square between the Sun and Mars can begin its manifestation as a harsh blow of fate, because, like the attractive adventure of Venus squares, their typical initial joys and emotional involvements; thus, the most unfortunate (later) love still begins with bright moments, to which (not only with a Venus square) one should be quite cautious and attentive.
On a low level, the square of Venus produces disharmonious social egoism and, at the same time, self-sacrifice. In other words, if a person has weak energy, society does not love them and delivers them (in situations when the active planet is involved) to be devoured without anesthesia; but if the person has sufficient strength, they themselves distort the lives of those around them, trying (crudely and clumsily) to use them for selfish purposes, which makes others feel bad, and the person themselves does not feel better (beyond a moment, after which disappointment follows). In the spheres of the planet’s influence, this person will have very peculiar and sharp aesthetic preferences (sometimes crude), which are difficult to please — on a low level this manifests as capriciousness, but on a high level, conversely, as an original creative hand in art. In general, the square of Venus creates great difficulties on the path to art (but also a strong need for it), including poor teachers or bad relationships with them, and if a person succeeds, they will grow primarily through their own efforts and self-education, always feeling internally that they are truly creating art (just as the square of Mercury produces ineradicable doubts: “Are my thoughts really intelligent?” even if they are generally recognized), which, of course, is unpleasant but prevents the person from settling for what they have achieved — the latter being characteristic of the square in general.
