Sun – Jupiter Square
(Transit. Sun → Natal Jupiter)
Different sources for the child’s horoscope
The child may display boundless optimism. Alternatively, the child may have an exaggerated opinion of themselves and their abilities, a desire to achieve much without discipline or reflection. All of this leads to disappointment when attempting to expand their sphere of influence. Patience, experience, and discipline must be learned; this will take time but will bring success. Sometimes the child feels that their parent expects too much from them, and then the child may “embellish” the truth about their achievements to hear words of recognition and praise from their parent.
Het Monster. Aspects
An exaggerated opinion of oneself, a desire to achieve much without particular discipline or reflection. Hence comes disappointment. A defensive reaction—egoism. A tendency toward extravagance. Generous to everyone indiscriminately, but often with an ulterior motive. Dangerous due to restlessness and a love of change.
Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary
Opposition, square: here, on the contrary, a dose of radicalism should be added. The desire to see oneself as important and irreplaceable can escalate into delusions of grandeur. The person is dissatisfied with what they have, always convinced that their position does not match the greatness of their merits. They become obsessive, desperately in need of a worthy reward, complaining to the whole world that they are unrecognized, misunderstood, and unappreciated. Suspicious and egocentric, they cannot see beyond their own nose. As a result, they often end up rejecting and criticizing what is inaccessible to them—such as the power and might of others—or resorting to dubious and even forbidden methods to attain it. At the core lies a rebellion against the authority of the parental model.

Sun square: Never blame the mirror under any circumstances. The square of the Sun places the planet under the impact of disharmonious impulses of the person’s will and imperative external circumstances. Naturally, the person themselves does not tend to consider their volitional expressions as disharmonious, and at a low level, they will not notice their own rudeness, harshness, or incompetence. However, they will keenly sense these qualities in their environment and other people when the planetary principle is activated. At the second or third level of working through the square, the person may feel as though external and internal enemies of the planetary principle exist solely to prevent—sometimes in a crude manner—their ability to manifest. For example, with a Sun–Moon square, the person may involuntarily make rude mistakes and display tactlessness in their dealings with women, possibly even secretly fearing and disliking them while simultaneously feeling a strong pull toward them, since their inner image of the mother-figure is significantly distorted and active. If the Sun is in Aries, aggression and sharpness are possible; if in Pisces, false positions and misguided initiatives with unpleasant consequences may arise, and so on. The person pays impersonal attention to what is happening in the spheres of the planet; external initiative is only allowed when forced by external circumstances, and even then in minimal measure, as it usually leads to disharmonious outcomes. From the perspective of inner development, this aspect is highly promising for acquiring (in the sphere of the planet’s influence) true power over oneself and transitioning to service of a higher egregore, which signifies a more creative and internally free life. With good energetic potential, one may attempt to master the disharmonious external will and redirect it past oneself toward others—an aspect of the dark teachers, especially with a pronounced Sun square to higher planets. Working through the aspect grants the ability to operate subtly, following barely audible prompts from a higher egregore, weaving the delicate threads of the finest karma, sometimes concerning distant futures. Jupiter square: True greatness requires no proof, only measure. The Jupiter square promises the planet much… alas, most often, these promises remain unfulfilled. In the spheres governed by the planet, the person feels their greatness—not only potential but factual—yet others usually do not see it or doubt it, while the first somehow never manages to manifest. The Jupiter square grants the planet expansion, but not in the way the person desires: either in the wrong direction, in a style foreign to them, or simply not what they expected; at least, that is how it seems to the person. This square (which can be called the Lucifer aspect) tempts one toward pride, superficiality, and too-easy attainment of what is not quite what the person truly wants, and certainly not what they need for evolutionary development. In the spheres of the planet, the person displays a constant superficial interest in “higher matters,” philosophical generalizations, and abstract-religious approaches, yet they tend to stop precisely at the point where something truly important and interesting to them begins—but not in the form of a luxurious gift, but of effort. For example, a Venus–Jupiter square with a pronounced Jupiter may produce a person who attracts a great deal of love, appears beautiful, interesting, and unusual at first glance, yet in concrete romantic relationships proves to be entirely self-absorbed, full of their own beauty and general splendor, and utterly incapable (and unwilling) to spare even a moment’s thought for the hopelessness of social (let alone emotional or sexual) connections—though arrogance does not diminish. Karmically, this aspect signifies the need (in the spheres of the planet) to learn to treat the gifts and doors of fate that open with extreme care and caution, to understand that they imply further work and are ultimately intended for the world, not for the person themselves. At a low level, the person tends to (if there is even the slightest opportunity) play the role of a generous benefactor, which they execute extremely poorly, as their self-interest and inadequacy or inappropriateness of their generosity are glaringly transparent, and their overall clumsiness provokes more irritation than pity or gratitude. Working through the aspect grants the rare ability to use one’s luck karmically correctly, and by rejecting false opportunities and temptations, to receive the invaluable gift of true assistance on the spiritual path, as well as the ability to see similar problems in others and the capacity (in the spheres of the planet) to guide another onto the true path by showing them the karmic role of their temptations and seductions.

Although Jupiter is naturally beneficial, it can cause blood diseases. In transits, it may lead to the expansion of an illness or a deterioration in condition.
Frances Sakoian. Aspects
An exaggerated opinion of oneself, a desire to achieve much without discipline or reflection. All of this leads to disappointment when attempting to expand one’s sphere of influence. A defensive reaction—pronounced egoism. One must learn patience, cultivate qualities of Saturn, gain experience and discipline; this will take time but will bring success. A tendency toward extravagance in matters of houses and signs. One must guard against reckless optimism, thoughtless actions, and develop their personality. They are generous without discrimination, but often with an ulterior motive. Dangerous due to restlessness and a love of change.
S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets
A volatile temperament, prone to adventure and risk-taking, rebellious, aggressive, obstinate, excessively independent and freedom-loving, proud, frivolous, carefree, self-confident, underestimating dangers, leading to miscalculations, extravagant, gambling, eccentric, disdainful of social conventions, irritable, hot-tempered, fond of luxury, unjust. However, if the person works on themselves, such aspects can produce a fighter for justice, a crusader against evil and societal vices, injustice from the powerful, a willingness to sacrifice personal well-being for others, fearlessness, courage, determination, nobility, honesty, straightforwardness, and openness.
