Quincunx Mercury: Every word carries its true meaning. This aspect provides a cosmic direction to thoughts in the spheres of the planet, but it does not only imply an interest in science fiction—it also brings certain difficulties in earthly ways of comprehension, which may cause a person no small amount of minor troubles, as the conventional, socially accepted way of thinking will seem to them dull, insufficient, and unsatisfactory. Their own thoughts and reflections may appear to the person objective and witty, sometimes even an unconditional universal truth, but in reality, they will most often turn out to be an eclectic mix of weak earthly reasoning with unassimilated cosmic intellect, from which it will be quite difficult to extract rational or healthy mystical grains. In moments of strong activation of the quincunx, a person will feel an inhuman flow of their thoughts and may either fear them or, on the contrary, welcome them, depending on the major aspects of the quincunx and the horoscope as a whole. However, adapting to the cosmic nature of their thoughts and aligning them constructively with earthly circumstances will not be easy for the person. In case of defeat of Mercury (and the chart in general) for this reason, even a split personality, delusions of cosmic grandeur, or persecution, etc., may occur. Processing requires, first, abandoning anthropocentric and geocentric views on the spheres of the planet and developing a cosmic ethics within them, and second, carefully aligning cosmic-accented thinking with earthly problems, which will also not be a simple task, but as a result, it will grant extraordinary creative abilities and a cosmic orientation.

Quincunx Mars: The power of evil is evident; the power of good can be assessed by the indirect sign that evil has not yet triumphed completely. This aspect creates a problem in the spheres of the planet regarding the interaction of energy on earthly and cosmic vibrations; at a low level, a person will often lack earthly types of energy, but they will poorly control cosmic ones, resulting in certain breakdowns. For example, a quincunx between Mars and the Moon may give a healing talent disguised as ordinary linear massage skills, which, however, the person will somehow develop in an unusual way—specifically, their hands will move as if on their own in critical situations if they manage to trust them. The latter, however, is not easy, as the subconscious (personal and collective) usually does not trust intuition, let alone movements with unusual energetic vibrations.

The quincunx of Mars highlights the problem of the level of active energy in the spheres of the planet, which means, in particular, the need for precise selection of its forms and no less precise control over one’s inner energy, as the quincunx will emphasize the cosmic unacceptability of crude emotional states and simply energetic manifestations of instincts. For example, in a quincunx between Venus and Mars, relatively crude but socially quite adequate expressions of love will seem absolutely unacceptable to the person from a cosmic point of view, which the Cosmos will make clear to them in rather peculiar ways. Nevertheless, over time, the person will realize that in love, they should be very, very cautious. When processed, which primarily requires viewing the beloved as a spiritual being, the person will be capable of very intimate, subtle, and deep relationships and interactions.
