Sun quincunx: The hardest thing is to fight an enemy while remaining a peaceful person. This aspect produces in the areas of the Planet an effect of certain inadequacy in the person’s volitional impulses, noticeable to attentive surroundings and, at a certain level of self-awareness, to the individual themselves—though they will find it difficult to articulate exactly what it is, and he will struggle to understand it. Similarly, external imperative situations in the Planet’s spheres will present the person with certain difficulties, each of which, if desired, they are capable of overcoming in some way; but when the quincunx is afflicted, this may seem exhausting (while with harmonious aspects, it may appear attractive). This aspect signifies external intervention of cosmic will in the Planet’s spheres, as well as attempts to integrate it through the individual’s personal will. Until the person begins to recognize (in the Planet’s spheres) the cosmic signature within external imperative circumstances and their own volitional impulses, and until they learn to perceive (within their own volitional impulses) and respond to them adequately, both will considerably perplex and partially disturb them. Generally, in the areas of a quincunx, a person (except at a very high level of integration) experiences difficulties related to the emergence of cosmic, i.e. non-human, influences and ethics; but in this case, it manifests particularly acutely, because it is difficult even to admit that one’s will is under the influence of the cosmic, as would be the case with a Sun semi-sextile, yet far more so when combining it with one’s own initiative and creative efforts. At a low level, with an afflicted Sun, the person will tend to evade the small pebbles occasionally flying toward them in the Planet’s spheres; with a well-aspected Sun, they may passively enjoy a sensation akin to feeling the vibrations of a fast train on the upper bunk of a soft carriage; upon sudden braking, one might fall down, but the bones will remain intact. Uranus quincunx: Science, being unable to disprove the Divine Being, with complete certainty establishes the presence of the Devil, being in fact his own insidious trap. This aspect brings in the Planet’s spheres cosmic revelations which, to an unprepared person, will seem utterly insane, since to even begin understanding them, one must adopt a cosmic perspective and then interpret them at length in relation to earthly conditions. When this aspect becomes actively engaged, it is dangerous for the individual, and sometimes, especially with a harmonious Uranus, for those around them, because it provides a direct transmission of cosmic karma into an unprepared or poorly prepared earthly consciousness. With an afflicted Uranus, mental disorders are possible, related to the psyche’s difficulties in adapting to cosmic vibrations; integration here proceeds through recognizing the limitations of one’s earthly ethics and developing a cosmic viewpoint regarding the Planet’s spheres, after which the person proves capable of resolving, with the help of the Cosmos, the most difficult earthly karmic knots and creating new channels of cooperation with extraterrestrial egregores. For example, a well-integrated Jupiter-Uranus quincunx may produce a cosmic philosopher with unexpected revelations concerning the structure of the Universe and world karma. At a low level, this aspect may produce eccentric, wild, or insane ideas parodying cosmic philosophy, incomprehensible to anyone (including the person themselves); at best, they will pay no attention to them, at worst—they will insist upon them, especially by overturning the authority of the classics, which, however, inevitably fails when attempting to substantiate, for example, a selenocentric worldview.
