Quintile Pluto – Chiron

Pluto’s quintile: When a young lamb appears in a dense forest teeming with predatory wolves, it is innocent, yet it provokes pleasant excitement. This is a highly ambiguous aspect, whose interpretation depends not only on Pluto’s major aspects and the Planet involved, but also on the individual’s evolutionary level overall. Generally speaking, Pluto acts as an inspector of quality and forms of life within the Planet’s spheres, and the person will have to experience permanent partings with some of these forms—something best reconciled with internally in advance (after experiencing a certain grief). On the other hand, Pluto primarily destroys parasitic forms of life, and ultimately the person feels better after its influence, although inner worries and cockroaches—abundant within subconscious programs—sometimes appear in the person’s inner world quite attractively, at least if one doesn’t look at them closely. Parting with them (especially if the Planet is afflicted) may feel as if everything alive within it is being killed, and only much later will the person realize that this was not the case. An afflicted Pluto makes this process harsher and more abrupt; a harmonious one, gentler—but in any case, the experiences (at low and middle levels) will not be the most pleasant. This aspect provides a sharp, critical perception of life manifestations in the Planet’s spheres, and when the quintile is afflicted, at a low level the person may become a dark life teacher, destroying not only its parasites but in fact nearly all other expressions of life as well (though they will likely think otherwise)—an aspect of Sodom and Gomorrah and AIDS. Chiron’s quintile: Life, unlike the person studying it, never reaches a dead end. This is a very promising aspect if one undertakes to work with it, as it brings perception and materialization of life within the Planet’s spheres in ways where it was previously almost imperceptible. For example, the Chiron-Moon quintile grants the ability to perceive the human biofield and organs; at a high level, it may enable healing through “conversations” with various body parts and internal organs as living beings possessing certain character traits and rudimentary consciousness (according to yogic teachings, the liver is stubborn and responds best to gentle persuasion, and so on). The Chiron quintile may produce anecdotal manifestations of life in objects and the perfect moment (a hot frying pan, alive, slips from the hands and runs under the cabinet), creating unimaginable chaos of uncontrolled life expressions. Initially, this often seems funny, but when systematically repeated over a long period, it may deeply penetrate the subconscious or fundamentally expand one’s understanding of life and one’s responsibilities toward it. For instance, Mercury quintile Chiron in the fourth house may mean the person will have to rationally recognize as alive certain family members who (as they initially believe) completely lack this quality, at least in the areas where Mercury is placed. Yet eventually, the Chiron quintile provides an exit from life’s developmental dead ends, including within family life.
