Sun quintile: As the Lord awakens life within a person, He cares not only for the individual. Initiatives arising in the person within the spheres of the Planet will attract through their freshness and novelty, proving especially valuable in situations of stagnation and inertia (it is important, however, to understand that these initiatives may not necessarily arise within the Planet’s spheres, since the quintile is a minor aspect). If the Sun is afflicted, these initiatives will clash too sharply with established stereotypes, and the person, encountering prevailing resistance from the environment, may sincerely suffer, feeling how their life and sincerity are being extracted and trampled underfoot—though usually with substantial justification: these initiatives may be perceived as inadequate or even hostile by the environment. A harmonious Sun, on the contrary, brings exceptionally appealing expressions within the Planet’s sphere, and life itself seems to smile upon the person; their initiatives become interesting to others, and they are capable, if they wish, of revitalizing other people and circumstances within the Planet’s domains—though this will encounter great difficulties if the Planet itself is afflicted. If both the Sun and the Planet are well-placed, and harmonious aspects are not actively worked with, they may ultimately dry out the vitality of the quintile through laziness and boredom; the frustration of the quintile may then impose vitality as a condition of survival, giving the person the strongest impulse for its activation and development. Moon quintile: Bream, pike-perch, and roach are equally necessary for evolution, yet for some reason bream tastes better. This aspect provides inner liveliness and intrinsic interest within the Planet’s spheres of influence, evoking in the person who connects with them a sincere emotional response and an impulse toward inner development in a new direction. An afflicted Moon gives strong life forces within the Planet’s spheres, which, however, struggle to manifest outwardly, and frustrations may arise—like a poplar tree whose branches are pruned each spring, along with a good portion of its trunk. If this aspect remains unworked, instinctive vitality degenerates, becoming coarser and even vulgar; an unworked Moon is a master at profaning anything whatsoever. For example, a high-level Moon-Venus quintile bestows genuine, living art, created instinctively by the person and essentially an extension of their life; when others perceive this art, on one hand they recognize themselves and the surrounding world, and on the other, they see it illuminated by significantly higher vibrations (Venus—of aesthetics), and, intuitively (Moon) connecting to this stream, illuminate their inner and outer world, primarily. At a low level, this quintile signifies perceiving any living loving or social relationships solely from the standpoint of physiology and self-interest, for instance, a position such as: “if a person doesn’t spend money on me and doesn’t want to sleep with me, the relationship is hopeless”.
