Moon semi-square: Do you always remember, when speaking with a person, that you are facing a microcosm? This is the most difficult aspect; most often it indicates an inner brokenness which the person tries in every way to conceal from themselves, since their primary inner feeling tells them that everything is exactly as it should be with them, while other people and external circumstances are somehow not quite right—but in any case, that’s their personal issue. In reality, everything is the opposite, but the Moon hardly admits its flaws. In the areas of the planet, the person will have limited and rigid perception programs that mercilessly filter out and ignore everything that does not fit within them, yet the person will not notice this, believing they see and feel perfectly everything that is necessary, and may even feel superior to others whose perception is truly limited. The discomfort lies in the fact that beyond their clear perception, at a low level of aspect integration, the person will notice nothing—not even subtle nuances or half-tones—and will instinctively strive to prove to the world that these subtleties do not actually exist. Often this aspect indicates formal childhood relationships with the mother, who carried out her maternal functions and duties according to a fixed checklist, mentally ticking off items as they were completed. Here, (rather difficult) integration leads to the ability to create a warm, cozy home for others, anticipating their every need, but this requires first overcoming natural selfishness and emotional hardness in the planet’s spheres. Jupiter semi-square: To whom much is given, much more will be required. This is the aspect of self-made philosophers in the planet’s sphere. The person will have deeply dogmatic thinking, whose fundamental bricks, upon closer inspection, turn out to be extremely solid and equally unwieldy, making it difficult to build from them a light, heaven-directed temple. In the harmonious variant, such a person may show tendencies toward philanthropy in the planet’s areas, but usually in a narrow sense and ultimately not entirely selfless, resulting from failure to fully grasp the subtleties of the planetary principle and its broad mastery. Generally, Jupiter brings happiness and expanded opportunities, but in this case it occurs somehow mechanically and formally, without regard for the person’s true desires, so their joy is often poisoned, or what happens may seem to them utterly mocking—like receiving a stuffed puppy instead of a real one for their birthday. This element of formal charity and mistaken advocacy is overcome with great difficulty, especially since the person receives (in the planet’s spheres) not the best examples to follow in life; nevertheless, integration here requires deep (not broad) penetration into the planet’s spheres and using one’s available resources truly for the purpose of helping others, without regard to strengthening one’s sense of self-importance, so that in the temple built by the person, the voice of God will truly resound.
