Mercury sesquiquadrate: Artificial intelligence is always irresponsible intelligence. This aspect, at a low level, produces a hidden backwardness of thinking that simultaneously gives the impression of agility, sometimes powerful. A person may speak logically and correctly, yet there will be felt some colossal distortions in their speech, as if they are imbuing their words with another, entirely incorrect meaning. The individual themselves, however, will not notice this, just as they will not perceive the profanation to which (in the spheres of the Planet) they subject others’ mental images and information in general during reception. For example, the Mercury-Mars sesquiquadrate produces a very limited set of mental schemas through which the person operates when perceiving and directing any forms of activity and energy—both their own and others’—often restricted to categories such as “good-bad, own-foreign, friend-enemy,” so that the person cannot comprehend or account for the dual nature of any activity. At the same time, their speech (especially with a harmonious Mercury) may at first glance sound powerful, convincing, and logical, demolishing any obstacles, including truth. Processing requires awareness of the limitations of one’s mental schemas and the construction, upon their (stable!) foundation, of structures serving other purposes (and inhabitants) than those initially anticipated by the person; at a high level, this becomes spirit—that which exists beyond thought and logic, yet to which thought and logic should lead, like signposts guiding the seeker to the treasure hidden within the labyrinth. Neptune sesquiquadrate: The sleeping princess needs no proof of the existence of witches. This is a dangerous aspect, because at a low level the person, in the spheres of the Planet, constantly remains under the close attention of rigid egregores and lower astral entities; if Neptune is afflicted, enchantments, smoothings, artificial restrictions on the mobility of the astral body become possible, which in ordinary language translates as emotional rigidity, limited range of emotional and essential understanding, and a rigid fixation upon those phenomena and moments accessible to the person. If these relate to socially accepted and assimilated areas (harmonious Planet), people will describe such an individual as “a bit strange!” or “eccentric,” etc.; but if the person focuses on socially unassimilated phenomena—typical when the Planet is afflicted—they may progress quite far in their meditations and perceive things inaccessible to others (see things inaccessible to others). They will lack an adequate language, but these perceptions will largely capture their attention and may not release them back into the world of ordinary perceptions—externally, this appears as mental abnormality, and doctors treat such individuals with great difficulty using psychotropic drugs, being unable to help them understand the nature of subtle realms and the entities inhabiting them. Satisfactory and vivid flow in their meditations, in this case, will not lead to success;
