Mercury Sesquiquadrate Pluto
(Transit. Mercury → Natal Pluto)
Avelom Podvodnyi. Aspects
Mercury sesquiquadrate: Artificial intelligence is always irresponsible intelligence. This aspect on a low level produces a hidden backwardness of thinking that simultaneously gives an impression of agility, sometimes powerful. A person may speak logically and correctly, yet in their speech there will be felt some colossal distortions, as if they are imbuing their words with another, entirely incorrect meaning. The individual themselves, however, will not notice this, just as they will not perceive the profanation to which (in the spheres of the Planet) they subject others’ mental images and information in general during reception. For example, the Mercury-Mars sesquiquadrate will produce a very limited set of mental schemas through which the person operates when perceiving and directing any forms of activity and energy—both their own and others’, often restricted to categories such as “good-bad, own-foreign, friend-enemy,” so that recognizing and accounting for the dual nature of any activity becomes impossible for this person. At the same time, their speech (especially with a harmonious Mercury) may at first glance sound powerful, convincing, and logical, demolishing any obstacles, including truth. Processing requires awareness of the limitations of one’s mental schemas and constructing upon their (stable!) foundation edifices for other purposes (and inhabitants) than originally anticipated; at a high level, this is spirit, that which lies above thought and logic, yet to which both should lead, like signposts guiding the seeker to the treasure hidden within the labyrinth. Pluto sesquiquadrate: The mafia should be buried in bulletproof coffins. On a low level, this person will tend to ruthlessly eradicate evil in the spheres of the Planet according to their clear conceptions of it, and precisely in the clarity and definiteness of these conceptions will lie their strength and simultaneously the limitation of their evolutionary development, which they will understand much later. For example, the Moon-Pluto sesquiquadrate may produce a great censor, an oncological surgeon, or a psychotherapist, but in any case, this person will possess a clear image of evil and well-practiced techniques for its destruction. In inner life, this aspect produces rigidity and uncompromising attitude toward certain personal flaws in the spheres of the Planet, which strangely combines with the ignoring of others, and here the person should act indirectly, dealing with problems of improving the external world in their interest or other areas of the inner, and only then will their Plutonian tools be activated—be it a set of toothbrushes or clothing brushes, depending on Pluto’s position in the first or fifth house, respectively. An unprocessed aspect may produce deep inner traumas, as well as fatal disharmonious circumstances in external life, which will be karma’s reaction to the conscious or unconscious cruelty displayed by the person in attempts at crude “cleansing” of the Planet’s spheres without understanding their true problems.
