Saturn’s semisquare: When deeply drilling into the well of the inner world, instead of a fountain of spirituality, crude oil may gush forth. This aspect is not as harsh as Saturn’s square, yet more insidious, as it gives the person a sense of profound penetration into the areas ruled by the planet, but this depth is largely illusory, while the dogmatism of the methods used to achieve it is entirely real. For example, the Saturn-Mercury semisquare produces a person who always knows how things should be, especially in areas ruled by Mercury; here, their thinking is indirect, dogmatic, and unyielding, and it is practically impossible to demonstrate to them the limitations of their perspective. The Saturn-Pluto semisquare, conversely, produces a person who knows how things should not be and knows precisely how to eradicate them, having, at least at a lower level, no doubts whatsoever about this. As long as this person remains ego-centered, the planet’s sphere remains inaccessible to them, perhaps even provoking irritation for not fitting within established boundaries; in reality, the person mutilates this sphere, though they believe everything they do (structuring, rationally limiting, wisely guiding onto the true path) serves it exclusively for its benefit. If Saturn is afflicted, this semisquare can inflict deep emotional wounds, but their source—the excessively rigid interaction with the planet’s spheres—will long remain unclear or obscure. Here, working through the aspect requires great self-sacrifice and courageous deepening into the planet’s realms through the eyes of others and in their interests, precisely when the person themselves already considers everything clear and obvious; only when they see the planet through others’ eyes, through the prism of their problems, and help resolve them, can the individual create something truly valuable, constructive, and reliable. Neptune’s semisquare: The sleeping princess needs no proof of witches’ existence. This is a dangerous aspect, as at a low level the person constantly remains under close scrutiny of rigid egregores and lower astral entities within the planet’s spheres; if Neptune is afflicted, enchantments, bindings, and artificial restrictions on the mobility of the astral body are possible, which in ordinary language translates to emotional constriction, limited range of emotional and essential understanding, and a rigid fixation on those phenomena and moments accessible to the person. If these relate to socially accepted and normalized areas (a harmonious planet), people will describe such an individual as “a bit strange,” “eccentric,” etc.; but if the person focuses on socially unaccepted phenomena—typical when the planet is afflicted—they may advance quite far in their meditations and perceive things inaccessible to others (to see things inaccessible to others). They will lack an adequate language, but these experiences will largely capture their attention and may not release them back into the world of ordinary perceptions—externally, this appears as mental abnormality, and physicians struggle greatly to treat such individuals with psychotropic drugs, unable to help them understand the nature of subtle realms and the entities inhabiting them. Satisfactory and vital meditation practices, in this case, will not lead to success;
