Venus semisquare: Flowers of evil, upon close inspection, usually turn out to be artificial. This aspect brings hidden rigidity and schematic behavior in social relationships within the planet’s spheres. Outwardly, the person may appear entirely adequate in social interactions, but close ones will sense an excess of internal formalism and a fixed internal framework of acceptable social situations—something the individual themselves perceives to a much lesser degree. This manifests especially clearly in love, where the person will repeatedly encounter one (rarely two) identical scenario—a kind of matrix into which fate and the person themselves keep imprinting their lives and those of their partners—until this pattern becomes utterly unbearable, as it ultimately fails to deliver satisfying emotional experiences, despite often appearing to progress steadily and convincingly. Attempts to forcibly disrupt the natural course of events either fail or lead to disaster; resolution lies in shifting focus away from solving personal issues, particularly emotional and social dissatisfaction, and redirecting attention toward the problems of others. In doing so, the person discovers that what seems obvious and dull to them often proves interesting, useful, and necessary to someone else—provided they do not insist on it. Social clarity is a very valuable quality, provided the person manages to make it an indirect rather than primary content of communication, and places it in service of higher goals and, above all, other people. Chiron semisquare: When diving into the unknown, wear scuba gear. This aspect imparts in the planet’s spheres a somewhat crude sense of humor and confidence in the nonstandard and original nature of one’s approaches, along with an ability to find a way out of any dead end. In reality, unfortunately, this is not always the case, and clever, amusing inventions often turn out to be shallow and ineffective, though at a lower level the person ignores this or considers it mere coincidence. Chiron remains true to himself: here, he offers structures and methods that must be deciphered by viewing them from an unconventional and barely conceivable perspective—which in this case means (among other things) from the viewpoint of another person or an egregore. Until the person does so, they will continually encounter dead ends in the planet’s spheres (especially if Chiron is afflicted), along with associated viewpoints of people, familiar, reliable, and effective methods that in reality prove to be quite different—but one must know how to see it. Harmonious Chiron and planet will greatly soften the negative effects of the semisquare, and the methods the person uses in the planet’s sphere will appear witty and constructive, yet still, without conscious processing and attention fundamentally directed toward other people, they will possess significant hidden flaws that will inevitably surface at critical moments.
