Venus-Square Neptune

Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Venus semisquare: Flowers of evil, upon close inspection, usually turn out to be artificial. This aspect brings hidden rigidity and schematism into social relationships within the areas of the Planet. Outwardly, the person may appear entirely adequate in social interactions, but close ones will sense an excess of inner formalism and an internal preset of socially acceptable situations, while the person themselves will be far less aware of it. This manifests especially clearly in love, where the individual will repeatedly encounter the same (rarely two) scenario—a kind of matrix into which fate and the person themselves will imprint their lives and those of their partners, until this pattern becomes utterly unbearable, as it ultimately fails to provide satisfying emotional experiences, despite often appearing quite convincing on the surface. Attempts to forcibly disrupt the natural course of events either fail or lead to catastrophe; the resolution lies in shifting focus away from solving personal problems, especially emotional and social dissatisfaction, and redirecting attention toward the problems of others. In doing so, the person will discover that what seems obvious and dull to them often proves interesting, useful, and necessary to someone else—provided they do not insist on it. Social clarity is a very valuable quality, provided the person manages to make it an indirect rather than primary content of communication, and places it in service of higher goals and, most importantly, other people. Neptune semisquare: The sleeping princess needs no proof of the existence of witches. This is a dangerous aspect, because at a low level the person constantly remains under the close attention of rigid egregores and lower astral entities within the Planet’s spheres; if Neptune is afflicted, enchantments, smoothings, artificial restrictions on the mobility of the astral body are possible, which in ordinary language means emotional inhibition, limited range of emotional and essential understanding, and a rigid fixation on those phenomena and moments accessible to the person. If these relate to socially accepted and adapted areas (a harmonious Planet), people will describe such an individual as “a bit strange,” “eccentric,” and so on; but if the person focuses on socially uncharted phenomena—typical when the Planet is afflicted—they may progress quite far in their meditations and perceive things inaccessible to others (to see things inaccessible to others). They will lack an adequate language, but these experiences will largely capture their attention and may not release them back into the world of ordinary perceptions—outwardly appearing as mental illness, and doctors will struggle greatly to treat such individuals with psychotropic drugs, unable to help them understand the nature of subtle realms and the entities inhabiting them. Satisfying and vital progress in their meditations will not lead to success in this case;
