Semi-quintile Saturn — Pluto
(Transit. Saturn → Natal Pluto)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Decile of Saturn: People’s misfortune lies not only in the fact that they do not understand their own happiness — they also fail to understand one another. The interpretation of the aspect depends on the level of processing of Saturn, the planet, and the horoscope in general. At a low or average level, this aspect brings to the spheres of the planet a form of humanitarianism that seeks to make people happy by severely restricting their freedom, which (in the person’s view) quickly turns into a freedom of evil: external and internal. This person sees (in the spheres of the planet) human and humanity’s happiness in order, organization, rigid structure, and routine. If Saturn is afflicted, this can take horrifying forms (totalitarianism, bureaucracy); if harmonious, the person will act with humanitarian enthusiasm and uplift, for example, by participating in the creation of an artificial environment that separates humans from the uncontrollable and anarchic nature — the builders of modern machine civilization. Processing of the aspect comes through deep study of human nature first and foremost as a fact of their inner life, and on this path, many profound truths can be grasped, especially if one begins the study with oneself and the structure of their inner world and subconscious in the spheres governed by the planet. Then the rigidity of humanitarian attitudes will be replaced by depth, and the person will rid themselves of painful experiences and the feeling of vulnerability in the spheres related to the planet (for example, an unprocessed decile of Mars-Saturn gives a sense of human weakness and inability to resist aggression, but also a sharp sense of its antihuman nature).
Decile of Pluto: To deprive fate of its inherent nourishment would be inhumane. The interpretation of this aspect depends on the aspects of the planet and Pluto, and most importantly, on the evolutionary level of the person. Here, fateful circumstances test and purify (in the sphere of the planet) such a delicate matter as humanity, both in the person themselves and in their environment. A harmonious decile can provide some protection from fate, making its manifestations relatively “humane,” while an afflicted one brings a harsh test of humanity. If the person fails this test, they may become a cruel tyrant, a dark teacher who destroys all that is human in those dependent on them. For a person who has embarked on the path of spiritual development, this is a very promising aspect: Pluto will illuminate all inhuman programs of the subconscious in the spheres of the planet, and, accepting the limited but painful and seemingly antihuman losses, the person will be able to transform them into evolutionarily higher states. For example, a decile of Pluto-Mars will mark aggression as an inhuman manifestation, and at a low level, the person may become an aggressive tormentor who energetically destroys all that is human in others; at an average level, the person will avoid aggression in every way, feeling it to be antihuman (especially toward themselves), though they will still encounter it and sense its presence within, carefully suppressing this feeling; at the level of self-work, the person, having recognized the inner aggression revealed by Pluto as antihuman in nature, will transform it into constructive energy, simultaneously raising the vibrational frequency of their energy flow (a hooligan becomes a karate teacher). Then both the fate that is transmitted and the purification in the environment of the planet’s principle will prove to be, as much as possible, humane.
