Semi-quintile Venus – Chiron
(Transit. Venus → Natal Chiron)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Decile of Venus: Public consciousness is far more humane than subconscious public perception. When the influence of Venus intensifies in the spheres governed by the planet, and a person’s feelings soften, tending toward the perception—especially of beauty in forms and relationships—they experience a surge of humanism (in their own understanding). On a low level, this manifests as extreme capriciousness, where the person feels that any lack of attention, love, or even a failure to meet their aesthetic tastes is profoundly inhumane toward themselves. For example, a woman with a decile of Sun–Venus may (sincerely) consider it inhumane toward herself when a man invites her to an event where the hosts’ restrooms do not meet her standards. If the decile is afflicted, these effects may be emotionally overwhelming, but in reality, Venus only indirectly influences the planetary principle. In its harmonious form, this is a deceptive aspect, as the humanism expressed by Venus may be mistaken for love, which, unfortunately, is not the same thing. For instance, a decile of Venus–Mars (if not severely afflicted) may produce a person who expresses themselves toward the opposite sex with humanity, beauty, and care, yet their elevated romantic love (Venus) and passionate desire (Mars) merge into humane expressions that may not satisfy their partner at all. The decile creates an overly refined (often even for the person themselves) synthesis of planetary principles, indicating significant achievements in past incarnations.
Decile of Chiron: “I am searching for my place in the world, and I freeze in fear every time: what if it doesn’t suit me?” This aspect brings interest in non-standard humanitarian issues—problems unsolvable by conventional methods and that leave the researcher at a dead end, overcome only by an unusual yet practical approach. For example, a decile of Chiron–Moon fosters interest in the hidden potentials of the human body, which can be realized not only through the physical body but also through consciousness, emotional, and spiritual reserves of the individual. As a minor aspect, the decile does not produce a direct effect of Chiron on the planet, meaning there will be no specific Chironian blind alleys of development or impossible chaos in the corresponding spheres. Nevertheless, while addressing the challenges of processing the planetary principle, a person may consider its humanitarian aspects, and then Chiron can offer great assistance with its unconventional, unexpected, yet fundamentally practical perspectives and ideas—provided one is ready to accept them. On a low level, the influence of the decile will reveal itself in the person occasionally finding themselves in dead-end, incomprehensible, non-standard, or simply ridiculous situations in the spheres governed by the planet. They will perceive these situations as profoundly inhumane toward themselves and exaggerate their discomfort.
