Semi-quintile Venus — Neptune

Decile of Venus: Public consciousness is far more humane than public subconsciousness. When the influence of Venus strengthens in the spheres governed by the planet, and a person’s feelings soften, tending toward the perception—especially of beauty in forms and relationships—they feel a surge of humanism (in their own understanding). On a low level, this manifests as extreme capriciousness, where in certain situations the person experiences any lack of attention, love, or even a simple failure to meet their aesthetic tastes as profoundly inhumane toward themselves. For example, a woman with a decile of Sun–Venus may (sincerely) consider it inhumane toward her if her partner invites her to an event where the hosts’ restrooms do not meet her standards. If the decile is afflicted, these effects may be emotionally intense, but in reality, Venus has only an indirect influence on the planetary principle. In its harmonious form, this is a deceptive aspect, as the humaneness expressed by Venus may be mistaken for love—though, unfortunately, these are not the same thing. For instance, a decile of Venus–Mars (if not strongly afflicted) may produce a person who treats the opposite sex with humane, graceful, and caring attention, yet their elevated romantic love (Venus) and passionate desire (Mars) blend into humane expressions that may not satisfy their partner at all. The decile creates an overly refined (often even for the person themselves) synthesis of planetary principles, indicating significant achievements in past incarnations.
Decile of Neptune: In our time, it is very important to be known for one’s humanity. This aspect endows the spheres governed by the planet with compassion for people (primarily toward oneself) and a desire to alleviate their suffering. On a low level, this often occurs through deception (“a lie for the sake of salvation”) or through substances. The person, acting inhumanely in the spheres governed by the planet, later experiences strong guilt and shame, so they try to avoid such situations even in small matters—or justify their actions to themselves by claiming that what they did ultimately benefits others. However, when Neptune is activated, logical arguments prove ineffective. A well-worked aspect grants deep insight into the humane aspects of the planetary principle and its compassionate application in the spheres of influence; at a high level, it fosters a religious or mystical understanding of the human essence—prophets and religious philosophers of a humane orientation. In general, this decile provides gentle protection from fate: when things become unbearable in the spheres governed by the planet, the person may (consciously or unconsciously) beg for help, and divine grace will soften their suffering. With a strong Neptune, distinguishing humanity toward others from inhumanity in the spheres governed by the planet becomes difficult, and the person must remain vigilant.
