Venus Decile: Social consciousness is significantly more humane than social subconsciousness. When Venusian influence intensifies in the areas of the planet, a person’s feelings soften, moving toward receptivity, especially to beauty in forms and relationships, and they feel an influx of humanism (in their own understanding). At a low level, this indicates extreme capriciousness, where in relevant situations the individual perceives any lack of sufficient attention, love, or even a simple mismatch with their aesthetic taste as sharply inhumane (toward themselves). For example, a woman with a Sun-Venus decile may sincerely consider inhumane an initiative by a man who invites her to an evening where the hosts’ restrooms do not meet her standards. When the decile is afflicted, these effects may be emotionally intense, but in reality Venus has only an indirect influence on the planetary principle. In its harmonious variant, this is a deceptive aspect, since the humanity expressed through Venus may be mistaken for love, which, unfortunately, is far from the same thing. For instance, a Venus-Mars decile (if not strongly afflicted) may produce a person who behaves humanely, beautifully, and considerately in interactions with the opposite sex, yet elevated romantic love (Venus) and passionate desire (Mars) merge into humane expressions, which may not satisfy their partner at all. The decile provides an overly subtle (often even imperceptible to the person themselves) synthesis of planetary principles, indicating great achievements in past incarnations. Uranus Decile: While developing a concept of humanism, one should not outpace their time. In the planet’s spheres, the individual will have extraordinary and often fantastic humanitarian ideas, both regarding humanity as a whole and specific individuals. The decile will certainly soften Uranus’ influence, but the recipient of a humanitarian act will still need some time to recover, gathering the remnants of their sense of humor and comforting themselves with the thought that the person clearly meant well. The Uranus decile also provides a certain humanism and protection of fate in the areas ruled by the planet, yet again in a characteristic Uranian style—often at the last moment, or through a strong energetic impact. Much depends here on the level of Uranus integration and the ability and willingness to read and heed Uranian signs of fate. A brilliant example of skillfully interpreting the signs of the Uranus decile was given by Ilya Muromets, who greeted passing cripples who entered his home, thereby gaining heroic strength and accomplishing numerous humanitarian feats by the standards of his time. At a low level, the individual may be extremely capricious and sensitive in the planet’s spheres, perceiving completely innocent behaviors of others as inhumane toward themselves.
