Venus-Pluto Semiquintile

Semi-quintile Venus – Pluto

(Transit. Venus → Natal Pluto)

Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects

Decile of Venus: Public consciousness is far more humane than public subconsciousness. When the influence of Venus strengthens in the spheres of the planet, and a person’s feelings soften, tending toward the perception—especially of beauty in forms and relationships—they feel a surge of humanism (in their own understanding). At a low level, this can mean extreme capriciousness, where a person feels acutely anti-human (toward themselves) any lack of attention, love, or even a simple failure to meet their aesthetic tastes. For example, a woman with a decile of Sun–Venus may (sincerely) consider it inhumane toward herself if a man invites her to an event where the hosts’ restrooms do not suit her tastes. If the decile is afflicted, these effects may be emotionally intense, but in reality, Venus has only an indirect influence on the planetary principle. In its harmonious form, this is a deceptive aspect, as the humanity expressed by Venus may be mistaken for love, which, unfortunately, is not the same thing. For example, a decile of Venus–Mars (if not strongly afflicted) may produce a person who treats the opposite sex with humanity, beauty, and care in communication, but their elevated romantic love (Venus) and passionate desire (Mars) merge into humane expressions, which may not suit a partner at all. The decile provides an overly subtle (often even for the person themselves) synthesis of planetary principles, indicating great achievements in past incarnations.

Decile of Pluto: To deprive fate of its inherent nourishment would be inhumane. The interpretation of this aspect depends on the aspects of the planet and Pluto, and most importantly, on the person’s evolutionary level. Here, fateful circumstances test and purify (in the sphere of the planet) such a delicate matter as humanity—both the person’s own and that of their environment. A harmonious decile can provide a certain protection from fate, making its manifestations relatively “humane.” An afflicted decile, on the other hand, imposes a harsh test of humanity; if the person fails it, they may become a cruel tyrant, a dark teacher who destroys all that is human in those dependent on them. For a person on the path of spiritual development, this is a very promising aspect: Pluto will illuminate all inhuman programs of the subconscious in the sphere of the planet, and by accepting the limited, though painful and seemingly antihuman losses, the person can transform them into higher evolutionary states. For example, a decile of Pluto–Mars marks aggression as an inhuman manifestation, and at a low level, a person may become an aggressive tormentor who energetically destroys all that is human in others; at an average level, a person may avoid aggression altogether, feeling it to be antihuman (especially toward themselves), though they will still encounter it and sense its presence within, carefully suppressing this feeling; at the level of self-work, a person, having recognized the inner aggression revealed by Pluto as antihuman in nature, can transform it into constructive energy, simultaneously raising the vibrational frequency of their energy flow (the hooligan becomes a karate teacher). In this case, both the fate transiting and the purification in the environment of the planetary principle will prove to be as humane as possible.
