Venus-Uranus Sesquiquadrate
(Transit. Venus → Natal Uranus)
Avesalom Podvodnyi. Aspects
Venus sesquiquadrate: Knowing how one should and should not behave, it is still important to understand what to do in other situations. At a low level, individuals with this aspect in the spheres of the planet tend toward social and aesthetic dogmatism and rigid perception based on fixed attitudes. Such people turn artistic discoveries into rigid methods, which often equates to artistic death; in social programs, such rigidity may provide strength capable of controlling the masses, but creative individuals will avoid it, potentially leading to a Salieri complex. For example, the Venus-Uranus sesquiquadrate at a low level may produce dogmatic aesthetic expressions of brilliant ideas, which most often perish as a result, though the individual frequently fails to notice this. Proper integration leads to remarkable mastery in art related to the planet’s spheres, or refined and perfect handling of social issues—essentially working within large egregores using tools that initially seemed inconvenient or unsuitable: brushes, paints, newspaper and magazine columns. However, this requires recognizing and acknowledging one’s poor command of artistic and societal instruments, and above all, becoming aware of the imperfection and limitations of one’s perception, which can be psychologically very difficult; it is far easier to project one’s vision onto others, demonstrating through examples that the subtleties they perceive are illusory and insignificant. Uranus sesquiquadrate: God does not wish His existence to be proven by scientific methods, as He finds them insufficiently convincing. This aspect brings a partially awkward approach to Uranian revelations in the planet’s spheres—individuals process them crudely and without proper respect, causing them, as a rule, to perish, just like Uranian signs themselves. For example, the Moon-Uranus sesquiquadrate offers the potential for subtle diagnosis of one’s own (and others’) physical illnesses, and at a higher level, the person may learn to use their body as an extremely sensitive diagnostic instrument for physical fields, predicting earthquakes, and so on. Yet this requires great effort, particularly careful observation and interpretation of one’s biological reactions as reflections of external physical reality, and sometimes of one’s own karma. At a low level, the Uranus sesquiquadrate manifests in the planet’s sphere as sudden whims and stubbornness, adherence to often clumsy ideas poorly suited to solving relevant problems—in unprocessed form, this is the aspect of mad inventors with incomplete education; at a high level, inventions succeed, and the individual may create astonishing devices, tools, and methods far ahead of their time, though the true meaning of their discoveries will most likely remain incomprehensible to them.
