Moon’s tredecile: Life holds approximately the same significance for this person as a landscape does for a novel. The individual will tend to take very personally the developmental issues of life within the spheres of the Planet; these will resonate within them as an intimate, warm feeling and a desire to help, with a maternal nuance—such as comforting, warming, feeding, etc. At the same time, the person may be quite selfish, striving to extract the maximum benefit from life for themselves personally, and substituting genuine care with preoccupation centered around their own perceptions of others’ needs. A defeated Moon may manifest as considerable capriciousness in such interactions—many aspects of others’ lives may displease the person, who may then attempt to adapt them to fit their own preferences, denying the inherent developmental path of others, all under the guise of sincere concern and assistance. A harmonious Moon provides excellent intuitive understanding of life and its challenges within the Planet’s spheres, along with the ability to participate appropriately, yet simultaneously enables an equally harmonious form of vampirism upon it. Integration leads to a symbiosis—more or less tense, depending on the major aspects of the Moon and the Planet—and enables subtle, profound self-expression through participation in life’s development; in this process, the person will feel their truly human essence. Neptune’s tredecile: To understand means to incorporate into one’s karmic program. When properly worked through, this aspect allows deep involvement in the issues of life and its development within the Planet’s spheres, awakening and realizing within the person a cosmic love for this life, and through the expression of such love, they discover their human essence. A defeated Neptune may produce a strong (often irrational) sense of guilt toward life processes within the Planet’s sphere, along with an overly sensitive attitude toward corresponding issues; the person will perceive them with significant distortions, sympathizing inappropriately and helping where help is not needed. A harmonious Neptune initially brings pure ecstasy from the mere idea of participating in the life of the Planet’s spheres, allowing the person to integrate into them quite successfully, though superficially (if they wish and circumstances permit), yet the harmonious Neptune will smooth over or camouflage their main problems and sharp developmental angles. This aspect possesses weak protective action, but its primary manifestations are the potential for sincere and loving assistance unfolding within the Planet’s spheres of life, through which the person may find their indirect happiness.
