Tridecile of Mercury: When left alone with one’s thoughts, take care that they do not grow dull. This person is vividly interested in the manifestations and developmental difficulties of life within the spheres of the Planet; they will tend to apply their mind there, or at least speak about these topics. When worked on, this aspect provides good opportunities for rational understanding of life development issues within the Planet’s spheres and a potential mental liveliness directed toward solving them. By realizing their mental abilities in this way, the person will feel great satisfaction from the human essence within themselves. This aspect gives a need (and opportunities) for self-expression in the Planet’s sphere through mental activity, and during its development this self-expression will be both lively and interesting to others. For example, a tridecile Mercury-Jupiter, when developed, may produce an original and direct spiritual leader, with a lively and inventive mind, authoritative precisely to the necessary degree: “…for My burden is light”… at a lower level, the person will consider themselves an exceptional expert (and benefactor) in the life manifestations of analysis, both in terms of philosophical generalizations, and overall gives life, but the thought of life itself about its successes in these areas will concern them little. Tridecile of Neptune: To understand means to incorporate into one’s karmic program. The developed aspect provides the possibility of a deep involvement of the person in the problems of life and its development within the Planet’s spheres, when within them awakens and is realized a cosmic love for this life, and in expressing such love, they find their human essence. Defeated Neptune may produce a strong (often irrational) sense of guilt before life processes in the Planet’s sphere and a pathological attitude toward corresponding issues, whereby the person will perceive them with significant distortions, sympathizing inappropriately and helping where it is not needed. Harmonious Neptune initially gives a pure ecstasy from the mere idea of participating in the life of the Planet’s spheres of influence, and the person may successfully, though superficially, become involved in them (if they wish and circumstances do not hinder them), but the main problems and sharp developmental angles will be smoothed over or camouflaged by harmonious Neptune. This aspect has a weak protective effect, but its main manifestations are the possibility of sincere and loving assistance developing within the life spheres of the Planet, in which the person may find their indirect happiness.
