Neptune’s quindecile: To understand means to incorporate into one’s karmic program. When well-aspected, this configuration allows deep involvement in the life issues and development within the spheres of the Planet, awakening and manifesting a cosmic love for life itself, through which the individual discovers their human essence. Afflicted Neptune may produce a strong (often irrational) sense of guilt toward life processes in the Planet’s domain, along with an unhealthy attitude toward corresponding problems; the person will perceive them with significant distortions, sympathizing inappropriately and helping where help is not needed. Harmonious Neptune initially brings pure ecstasy from the mere idea of participating in the life spheres governed by the Planet, enabling the person to engage successfully, though superficially—provided they are willing and circumstances permit. However, the harmonious Neptune tends to conceal or camouflage the individual’s core issues and critical developmental challenges. This aspect has a weak protective effect, but its primary expression lies in the capacity for sincere, loving assistance within the Planet’s areas of life, through which the person may find indirect fulfillment. Pluto’s quindecile: While governing the destinies of nations, one must not forget one’s own fate. This aspect potentially grants clear insight into the flaws and developmental shortcomings within the Planet’s life spheres. When Pluto is afflicted, the person may perceive only these defects, resulting in an overall gloomy outlook. Harmonious Pluto provides significant potential for effectively healing these flaws—particularly through eliminating parasitic life forms—from which the individual may derive great satisfaction. For example, a well-aspected quindecile between Pluto and the Moon may produce an excellent physician (especially with a strong 6th or 12th house), while a quindecile between Pluto and Venus may manifest as a severe art critic, biting satirist, or—when Mercury is strong—a journalist who exposes societal sores. At a lower level, criticism of life development within the Planet’s spheres may become destructive and largely unjust, yet usually stems from good intentions and aims for the greater good, even if it does not always achieve it—particularly when the Planet is afflicted. With severe affliction to the quindecile, tendencies toward black teaching of life manifestations may emerge—conscious destruction, typically at the lowest level, resulting from personal frustrations and painful failures when attempting to discover (within the Planet’s spheres) life development in their inner world and express it outwardly.
