Neptune-Moon conjunction Het Monster: Vulnerability, tendency to absorb the emotional states of others. On one hand, these are compassionate and understanding people; on the other, they depend heavily on the moods of those around them. Occult abilities (if supported by evidence in other aspects). Often prophetic dreams. With challenging aspects—life in a world of dreams and castles in the air.
Catherine Aubier: Moon–Neptune conjunction. Favorably aspected: heightened, mediumistic sensitivity, capacity for extrasensory perception. The person lives in direct contact with irrational realms and effortlessly moves where Cartesian minds drown. Imagination activates creative abilities, the “earthly” applications of which can be determined by examining the aspects that strengthen them. Analysis and calculations are alien to such a person, yet they easily understand others and refrain from judgment, feeling deep empathy. Poorly aspected: boundless receptivity. It embraces everything—both negative and positive currents. Sensitivity is extremely acute and may reach hypertrophied forms. The person may float in the clouds and be highly psychically vulnerable. They often fall into depression and lose contact with the real world. (Note: such charts are frequently found among people in so-called “psi-professions.” In such cases, the manifestations of a finely tuned psyche should be directed positively to overcome vulnerability. And as we see, it all depends on the individual…)
A. Underground: Moon-Neptune conjunction in full. The conjunction with the Moon gives the Planet active participation in the person’s subconscious life. The individual feels intimately connected to the Planet’s principle, which colors their needs, especially vital and social ones. At a low level of aspect integration, and generally for people with an unprocessed Moon, the Moon often proves stronger than any other planet (the ego principle dominates life), and particularly so when the Planet in conjunction transforms its principle into one of parasitic consumption programs. For example, with a Moon-Venus conjunction, the person tends to enjoy beauty, social contacts, and love, but after interaction, others—especially loved ones—need prolonged recovery, restoring their energy and faith in humanity; similarly, from works of art, such an appreciator and connoisseur crudely strips away the most accessible layer of dullness, which is not easily removed, and sometimes the artwork may be entirely lost—here, the moment of Absolute creativity manifests in the capriciousness of the person’s taste—or in circumstances that devour the person themselves. Integrating the aspect brings great subtlety and unexpected perception in matters related to the Planet’s principle, which later (along with Moon integration) transforms into a life need to process and transmit the Planet’s higher principle to others. At a high level, this may manifest as a public figure or prophet closely linked to national karma.
Neptune conjunction: It is difficult for a person who has no soul to believe in the soul’s immortality. In areas ruled by the Planet together with Neptune, the person struggles to concentrate: meditation begins, which (without aspect integration) is guided by lower subconscious programs attempting to place all manifestations of the Planet’s principle in service to the ego. Neptune creates constant distortion of vision, false positions, and temptations of conscious and unconscious deception in corresponding spheres; escaping these influences is extremely difficult, as unprocessed conjunction results in deep and powerful penetration of Neptune’s lower octave into the Planet’s principles. If Neptune is in conjunction with Venus, at a low level of integration the person will constantly fall into false situations and simply lie in social contacts and love, yet both love and accessible forms of art will be infinite sources of pleasure for them; proper integration, however, produces a true connoisseur of art, possibly even… Much more difficult is the integration of Neptune’s conjunction with Saturn, since lower-octave Neptune diverts Saturn’s gaze, rendering the person practically incapable of concentration (lower meditation quickly begins, and attention drifts) and self-immersion, both essential for developing discipline and inner honesty. Here, Pluto integration helps—the only planet capable of dispelling Neptune’s illusions and deception (Pluto, incidentally, was in sextile to Neptune throughout the second half of the 20th century, promising support). At a high level of integration, Neptune conjunction grants the person in the Planet’s domains a rare ability for true understanding, high meditations, and outward actions through which the Ineffable may be expressed—though not everyone is capable of seeing it.
