Conjunction Mars – Neptune
Het Monster: Strong attractive force: with favorable aspects – therapeutic power (great energetic potential). Interest in magic, use of occult sciences. Possible impracticality, romanticism; with unfavorable aspects – attraction to trivialities. Often, betrayal from others in the house where this conjunction occurs. Poor reaction to allopathic medicine, prone to poisoning, infectious diseases.
Catherine Obье: Conjunction Mars – Neptune. Conjunction: actions are driven by inspiration. The person must fight to defend their ideals and tries to involve others in this struggle. Their passionate, unstoppable activity is sometimes chaotic, as it does not take into account the demands of the moment. Their strength lies in faith, in absolute sincerity. However, they may be mistaken about the significance of the cause they are defending.
A. Podvodny: Conjunction Mars – Neptune.
Conjunction with Mars: True burden is invisible. True strength is imperceptible. The conjunction with Mars gives the planet a force that, at a low level, is destructive. The planet’s principle seems to be inflated by energy, but, unable to direct it constructively, it most often manifests through aggression and destruction. For example, an unprocessed conjunction of Mars with the Moon results in aggression directed toward one’s own body, while conjunction with Saturn brings extraordinary obstacles when attempting introspection and concentration—e.g., a window suddenly shatters from a football flying into the room. Here, the processing goes less along the line of suppressing excess energy in the areas ruled by the planet (although initially this skill is necessary), and more along refining the energy of the conjunction, raising the corresponding vibrations. For instance, with Mars conjunct the Moon, it is better not to develop muscular strength but to learn to manage psychic energy, etc. With Mars conjunct Saturn, it is better to direct effort not toward fighting temptations and distractions, but toward increasing the depth of concentration and the power of focus.
At a high level, Mars provides the planet with exactly the energy it needs in each specific case, qualitatively enhancing its creative potential. But this requires realizing the fallacy of the seemingly attractive principle that “strong means good,” and eliminating the forceful subjugation of the planet to Mars, typical of the lower and middle levels—especially when Mars is conjunct Venus, where a person for a long time perceives and values beauty only when it contains an element of visible strength.
Conjunction with Neptune: It is difficult for a person who has no soul to believe in the soul’s immortality. In the areas ruled by the planet together with Neptune, the person finds it hard to concentrate: meditation begins spontaneously, which (without aspect processing) is guided by lower programs of the subconscious, attempting to place all manifestations of the planet’s principle in service of the ego. Neptune creates constant distortion of perception, false positions, and temptations of conscious and unconscious deception in the corresponding spheres. Escaping these influences is very difficult, as an unprocessed conjunction results in a deep and powerful penetration of Neptune’s lower octave into the planet’s principles.
If Neptune is in conjunction with Venus, at a low level of aspect processing the person constantly falls into false situations and simply lies in social contacts and love, yet both of these, along with accessible forms of art, become for them an endless source of pleasure. Proper processing leads to becoming a true connoisseur of art, or even more.
Far more difficult is the processing of Neptune’s conjunction with Saturn, since the lower octave of Neptune diverts Saturn’s gaze, rendering the person practically incapable of concentration (lower meditation quickly begins, and attention drifts away) and introspection, both of which are necessary for developing discipline and inner honesty. Here, processing Pluto helps—the only planet capable of dispelling Neptune’s illusions and deception (Pluto, by the way, was in sextile to Neptune throughout the second half of the 20th century, promising support). At a high level of processing, the conjunction with Neptune grants the person in the areas ruled by the planet a rare ability for true understanding, high meditations, and outer actions through which the Ineffable can be expressed—though not everyone is able to perceive this.
