Het Monster: Sun in Scorpio
But do not fear the sting of Scorpio,
Nor the secrets hidden within me.
To see my own truth, I must find it in the depths,
Then I shall rise as a noble Eagle,
And my spirit will become strong and free.
“Myself!” may be one of the first phrases you hear when a child begins to speak. Do not argue with them and, if possible, do not hinder them—unless, of course, they are trying to do something truly dangerous. Scraped knees are not fatal, and a small lost battle can be beneficial for the soul.
Scorpio, whose symbol is most commonly associated with the sting, is unfairly feared for it, but people of this type are more likely to sting themselves than anyone else, and all of this is part of the process of self-discovery. Modern astrologers prefer the more ancient symbol of this sign—the Eagle—since it represents the ascent from the depths of the “sting” to the higher mastery of self that Scorpio so strives to achieve.
As the poem says, your Scorpio child needs to find their own truth—and the intensity with which this zodiacal type can explore, dig, insist, and strive until what they desire is achieved will likely constantly surprise you, from early childhood into adulthood.
Intensity is the key word for this sign. Your Scorpio is a natural skeptic who will never take your word—or anyone else’s—at face value. This type must arrive at their own conclusions. Your little Scorpio is likely to be a “quiet type” and/or a “loner,” never allowing you to know everything they are thinking. Some secrets Scorpio will always keep deep inside. Secrecy and solitude are very important to them, and you must respect this, especially.
If possible, give them their own room; if not, ensure they have a lockable drawer where they can keep their secrets from curious siblings or even from you. Provide a secure place for their diary, which they may keep, and do not even entertain the thought of peeking inside!
Do not think you can keep many secrets from a little Scorpio. Here, you will witness their legendary “sixth sense”—the ability to perceive what lies beyond the ordinary. If your child is troubled, they will not rest until the unusual or hidden is uncovered, and rest assured, your little Scorpio will figure it out.
In their sympathies and antipathies, a little Scorpio does not use shades of gray but only black and white. This child either loves or does not love something, without any vague terms. Scorpio is a person of extremes; they do not recognize half-measures.
Depending on the level of agreement, the strong will of this child can bring you joy or turmoil. The little girl from the nursery rhyme with a curl on her forehead, who when good was very good, and when bad was simply terrible—that, of course, was written about Scorpio.
I do not wish to frighten you but only to explain the absolute necessity of respecting your child’s decisions and deep feelings. Your child loves deeply and is devoted. Anyone who betrays a little Scorpio in a way that feels like a betrayal will never regain their trust.
Your child may be drawn to challenges, risks, or adventurous activities. They will be very independent, and fear will rarely hold them back. They may excel in physical or competitive sports that involve strategy, or, due to their independence and tendency toward solitude, they may prefer sports more tied to individual skill development, such as swimming or diving.
Scorpio likely enjoys reading, especially about all things mysterious. They are natural detectives—skeptical and perceptive, ready to dig and investigate until they confirm or refute what they set out to uncover. The mystery must be solved, the hidden revealed, the problem resolved. Darkness intrigues rather than frightens them.
These qualities suggest your child will likely succeed in pursuits—and later in fields—related to investigation. Whatever path this child chooses, they will pursue it with intensity and passion.
Indubala. Planets in Signs. (Indian Tradition)
Scorpio is a “feminine,” “water” sign, governed by Mars, the planet of determination. People with the Sun in Scorpio have an attractive, refined, and seductive appearance. They are strong-willed, capable of acting secretly and against events and the opinions of others. They can be harsh, engage recklessly in work, or perform tasks they see as a waste of time. They will earn money through activities related to water and/or poisons. They learn to use weapons or fight easily. These people possess great willpower and can work with tremendous dedication. They are decisive, curious, and interested in all forms of psychic knowledge. Persistent but sometimes shy and reserved. Accidents occur in their lives; they are suspicious of others, and their own behavior is not always honest. They are stubborn, restless, and energetic. Their speech can be sarcastic. They are reformers of society and engaged in revolutionary activities. Scorpio is a sign of purification and rebirth, so such a person enjoys letting go of the bad within themselves and transforming for the better.
According to B.V. Raman, these people are very brave and audacious, sometimes reckless. The sign of Scorpio exerts a coarse influence over them. They are skilled with their hands and can make good doctors, surgeons, or military personnel. People born with the Sun in Scorpio excel as critics, musicians, researchers, and possibly as spies or in some secretive profession. Since Scorpio is ruled by Mars, they may also manage property well. For their health, life near water is beneficial. They can become experts in music or teaching and have an exciting influence on others.

This is the last sign of the fixed modality, a Water sign primarily influenced by the vibrations of the planets Pluto and Mars. Water is represented here in its fixed form. You are generally inwardly closed, suspicious, distrustful, constantly turned inward, jealous, and often deeply engaged in self-analysis and self-judgment. Self-sabotage and hidden self-destruction are quite common traits. For you, this may be a method of transformation, followed by renewal and a return to life—rebirth at a new, qualitatively different level. It should be noted that your transformation process is extremely intense, involving deep and difficult self-annihilation, typical for any Scorpio. But such destruction does not frighten you—it is a means of development and self-realization. It is good if this renewal after each destruction is used for the evolution of your soul and the souls of those around you. Because in the worst case, this destructive force may be directed toward the annihilation of your own personality and the people around you. In a certain sense, you are guided by the motto: “The worse, the better!” When you feel bad, that’s when energy and strength arise for fighting circumstances and the surrounding negative environment. You need constant shocks to develop: if everything is calm, you feel unwell and start devouring yourself. Therefore, you subconsciously seek actions involving risk, or are drawn to the hidden and occult, to magic. Famous occultists such as Papus, and Mesmer, the founder of “animal magnetism,” were Scorpios. Generally, you are very persistent and stable because you belong to the fixed cross. You are steadfast in everything—in love and passion, in your preferences, and also in hatred. Your hatred can be terrifying. You are capable of self-sacrifice, easily destroying your own life and the lives of those around you. Among the lower, horrific Scorpios we find Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi Germany propaganda minister, and the sadistic doctor Mengele. Yet among Scorpios there have also been many outstanding psychologists and hypnotists, individuals with abilities reaching up to magical influence over people—especially in cases of strong Scorpio expression. You easily devise and create schemes, skillfully use them, and know how to subtly influence and dominate others. An evolved magical Scorpio can subjugate vast crowds through his magical influence. In the lower state, you are an individual who sees and notices only the negative aspects in others. You are not even a Scorpio, but a spider, a tarantula. Then you primarily engage in self-devouring, in a destructive manner, and naturally bite others. In the higher state, you resemble an eagle soaring above the mundane, showing people the path to higher spiritual realms. You are capable of self-renunciation, altruism, and great enlightenment. Such was F.M. Dostoevsky, among whose characters we also find many typical Scorpios (Raskolnikov, for example). These are often sarcastic writers, sharply biting thinkers—Voltaire, Rabelais, A. Bely. The artist Hieronymus Bosch was a transparent Scorpio, as were Camus, Picasso, and John of Kronstadt. Among politicians, Trotsky can be mentioned. Among artists, Arkady Raikin was a Scorpio. A particularly vivid Scorpio was Father Mahn, and a magical Scorpio—the violinist Paganini. What is your developmental dynamic? To some extent, it resembles the developmental dynamic of Taurus, but with Taurus, development is slow and smooth: gradual accumulation leading to a qualitative shift. In your case, there is a buildup of tension, followed by a sudden leap to another level—a flare, almost an explosion. No wonder all nuclear research is associated with Pluto and, naturally, with Scorpio, where Pluto resides. Scorpio countries include Afghanistan, Iran, and Azerbaijan. Accordingly, inner contradictions—overflowing, tearing energies—are characteristic for Scorpio individuals and nations, along with inner conflict between the national spirit and imposed ideology or religion. In our time, this was embodied in the Iran-Iraq war. Regarding your challenges, one of the most important is the sublimation of sexual energy. In a certain sense, Scorpios are the most sexual sign of the zodiac; in the worst case, this manifests in perversions; in the best, it is sublimated through various forms of creativity. It should be noted that average Scorpios find it very difficult to coexist with each other. There has been observation of two Scorpios living together who “lasted” only two years—experience shows that “average” Scorpios do not coexist long “in the same jar”; they bite themselves and each other senselessly, then crawl off in different directions. In evolutionary development, you must inevitably resolve the issue of your subconscious, where Shakespearean passions often rage. One of the main challenges is organizing these passions and directing them into constructive channels—using them “for peaceful purposes.” Your karmic task as a Scorpio is highly responsible and somewhat unpleasant. It consists in the fact that you are karmically destined to “bite” yourself and others, but these “bites” are meant to purify yourself and others from corruption. You “bite” only those infected by evil, targeting the most vulnerable and rotten spot with your venomous “sting.” In the higher state, you always know when, whom, where, and where to bite.

October 24 – November 22. SCORPIO
Scorpio is extremely resilient. No difficulties or obstacles can stop him: he seeks out the cause of failure and eliminates it. Defeats bring out his inner strength. He tends to dramatize them, but then returns to the starting point and begins again. Instinctively, he “pulls the blanket over himself,” and it’s better not to get in his way: as a competitor, he is dangerous, holds grudges, and does not forgive. He needs to be constantly occupied. He enjoys transforming, renewing, and reorganizing things. Idleness kills him. Scorpio loves power; money is merely a tool for strengthening his power. He knows how to wait for his moment. His success begins precisely where others have stalled or given up. He plays for certain, with precisely calculated risk. The heavier and more secretive the work, the greater the profit he gains. Scorpio considers himself iron-strong and cannot understand how others can get sick or tired. He smokes and drinks as much as he can. When he finally falls ill, he retreats “into his hole,” lies in bed, and drowns himself in horse-sized doses of medication. Usually, he recovers—because he is resilient. He should engage in sports to eliminate toxins (see above), but he prefers hunting or indoor activities: reworking things, rearranging furniture, sorting through his collectibles. Iron and magnesium are indicated among minerals, and garlic among herbs. He often suffers from disorders of the genitourinary system. In women—painful menstruation, cysts; in men—impotence (often imaginary). In such cases, ginseng preparations are recommended.

SCORPIO. Rulers: Pluto, Mars. The Unyielding Scorpio.
————————————————————–
The Scorpio Person.
The water element in the formative zone has an unambiguous purpose: to change the world; in relation to a person, this applies both to their inner world, psyche, and to their external reality, their surroundings.
The main visible contradiction of Scorpio is that, on the one hand, being related to the feminine principle, it can be passive-receptive, while on the other hand, being under the rulership of Mars and with the goal of transforming reality, it is forced to exhibit great activity. This contradiction is resolved as follows: initially, Scorpio is passively expectant, yet reserves the right to regulate external influences; and in those cases where it exercises this right, it acts very energetically (ruler Mars) and persistently (fixed cross).
If Cancer is the deepest sign of the Zodiac, designed in its pure form for the perception of reality, then Scorpio already possesses a powerful arsenal for influencing it. Both signs know how to listen, but Scorpio also knows how to literally force the interlocutor to tell anything, even if the latter has to reveal personal secrets or share intimate details that are not meant for disclosure. How Scorpios manage this is their secret (one of many), but it clearly involves magic or hypnosis. After this, an evolved Scorpio can very accurately perceive a person’s inner problem and, with a few necessary words, explain its essence, which is why the problem sometimes simply disappears, and sometimes the person, seeing themselves a little deeper, finds the path and strength to resolve it. Thus, an evolved Scorpio is a born psychologist; equally, it can engage in self-analysis, explore the depths of its own psyche, isolate subconscious programs, study their interaction, and to some extent consciously modify them.
However, much stronger in Scorpio is the constant transformation of the psyche, which is independent of its will: as they say, Scorpio eats itself. This transformation can proceed more or less harmoniously and constructively, but in any case, it evokes deep emotions; in the strength and depth of emotions, Scorpio surpasses all signs of the Zodiac. At the same time, Scorpio is not as vulnerable as Cancer, because it has more opportunities to express its emotions (they are still a bit more superficial than Cancer’s, which doesn’t always even realize them and in any case expresses them with great difficulty, symbolizing the fall of Mars). Scorpio’s emotions, when expressed outwardly, have no less powerful an effect than the direct aggression of Aries (which is also ruled by Mars), but it looks completely different because it is transmitted more telepathically (through a glance, intonation, hissing), and therefore it is much harder to block them than a direct attack. They penetrate directly into your center of perception, bypassing the usual sense organs. If Scorpio fails to adequately express its emotions, they go inward and poison its psyche, so it is more important for it than for all other signs to learn psychoregulation and the ability to become transparent to disharmonious radiations directed at it.
Evolutionary Levels of Scorpio:
Scorpio of the lower octave – “Tarantula”
“Gray Lizard”
“Eagle”
“Dove”
The rulership of Pluto symbolizes the depth and subtlety of Scorpio’s transformative power. Nothing escapes its penetrating gaze, nothing will be left to rot and poison the developing object, but will be effectively used and transformed into something necessary and useful. In this sense, Scorpio, like Pluto, is not at all squeamish. Scorpios – practical psychologists – have to delve into the deepest filth of the human soul and relationships, but they manage not only to successfully carry out sanitation work and emerge clean, but also to help a person transform their lower principle, if not into a higher one, then at least into a middle one.
Pluto gives the lower octave of Scorpio power over the forces of evil (the channel of a rigid egregor), making it an unparalleled black teacher; to the high octave of Scorpio, it gives power both over itself (the ability to see and transform its own psyche) and over the world, especially during moments of its qualitative changes.
The action of Mars as the second ruler of Scorpio should be understood correctly. Mars gives Scorpio tremendous strength and energy, but only when Scorpio is internally ready for action, and it, being a feminine sign, always reacts to external influence. Therefore, it is more correct to consider Scorpio not as a direct source, but rather as a conductor of the force that flows through it. This, in fact, is true for all signs, but there are two significant features. First, Scorpio can only react, but not attack first, and second, its reaction is aimed at changing the object, and the type of energy is determined by the energetics of the object. In other words, Scorpio has its own characteristic type of transformation that its surroundings (and itself) undergo, but the energetics in each case are its own. It is this that gives Scorpio the possibility of delicate work with delicate objects and rough work with rough ones.
Mars also gives Scorpio great sexual energy; in general, sex is perceived by it mystically, as part of the mysterious cycle of life and death, in which it, Scorpio, is assigned a special place.
The detriment of Chiron symbolizes Scorpio’s inner striving to understand what is happening outside and especially inside it, and the secret desire to see practical results of its activities. With poor integration, Scorpio instinctively and chaotically bites everyone who comes under its sting, and does not understand at all what is happening around it (and inside it), what motivates it, and what consequences its actions have. Gradually, with evolutionary development, Chiron gives it the understanding that each person encountered on its path requires a very specific influence; simply put, one should not bite immediately and where necessary, in intimate places, and not in the frontal armor. Chiron also gives the evolved Scorpio the opportunity to understand its (very complex) mental processes, stop the non-constructive self-devouring of Scorpio, which is produced like a snake swallowing itself starting from the tail, differentiate subconscious programs, the higher and lower “I,” and build itself.
The detriment of Venus is very felt in an unintegrated Scorpio, who is ready to bite the most beautiful person and poison the mood of a harmonious society. On the other hand, the feminine principle of Scorpio was with Venus, it is she who gives the evolved Scorpio subtlety of perception. However, in order to carry out its transforming function, Scorpio has to turn off Venus and turn on Mars or Pluto, which is not easy, and the lower Scorpio prefers to keep Venus in detriment. As it integrates, it begins to play an increasingly important role in Scorpio’s life, and the lower octave of Mars or Pluto a smaller one, it becomes more socially acceptable and tolerant and less tense-emotional, emotions become subtler and more manageable; In addition to sexuality (i.e., the radiation of sexual energy), sensuality (the ability to perceive it) manifests itself. With difficulty, but an aesthetic principle in perception and ethics begins to appear (the lower Scorpio values only energy, and most of all sexual). Here, the integration of the aesthetic principle of Venus is especially difficult (it is difficult to appreciate the beauty of forms when you are tuned to destruction), but it is necessary so as not to break everything in a row, but to carry out the necessary changes where it is needed to achieve higher harmony.
The exaltation of Uranus gives the evolved Scorpio a certain creative principle. As a method, and especially the result of transformation become unpredictable. In general, the exaltation of Uranus symbolizes the surprise of the result of the action of the water element; however, with poor integration, this surprise, as a rule, has a negative character (i.e., it turns out much worse than Scorpio intended) and requires more attention to the situation and inclusion in it. With integration, the possibility of an original view of things appears, a peculiar interpretation of the necessary changes and goals and methods of transformation, which are often taken from the distant future (or from the depths of the subconscious, to which the evolved Scorpio gains access), however, making all this constructive is quite difficult. It is much easier for Uranus to manifest in unexpected attacks of Scorpio frenzy, similar to a cold waterfall.
The fall of the Moon in Scorpio symbolizes its internal instability, despite belonging to the fixed cross. The constancy of Scorpio lies in the fact that it constantly eats itself, leaving little unchanged. Scorpio, as a fixed sign, has powerful energy, stable aspirations, and strong subconscious programs – but the latter change, and with them the aspirations and convictions, as well as the energy of Scorpio. At a low level, the fall of the Moon gives Scorpio extreme jealousy, a desire to literally devour the beloved being (or object) and tear to pieces anyone who encroaches on it. The Moon gives it many desires, including sexual ones, which are difficult for it to satisfy and which create many holes in its energy. As consciousness expands and transitions to the eagle level, these holes close, and the Moon together with Venus make Scorpio attentive and caring, which is very difficult to imagine at a low level of its development. This costs Scorpio great self-sacrifice, but its capacity for perception and the integrity of its psyche increase immeasurably.
The Scorpio Situation.
For situations in which the water element is active, a known contradiction is characteristic: on the one hand, something essentially significant and important is happening, on the other hand, it is difficult to say exactly what. Events occur that are important not in their own right, but in how they affect (or symbolize) a person or collective. The Scorpio situation corresponds to an intense internal restructuring, accompanied by strong emotions and deep affects. This is, for example, a moment of truth, when secrets are revealed and the true reasons for what is happening are exposed, and even the most secretive and silent people feel the need to open up and start talking.
Under Scorpio, psychoanalysis, secret military developments, and the protection of state secrets take place; the secret police and state security agencies operate. The higher octave of Scorpio is scientific research in those fields that concern the life and death of the world and its objects: astrophysics, elementary particle physics, sexology, genetics, psychology, partly biology (the emergence and demise of various forms of life). Under Scorpio is occultism in general, especially concepts of the afterlife experience, transformation of souls, etc. In its highest octave (exaltation of Uranus), Scorpio relates to astrology, especially karmic astrology.
————————————————————–
The Solar Scorpio feels within itself the cold fire of transformation, which is completely independent of it; Scorpio can only choose the direction of this fire to a certain extent. However, in any case, the karmic task is twofold: both the external and the internal world of Scorpio must be transformed.
The Solar Scorpio is very difficult to understand, both for others and for itself (although at a low level it does not think about it and does not consider it so). This is because its emotions and energy are largely determined not by the logic of its development and reaction to the situation, but by the will of the egregor. It has a rigid program of transformation (at a low level – destruction) of the entire surrounding (and internal) world embedded in it, and the main problem of Scorpio is to realize this program, understand it, and learn first to track it, and then consciously cooperate with the egregor; if this is not done, it begins to destructively eat itself and gradually degrades into a tarantula.
It is very important for Scorpio to understand the connection between its external actions and the course of its mental life and to realize the level of its psychological power over people and the consequences of its actions, which are not always obvious: in the life of the solar Scorpio, intricate and secret variants of the law of karma operate, i.e., the law of cause and effect.
With the growth of the evolutionary level of the solar Scorpio, the emphasis in its active activity increasingly shifts towards pure concentrated attention: the egregor looks through it and makes the necessary transformations itself.
Frances Sakoian. Planets in the Signs of the Zodiac
This is a very strong sign. It always makes an impression, possesses a special power of attraction, though it often inspires fear. At once lively and mysterious, vital and full of premonitions of death. It strives for self-improvement. It fights its passions all life long, this struggle is harsh and leaves traces on health (nerves). It holds firm to the end. It despises its own and others’ weaknesses but can be magnanimous and compassionate. A strong personality, passion, and uncompromising nature make life with it (her or him) both thrilling and difficult at the same time. Partners are tormented, yet they do not find relief in this—inside, everything boils. They do everything with enthusiasm, emphasize their uniqueness, and refuse to be put on the same level as others. They find any comparison offensive, so communicating with them is difficult. They are always in a combative mood. They love to delve into their soul and feelings, which can develop creative abilities. When something interests them, they spare no effort, spending their strength like no one else. Even if they may seem calm on the outside, nights are often sleepless despite exhausting days. Sleeping pills won’t help here—it’s the inner tension that speaks. They know everything in this world has an end and resist it with all their might. If someone near them takes life lightly, they lose patience. Constant merrymaking can make them ill. Their reaction can be sharp, their tongue rough and harsh; they know how to insult quickly and deeply, defending their opinion abruptly, almost rudely. People either adore them or completely reject them. With enemies, they are cruel, merciless, and do not expect mercy from the enemy either. They are capable of cunning and will take any risk. They possess striking energy, especially when in dire straits. They do not let anyone peek into their soul; they are always contradictory, agitated, and tense. If they cannot find a suitable partner, they tear themselves apart—and then reveal creative interests and harmony that seemed impossible. At work, their energy and boldness must be utilized; they are not afraid to do what others doubt, which is why many of them make good surgeons. They are drawn to mysteries—from the mysteries of the universe to the secrets of the criminal world (they can become fundamental scientists, detectives, intelligence officers, or researchers). They need work that demands all their strength, not just half. They are brave. They must be placed where firmness in struggle is required, as well as magnetism and passion that can save a stalled matter or negotiations. However, they will not cope in positions requiring subtlety. Passionate lovers. Unions are strong and unbreakable, and a stamp in the passport plays no role. If they divorce, it means nothing could have saved the union. But once they say “yes,” they endure everything: illness, storms, and disappointments. Only betrayal they do not forgive. They can be domineering, resort to crude swearing and quarrels, followed by passionate, erotic reconciliation. A calm life with them is not to be expected. In all pleasures and indulgences, they know no limits. They are very jealous. They force children to be independent too early. Dangers: a passion for quarrels, quick temper, unruliness, cruelty, disregard for others, opposition to everyone, and overestimation of oneself. They know no limits in anything. They generously expend their strength—material and physical. They lack self-restraint, which they must learn, or life will edge toward the abyss. Possible ailments: hemorrhoids, fractures, fistulas, venereal diseases, infectious diseases, heart and throat ailments, and often alcoholism.
You are calm, deep in your feelings. Your emotionally complex nature is reserved; you value the opportunity to be yourself. You are not the kind of person who is easy to meet or understand. Sensitive to everything, you are not inclined to show it, allowing only a few chosen ones into your inner world. Like a cautious animal, you are suspicious and distrustful of those you do not know until you have “sniffed them out.” You have highly developed instincts and intuition. You react energetically and decisively to the actions of people you engage with, though you may not be able to clearly explain why you act the way you do. More often than not, your feelings and sensations run deeper than words. You have strong emotional foundations. You give yourself intensely in love and passions. You have a developed sense of ownership toward those close to you and are often very jealous of anyone you see as a rival, wary of anything that could worsen relations with loved ones. When you give yourself to someone or something, you do so with all your heart and expect absolute devotion in return. And if you must break off relations, you experience it very painfully, in a turbulent, deeply emotional way. In such situations, you are not the most pleasant person. If you are offended, you are not inclined to turn the other cheek but will pay back the insult at the first opportunity. And, of course, you never forget the wound inflicted. Often, you remember offenses and harbor resentment for a long time. It is very hard for you to forgive. Whatever you do, you show passion and determination, taking things to extremes. You are either intensely interested in something or find something potentially interesting completely nonexistent for you. You rarely are emotionally objective. There is no doubt you have a good fanatic in you. Strong will and persistence in achieving goals often border on obsession in you. You are proud, courageous, and emotionally intense. You love the mysterious and show a deep interest in hidden, secret, and concealed aspects of life. You are not satisfied with superficial knowledge; you always strive, piercing through the shell, to penetrate the depths of personalities and events to uncover what is really happening. You are more inclined toward cynicism than idealism.
