Sun in Scorpio

Het Monster: Sun in Scorpio But you need not fear the sting of Scorpio, Nor secrets hidden deep within me. To see your own truth, I must delve so deep, Then rise as Eagle, noble, strong, and free. “I am!” may be one of the first phrases you hear when a child begins to speak. Do not argue with them, and if possible, do not hinder them—unless, of course, they are trying to do something truly dangerous. Scraped knees are not fatal, and a small lost battle may be good for the soul. Scorpio, whose symbol is most commonly known for its sting, is unfairly feared for it, but people of this type are more likely to sting themselves than anyone else, and all of this is a process of self-discovery. Modern astrologers prefer the more ancient symbol of this sign—the Eagle—since it represents the ascent from the depths of the “sting” to the higher mastery of self that Scorpio so strives to achieve. As the poem says, your Scorpio child must find their own truth—and the intensity with which this zodiacal type can explore, dig, insist, and strive until what they desire is achieved will likely constantly surprise you, from early childhood into adulthood. Intensity is the key word for this sign. Your Scorpio is a natural skeptic who will never take your word—or anyone else’s—at face value. This type must arrive at their own conclusions. Your little Scorpio is likely to be a “quiet type” and/or a “loner,” never allowing you to know everything they are thinking. Some secrets Scorpio will always keep deep inside. Secrecy and solitude are very important to them, and you must respect this, especially. If possible, give them their own room; if not, ensure they have a lockable drawer where they can keep their secrets from curious siblings or even from you. Provide a secure place for a diary they may keep, and do not even entertain the thought of peeking into it! Yet do not think you can keep many secrets from a little Scorpio. Here, you will see their legendary “sixth sense” in action—the ability to perceive what lies beyond the ordinary. If your child is troubled, they will not rest until the unusual or hidden is uncovered, and rest assured, your little Scorpio will uncover it. In their sympathies and antipathies, a little Scorpio does not use shades of gray but only black and white. This child either loves or does not love something, with no vague terms. Scorpio is a person of extremes; they do not recognize half-measures. Depending on the level of agreement, this child’s strong will can bring you joy or discord. The little girl from children’s rhymes with a curl on her forehead—when she was good, she was very good, and when she was bad, she was simply terrible—was, of course, written about Scorpio. I do not mean to frighten you but to explain the absolute necessity of respecting your child’s decisions and deep feelings. Your child loves deeply and is very devoted. Anyone who betrays a little Scorpio in a way that feels like a betrayal will never regain their trust. Your child may be drawn to challenge, risk, or adventurous activities. They will be very independent, and fear rarely holds them back. They may excel in physical and/or competitive sports that involve strategy, or, due to their independence and tendency toward solitude, they may prefer sports more tied to developing individual skill, such as swimming or diving. Scorpio likely enjoys reading, especially about all things mysterious. They are natural detectives, skeptical and perceptive, ready to dig and explore until they confirm or refute what they intended to uncover. The mystery must be solved, the hidden revealed, the problem resolved. Darkness intrigues rather than frightens them. These qualities suggest your child will likely succeed in pursuits—and later in fields—related to investigation. Whatever path this child chooses, they will pursue it with intensity and passion.

Indubala. Planets in Signs. (Indian Tradition)

Scorpio is a “feminine,” “water” sign, ruled by Mars, the planet of determination. People with the Sun in Scorpio have an attractive, refined, and seductive appearance. They are strong-willed, capable of acting covertly and against events and the opinions of others. They can be harsh, engage mindlessly in work, or perform tasks they see as a waste of time. They will earn money through activities related to water and/or poisons. They learn to use weapons or fight with ease. These people possess great willpower and can work with remarkable dedication. They are decisive, curious, and interested in all forms of psychic knowledge. Persistent but sometimes shy and reserved. Accidents occur in their lives; they are suspicious of others, and their own behavior is not always honest. They are stubborn, restless, and energetic. Their speech can be sarcastic. They are reformers of society and engage in revolutionary activities. Scorpio is a sign of purification and rebirth, so such a person enjoys letting go of what is bad within them and transforming themselves for the better. According to B.V. Raman, these people are very brave and audacious, sometimes reckless. The sign of Scorpio exerts a coarse influence on them. They are skilled with their hands and can make good doctors, surgeons, or military personnel. People born with the Sun in Scorpio excel as critics, musicians, researchers, and possibly as spies or in some secretive profession. Since Scorpio is ruled by Mars, they may also manage property well. For their health, life near water is beneficial. They can become experts in music or teaching and have an invigorating effect on those around them.

Pavel Globa. Planets in the Signs of the Zodiac

This is the last sign of the stable zone, the sign of the Water element, formed primarily under the vibrations of the planets Pluto and Mars. The Water element is represented here in its stable form. You are generally closed off on an internal level, suspicious, distrustful, constantly directed inward, jealous, often prone to self-analysis and self-judgment. Quite often, you are prone to self-torment and hidden self-destruction. For you, this can be a way of transforming yourself, followed by renewal and turning back to life, to restoration at a new, qualitatively different level. It should be noted that your transformation and deep self-destruction are very difficult, characteristic of any representative of the sign Scorpio. But these destructions are not scary to you—they are a means of development and realization for you. It is good if this renewal after another destruction is used for the evolution of your own soul and the souls of those around you. Otherwise, in the worst case, this destruction can be used to destroy your own personality and the people around you. In a sense, you are guided by the motto: “The worse, the better!” When you feel bad, you gain energy and strength to fight circumstances and the negative environment around you. For your development, you need constant shocks: if everything is calm, you feel bad, and you start devouring yourself. Therefore, you subconsciously seek actions associated with risk or are drawn to the study of the hidden and occult, to magic. Scorpios included the famous occultist Papus, the founder of “magnetism” Mesmer. In general, you are very persistent and stable because you belong to the fixed cross. You are steadfast in everything: in love and passion, in your preferences, and in your hatred. You are terrifying in your hatred. You can sacrifice yourself, easily destroy your life and the lives of those around you. Among the lower, terrible Scorpios, we find Joseph Goebbels, the propaganda minister of fascist Germany, and the sadistic doctor Mengele. However, among Scorpios, there have also been many wonderful psychologists and hypnotists, people with abilities bordering on magical influence over others. This applies to cases of strong manifestation of the sign Scorpio. You easily invent and create schemes and use them clearly, know how to subtly influence those around you and subjugate them to yourself. A developed magical Scorpio can subjugate a huge crowd to their magical influence. In the lower case, you are an individual who sees and notices only the negative sides in those around you. You are not even a Scorpio, but a spider, a tarantula. Then you mainly engage in self-cannibalism, moreover, in a non-constructive way, and naturally, you bite others. In the higher case, you are like an eagle that soars above the mundane and shows people the path to higher spheres of spirituality. You are capable of self-denial, altruism, and great enlightenment. Such was F.M. Dostoevsky, among whose heroes we also find many typical Scorpios (for example, Raskolnikov). These are often writers of a sarcastic type, very caustic thinkers—Voltaire, Rabelais, A. Bely. A transparent Scorpio was the artist Hieronymus Bosch, as well as Camus, Picasso, and John of Kronstadt. Among politicians, Trotsky can be named. Among artists, Arkady Raikin was a Scorpio. A rather vivid Scorpio was the father of Makhno, and a magical Scorpio was the violinist Paganini.

What is your development dynamic? To a certain extent, it is similar to the development dynamic of Taurus, but in Taurus, development is slow and smooth: slow accumulation and transition to a new quality. In you, there is a buildup of tension, followed by a sharp transition to another level, a flash, almost an explosion. No wonder all nuclear research is associated with Pluto and, naturally, with Scorpio, where its domicile lies. The countries of Scorpio are Afghanistan, Iran, and Azerbaijan. Accordingly, people and nations of Scorpio are characterized by internal contradictions that overwhelm and tear apart their energy, an internal conflict between the Spirit of the people and the ideology and religion imposed on them. In our time, this was embodied in the Iran-Iraq war.

If we talk about your problems, one of the main ones is the sublimation of sexual energy. In a sense, Scorpios are the most sexual sign of the Zodiac; in the worst case, this manifests in perversions, and in the best case, it is sublimated through various forms of creativity. It should be said that average Scorpios find it very difficult to coexist with each other. There have been cases of two Scorpios “lasting” only two years, meaning experience has shown that “average” Scorpios do not get along well “in the same jar”—they bite each other and themselves to dizziness and then scatter in different directions.

In your evolutionary development, you must necessarily resolve the problem of your subconscious, because Shakespearean passions literally rage there. One of the main problems is to organize these passions and channel them into a constructive direction, to use them “for peaceful purposes.” Your karmic task as a Scorpio is very responsible and, to some extent, unpleasant. It lies in the fact that you must karmically “bite” yourself and those around you, but these “bites” are aimed at cleansing yourself and others of the bad. You “bite” only those who are affected by negativity, and you choose the most vulnerable and rotten spot to deliver your biting “sting.” In the higher case, you always know when, whom, where, and how to bite.

Het Monster. Planets in the Signs of the Zodiac

24.10 – 22.11. SCORPIO

Scorpio is extremely resilient. No difficulties or complications stop him: he seeks the cause of failure and eliminates it. Failures drive him crazy. He tends to dramatize them, but then returns to the starting point and begins again. He instinctively “pulls the blanket over himself,” and it is better not to cross his path: he is a dangerous competitor, does not forget an offense, and does not forgive. He needs to be constantly occupied with something. He loves to rework, renew, and rearrange things. Inactivity kills him. Scorpio loves power; money is merely a means to strengthen his power. He knows how to wait for his time. His success begins where others get stuck or give up. He plays it safe, with precisely calculated risk. The more difficult and secretive the work, the greater the profit he receives. Scorpio considers himself ironclad and does not understand how others can get sick or get tired. He smokes and drinks as much as he wants. But when he finally falls ill, he retreats “into his den,” lies in bed, and drowns himself in horse doses of medication. Usually, he recovers because he is resilient. He should engage in sports to eliminate toxins (see above), but he prefers hunting or activities at home: reworking, rearranging furniture, sorting out his rarities. The elements indicated are iron and magnesium, and among herbs—garlic. He often suffers from diseases of the genitourinary system. In women, this manifests as painful menstruation and cysts; in men, as impotence (often imaginary). In such cases, ginseng preparations are recommended.

Avesalom Podvodny. Planets in the Signs of the Zodiac

SCORPIO. Rulers Pluto, Mars. Indomitable Scorpio.

————————————————————–

The Scorpio person. The element of Water in the manifestation zone has an unmistakable purpose: to change the world. In relation to a person, this applies to both their inner world, their psyche, and their external reality, their surroundings.

The main visible contradiction of Scorpio is that, on the one hand, being related to the feminine principle, it can be passive-receptive, while on the other, being under the guidance of Mars and with the goal of transforming reality, it is forced to display great activity. This contradiction is resolved as follows: initially, Scorpio is passive-waiting, but reserves the right to regulate external influences; and in those cases when it exercises this right, it acts very energetically (Mars as ruler) and persistently (fixed cross).

If Cancer is the deepest sign of the Zodiac, designed in its pure form for perceiving reality, then Scorpio already has a powerful arsenal to influence it. Both signs know how to listen, but Scorpio also knows how to literally force the interlocutor to reveal everything they want, even if the latter has to disclose personal secrets or intimate details that are not meant to be shared. How Scorpios manage this is their secret (one of many), but it is clearly not without magic or hypnosis.

After this, a developed Scorpio can very accurately perceive a person’s inner problem and explain its essence with just a few necessary words, which sometimes makes the problem disappear altogether, and sometimes the person, seeing themselves a little deeper, finds the path and strength to solve it. Thus, a developed Scorpio is a born psychologist; equally, they can engage in self-analysis, explore the depths of their psyche, isolate subconscious programs, study their interaction, and to some extent consciously modify them.

However, in Scorpio, the constant transformation of the psyche, which is independent of their will, goes much further: as they say, Scorpio devours itself. This transformation can proceed more or less harmoniously and constructively, but in any case, it evokes deep emotions; in terms of the strength and depth of emotions, Scorpio surpasses all signs of the Zodiac. At the same time, Scorpio is not as vulnerable as Cancer, since they have more opportunities to express their emotions (they are, after all, somewhat more superficial than those of Cancer, who does not always even realize them and in any case expresses them with great difficulty, which symbolizes the fall of Mars).

When Scorpio’s emotions are expressed externally, they have no less powerful an effect than the direct aggression of Aries (which is also ruled by Mars), but they look completely different, as they are transmitted more telepathically (through a glance, intonation, or a hiss), making them much harder to block than a direct attack that strikes straight at your center of perception, bypassing the usual sensory organs.

If Scorpio fails to adequately express their emotions, they turn inward and poison their psyche, so it is especially important for them to learn self-regulation and the ability to become transparent to disharmonious influences.

Evolutionary levels of Scorpio: Lower octave Scorpio — “tarantula,” “gray lizard,” “eagle,” “dove.”

The influence of Pluto symbolizes the depth and subtlety of Scorpio’s transforming power. Nothing will escape their penetrating gaze; nothing will be left to rot and poison the developing object, but it will be effectively used and transformed into what is necessary and useful. In this sense, Scorpio, like Pluto, is not squeamish. Scorpios—practical psychologists—have to delve into the deepest filth of the human soul and relationships, but they manage not only to successfully conduct sanitation work and emerge clean, but also to help a person transform their lower nature, if not into a higher one, then at least into a middle one.

Pluto gives the lower octave of Scorpio power over the forces of evil (the channel of a harsh egregore), making them an incomparable black teacher; to the higher octave of Scorpio, it gives power over themselves (the ability to see and transform their psyche) and over the world, especially during periods of its qualitative changes.

The action of Mars as the second ruler of Scorpio should be understood correctly. Mars gives Scorpio extraordinary strength and energy, but only when Scorpio is internally ready for action, and being a feminine sign, it always reacts to external influences. Therefore, it is more accurate to consider Scorpio not as a direct source of energy, but rather as a conductor of the force that flows through them. This is generally true for all signs, but there are two essential features. First, Scorpio can only react, not attack first; second, their reaction is aimed at changing the object, and the type of energy is determined by the energy of the object. In other words, Scorpio has a characteristic type of transformation to which their environment (and they themselves) is subjected, but the energy in each case is unique. This is what gives Scorpio the ability to work subtly with delicate objects and crudely with crude ones.

Mars also gives Scorpio great sexual energy; in general, sex is perceived by them mystically, as part of the mysterious cycle of life and death, in which they, as Scorpios, play a special role.

The affliction of Chiron symbolizes Scorpio’s inner striving to understand what is happening outside and especially inside them, and a secret desire to see practical results from their actions. When poorly worked out, Scorpio instinctively and chaotically strikes at everyone who crosses their path, completely unaware of what is happening around them (and inside them), what motivates them, or what consequences their actions have.

Gradually, as evolutionary development progresses, Chiron gives them an understanding that each person they encounter needs a very specific influence; in simpler terms, they should not strike immediately and indiscriminately, but where it is necessary, in intimate places rather than head-on.

Chiron also gives a developed Scorpio the ability to become aware of their (very complex) psychic processes, to stop the destructive self-devouring that Scorpio produces in the manner of a snake swallowing itself from the tail, to differentiate subconscious programs, higher and lower “selves,” and to build themselves up.

The affliction of Venus is strongly felt in an unrefined Scorpio, who is ready to bite the most beautiful person and poison the mood of a harmonious society. On the other hand, the feminine principle of Scorpio is connected with Venus, and it is she who gives a developed Scorpio the subtlety of perception. However, in order to fulfill their transforming function, Scorpio has to turn off Venus and turn on Mars or Pluto, which is not so easy, and the lower Scorpio prefers to keep Venus imprisoned. As they work on themselves, Venus begins to play an increasingly important role in their life, while the lower octave of Mars or Pluto diminishes, making them more socially acceptable and tolerant and less tense-emotional; their emotions become subtler and more manageable. In addition to sexuality (i.e., the emission of sexual energy), sensuality (the ability to perceive it) begins to manifest. With difficulty, but the aesthetic principle in perception and ethics begins to appear (the lower Scorpio values only energy, and most of all sexual energy). Here, working on Venus’s aesthetic principle is especially difficult (it is hard to appreciate the beauty of forms when you are focused on destruction), but it is necessary so as not to destroy everything indiscriminately, but to make the necessary changes where they are needed to achieve higher harmony.

The culmination of Uranus gives a developed Scorpio a certain creative principle. The method and especially the result of transformation become unpredictable. In general, the culmination of Uranus symbolizes the unexpected outcome of the actions of the water element; however, when poorly worked out, this unexpectedness is usually negative (i.e., the result turns out much worse than Scorpio intended) and requires greater attention to the situation and involvement in it.When processing information, Scorpio offers an original perspective on things, a unique interpretation of necessary changes, goals, and methods of transformation, often drawn from the distant future (or the depths of the subconscious, to which the developed Scorpio gains access). However, making all of this constructive is quite challenging. Uranus manifests much more easily in sudden outbursts of Scorpionic fury, akin to a cold waterfall. The Moon’s fall in Scorpio symbolizes its inner instability, despite belonging to the fixed cross. The constancy of Scorpio lies in its constant self-consumption, leaving little unchanged. As a fixed sign, Scorpio possesses powerful energy, steadfast desires, and strong subconscious programs—but these latter change, along with its desires, beliefs, and energy. At a low level, the Moon’s fall grants Scorpio extreme jealousy, a desire to literally absorb the beloved being (or object) and tear to shreds anyone who dares to encroach upon it. The Moon endows Scorpio with numerous desires, including sexual ones, which are difficult to satisfy and create many holes in its energy field. As consciousness expands and Scorpio ascends to the level of the eagle, these holes close, and the Moon, together with Venus, makes Scorpio attentive and caring—something hard to imagine at its lower developmental level. This demands great self-sacrifice from Scorpio, but its capacity for perception and psychic integrity grows immeasurably.

The Scorpio Situation
Situations where the active element is water are marked by a well-known contradiction: on one hand, something fundamentally significant and important occurs, while on the other, it is difficult to say exactly what. Events unfold that are important not in their own right but in how they influence (or symbolize) people or collectives. The Scorpio situation corresponds to intense internal restructuring, accompanied by strong emotions and deep affects. This could be a moment of truth when secrets are revealed, true causes are exposed, and even the most reserved and silent individuals feel the need to open up and begin speaking. Under Scorpio’s influence fall psychoanalysis, secret military developments, guarded state secrets, and the work of secret police and state security agencies.

The Higher Octave of Scorpio
Scorpio’s higher octave encompasses scientific inquiry into areas concerning life, death, and the world’s objects: astrophysics, particle physics, sexology, genetics, psychology, and partially biology (the emergence and demise of various life forms). Under Scorpio also falls occultism in general, particularly concepts of post-mortem experience and soul transformation. In its highest octave (Uranus’ culmination), Scorpio relates to astrology, especially karmic astrology.

The Sun in Scorpio
The Sun in Scorpio feels within itself the cold fire of transformation, which it does not control; Scorpio can only to some extent choose the direction of this fire. Yet in any case, the karmic task is twofold: both the external and internal worlds of Scorpio must undergo transformation. The Sun in Scorpio is very difficult to understand—both by others and by itself (though at a low level, it does not reflect on this or consider it an issue). This is because its emotions and energy are largely determined not by the logic of its development or its reaction to situations, but by the will of the egregore. It is programmed for the rigid transformation (at a low level, destruction) of everything around it (and within itself), and Scorpio’s main challenge is to become aware of this program, unravel it, and learn first to observe it, then consciously cooperate with the egregore. If this does not happen, Scorpio begins to destructively consume itself and gradually degenerates into a tarantula. It is crucial for Scorpio to understand the connection between its external actions and the course of its inner psychic life, and to recognize the extent of its psychological power over others, as well as the consequences of its actions—which are not always apparent. In the life of the Sun in Scorpio, convoluted and hidden variants of the law of karma operate, i.e., the law of cause and effect. As the evolutionary level of the Sun in Scorpio rises, the focus of its active endeavors shifts increasingly toward pure concentrated attention: the egregore looks through it, and the necessary transformations occur on their own.

Scorpio Sun is a very strong sign. It always makes an impression, exuding a special power of attraction, though it often instills fear. They are both lively and mysterious, vital and full of premonitions of death. They strive for self-improvement. They fight their passions all their lives, a struggle that is harsh and leaves a mark on their health (nerves). They stand firm to the end. They despise their own and others’ weaknesses but can be magnanimous and compassionate. Their strong individuality, passion, and uncompromising nature make life with them both thrilling and difficult. Partners are tormented by them, yet find no relief—inside, everything boils. They do everything with enthusiasm, emphasizing their uniqueness and refusing to be lumped together with others. Comparisons with anyone else offend them, making communication with them challenging. They are always in a combative mood. They love to delve into their souls and feelings, which can develop creative abilities. When something interests them, they spare no effort, expending their energy like no one else. Even if they appear calm on the outside, sleepless nights often follow exhausting days, and sleeping pills won’t help—this tension is internal. They know everything in this world has an end and resist it with all their might. If someone in their presence takes life lightly, they lose patience. Constant merriment can make them ill. Their reactions can be sharp; their words harsh and cruel. They know how to insult quickly and deeply, defending their opinions abruptly, almost rudely. People either adore them or reject them outright. With enemies, they are ruthless and merciless, expecting no mercy in return. They are capable of deceit and will take any risk. They possess remarkable energy, especially in difficult situations. They never let anyone peek into their soul; they are always contradictory, agitated, and tense. If they don’t find a suitable partner, they fall apart—only to discover creative interests and harmony that once seemed impossible. At work, their energy and boldness must be harnessed; they fear nothing and act where others hesitate, which is why many become excellent surgeons. They are drawn to mysteries—from the secrets of the universe to the underworld (they may become scientists in fundamental research, detectives, spies, or explorers). They need work that demands all their strength, not just half. They are brave. They should be placed in roles requiring relentlessness in struggle, as well as magnetism and passion that can save a stalled endeavor or negotiations. However, they will not cope in positions requiring subtlety. They are passionate lovers. Relationships are strong and unbreakable, and a marriage certificate plays no role. If they divorce, it means nothing can save the union. But once they say “yes,” they endure everything: illness, storms, and disappointments. Only betrayal is unforgivable. They can be domineering, prone to harsh words and quarrels, followed by passionate, erotic reconciliation. A peaceful life with them is out of the question. In all pleasures and indulgences, they know no limits. They are extremely jealous. They force their children to be independent too soon. Dangers: a propensity for quarrels, quick temper, unbridled nature, cruelty, disregard for others, opposition to everyone, and self-overestimation. They know no moderation in anything. They generously expend their energy—both material and physical. They lack self-restraint, something they must learn, or life will edge them toward the abyss. Possible ailments: hemorrhoids, fractures, fistulas, venereal diseases, infections, heart and throat issues, and often alcoholism.

You are calm and deeply feeling. Your emotionally complex nature is reserved; you value the opportunity to be yourself. You are not the kind of person who is easy to meet or understand. Sensitive to everything around you, you rarely show it, allowing only a select few into your inner world. Like a cautious animal, you are suspicious and distrustful of those you don’t know until you’ve “sniffed them out.” You have highly developed instincts and intuition. When you engage with people, you react energetically and decisively, though you may not always be able to explain why you act as you do. More often than not, your feelings and sensations run deeper than your words. You have strong emotional foundations. You give yourself fully in love and pursuits. You have a developed sense of ownership over those close to you and are often very jealous of anyone you see as a rival, wary of anything that could harm your relationships with loved ones. When you give yourself to someone or something, you do so wholeheartedly and expect absolute devotion in return. If a relationship must end, you experience it painfully, in a turbulent, deeply emotional way. In such moments, you are not the most pleasant person. If you are wronged, you are not inclined to turn the other cheek; at the first opportunity, you repay insult with insult. And, of course, you never forget an injury. Often, you remember slights and nurse grudges for a long time. Forgiving is very difficult for you. Whatever you do, you approach it with passion and determination, often to extremes. You are either intensely interested or utterly indifferent. The phrase “neither fish nor fowl” does not apply to you. You are either fully committed to something or consider it utterly uninteresting. Rarely are you emotionally objective. There’s no doubt: you have a good fanatic in you. Strong will and persistence in achieving goals often border on obsession in you. You are proud, courageous, and emotionally intense. You love the mysterious and take a deep interest in the hidden, secret, and taboo aspects of life. You are not satisfied with superficial knowledge; you always strive to pierce through the surface to uncover what truly lies beneath. You are more inclined toward cynicism than idealism.
