Chiron in the 2nd House
B. Israel. Planets in Houses
An individual is drawn to things that, at first glance, seem incomprehensible, multi-purpose, or can be used for purposes other than their intended ones. They collect intricately made objects, surprises, toys whose appearance conceals their true function (e.g., a lighter disguised as a gun, a pen that is actually a gun). They are interested in visual aids and medical equipment. It is difficult to influence the person’s well-being. Occult teachers, magicians, translators, and some medical professionals may have such an ability. They draw energy from the air element (the respiratory system is one of the main channels), though they can also draw from all four elements, switching between them.
Frances Sakoian. Planets in Houses
Little house, little house, turn your back to the forest, your front to me. The ruler. This is a challenging position, as the karmic task of the aspect is to establish a direct connection between the inner and outer worlds. To begin with, the person must at least realize that their inner work—particularly refining the general ethics of behavior within their environment—alters the nature of that environment rather than just the style of interaction with it. In their external life, the person will encounter many extraordinary events that will shift their perspective on the environment and demand a change in non-specific ethics. For example, they may face situations that require resolution, only to find that their existing notions of proper behavior are either inadequate or unsuitable for the task. Sometimes, the external world may erupt into chaos, placing the person in a seemingly impossible situation, the solution to which can only be found at the very edge of what is realistically possible—a method that, from the person’s perspective, seems almost impossible. Here, the individual must shift their attitude toward the environment, transcending conventional social ethics and considering something unusual, at least acknowledging its existence (what exactly this may be will be revealed by Chiron’s aspects and its position in the sign: Chiron in a water sign indicates unusual abilities of the human psyche, in a fire sign—thought-forms, and so on). Of particular importance for this aspect is establishing the laws governing such unexplored properties of the external world and developing an adequate ethics of behavior in corresponding external situations.
