Moon Square Mercury Transit
(Transit: Moon → Natal Mercury)
Various sources for the child’s horoscope
Your child may feel nervous and anxious. They will likely struggle to separate emotions from rational perceptions and find it difficult to express their needs. Emotions occupy a large place in their mind, preventing clear thinking and expression. They may be sentimental and tearful, or constantly chatter about trivialities. Possible disturbances in the nervous and digestive systems. The relationship between mother and child is free. The child perceives the mother as a sociable person. Later, disagreements and conflicts may arise between them.
Het Monster. Aspects
Thought is trapped in the past. Mood occupies such a large place that there is no time left for spiritual and intellectual pursuits. They burden others with stories about their family matters. They sympathize with friends, get along with family, but struggle to connect with “outsiders.” Disturbances in the central nervous system.

Opposition, square: a discrepancy between the emotional and intellectual. Inconstancy, frivolity, suggestibility to external influences, lack of focus, difficulties with self-expression—often manifesting in childhood as stuttering and other speech disorders. The person perceives and expresses the world differently, creating a disconnect between word and deed. There may also be a tendency to speak recklessly, engage in idle talk, or indulge in fantasies.

Moon square: One should distinguish between people whose soul is asleep and those from whom it has already departed. A Moon square creates significant internal difficulties tied to the planetary principle, especially in its perception. For example, a Moon–Mars square gives a sense of the external world’s aggression in situations where it is not remotely present, or the person may be aggressive and cruel without realizing it. A Moon square amplifies and exposes the ego’s programs tied to the planet: the person desperately wants to selfishly consume its principle, but external and internal circumstances prevent this, leading to deep frustration, resentment toward the world, feelings of deprivation, and more. Everything constantly trips them up, and the more they pity themselves, the worse things get.
The karmic essence of this square, however, does not lie in rigid asceticism or rejecting the planet’s principle (which can sometimes lead to illness) but in a thorough and careful study of the planet’s subconscious programs. This involves distinguishing between ego-driven and evolutionarily constructive components and establishing an appropriate “diet.” The problem of the square must be “eaten” by directing the planet’s vibrations inward—but this is difficult for the person to do. If the Moon is significantly stronger than the planet, the latter becomes heavily profaned. For example, a Moon–Venus square can make a person a ruthless consumer of the opposite sex, subconsciously perceiving (at least in love) the other as crude and primitive, while developing a respect (a skill that prevents conscious and subconscious profanation) for the opposite sex. Working through the square grants a deep understanding and subtlety regarding the planetary principle, as well as the ability to see its influence in another’s subconscious—endowing strong pedagogical abilities in relevant fields. For instance, a well-worked-through Sun–Moon square can characterize an excellent class teacher or elementary school teacher.
Moon square Mercury: If a thought occurs but fails to take shape in words, it means it was poorly invited. A Mercury square creates significant difficulties in integrating the planet’s principle with rational thought and language. The interpretation depends on which planet in the square is stronger. If Mercury dominates, the person will find their (or others’) thoughts and reflections about the planet’s principle excessively important and reasonable—though these often heavily distort the principle, as the person does not fully grasp it rationally, even if some of their thoughts are insightful. If the other planet is stronger in the square, the mind will be under its disharmonious influence, distorting, profaning, and narrowing it. The square will intrude rudely into the sign where Mercury is located, partially suppressing it.
A Mercury square is typically marked by a strong mental preoccupation with the planet’s issues and spheres of influence, along with a distorted initial understanding—fragmented yet occasionally precise and deep in places, but overall unsatisfactory. The person will struggle to believe this, even after repeated experiences. The level of working through the square is evident in the quality of speech when the person discusses the planet’s issues (assuming they speak calmly, i.e., through Mercury rather than Mars).
At a low level of processing, the person often tends to study (lecture) others to assert themselves at their expense, without truly understanding the subject they are discussing. Working through the square requires systematically filling gaps in mental perception of the planetary principle and abandoning direct mental pressure on it—along with the accompanying crude profanation (and a tendency toward speculation). Next, one must learn to overcome unnatural dullness when attempting to understand something new about the planet (the subconscious protest can be intense, even leading to severe depression or an inability to read text) and resist emotional resistance to growth, which deepens understanding.

Causes mental disorders, anxiety, irritability. A desire to pick a fight with anyone. Mercury is a fast planet—it strikes the Moon from one side, then another. And the transiting Moon strikes as well. It is strong in all women. Not only does it strike the natal Moon, but it also strikes the transiting one. That is the secret of feminine traits. In men, it strikes the stomach immediately, causing unusual reactions to familiar foods. At this time, it is best to change your diet or, better yet, fast.
