Mercury Square Mars
(Transit. Mercury → Natal Mars)
Various sources for the child’s horoscope
Your child is very impulsive, impatient, unable to sit still, and lacks the endurance to see things through to the end. They likely enjoy arguing, competing, and proving their point. However, their way of expressing thoughts is often sharp and direct, and sometimes they may even lie. Parents need to teach them to focus and compromise with other children.
Het Monster. Aspects
An unimportant sexual partner; possibly a liar. At best, a person consumed by impatience, unable to sit still, and lacking the endurance to finish what they start.
Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary
Opposition, square: a critical spirit becomes the dominant trait and transforms into verbal aggression. Events are poorly planned or managed, leading to chaos.

Mercury Square: If a thought crosses the mind but fails to take verbal form, it means it was poorly invited. The Mercury square creates significant difficulties for a person in interacting with the planet’s principle through rational thought and language. Interpretation depends on which planet in the square is stronger. If Mercury prevails, the person will consider their (sometimes others’) thoughts and reflections on the matter extremely important and reasonable, even though they often distort the planetary principle, as they do not fully understand it rationally. If the planet in the square is stronger, then overall thinking will be under its disharmonious influence, becoming distorted, profaned, narrowed, etc. In general, the Mercury square is characterized by a strong mental interest in the planet’s issues and spheres of influence, with initially distorted reasoning that tends toward fragmented perception and understanding—sometimes accurate and deep, but mostly unsatisfactory. The person will struggle to believe this, even after a series of events. The level of processing the aspect is evident in the quality of speech when the person discusses planetary issues (if they speak calmly, i.e., through Mercury rather than Mars). At a low level of processing the Mercury square, the person often tends to lecture others, asserting themselves at their expense, without fully grasping the subject. Working through this requires systematically filling gaps in mental perception of the planetary principle and avoiding direct mental pressure on it, which often leads to crude profanation (as well as a tendency toward speculation). Next, one must learn to overcome their unnatural dullness when trying to understand something new about the planet (subconscious resistance can be intense, even leading to severe depression or an inability to read text) and resist emotional outbursts of resistance to the development of deeply understanding individuals.
Mars Square: The razor used to sharpen the writer’s quill should not be used to chop cabbage. The Mars square gives planetary expressions roughness, disharmonious force that destroys its principle in all subtle manifestations. This destruction occurs both internally and externally, and if the person does not resist it, it can be quite strong. Karmaically, the Mars square signifies a prohibition on direct, unmediated energetic expression of the planetary principle (which never manifests harmoniously or constructively) and demands processing its higher octave. The person is internally very drawn to the spheres governed by the planet, pulled there by some force, and their opinion of their abilities (and often achievements) in these areas can be very high, though failures and disappointments will not be long in coming. At a low level, this person can sometimes be dangerous to others in the planet’s spheres, but they themselves are always the ones most at risk. In the case of the Mars square, the law of karma, which reciprocates for bringing disharmony into the world, acts swiftly and energetically (though sometimes the backlash only affects the person’s inner world, where internal destruction occurs, which may go unnoticed by others, except for the fact that the person’s overall level drops sharply). Internally, this aspect offers significant growth opportunities, awareness of one’s crude subconscious programs, including almost animalistic instincts represented in this case very vividly and distinctly, especially when the planet is activated, and their transformation into a more civilized and acceptable form—that is, transitioning to higher vibrational energies. Working through this allows the person to engage with the planet at lower energies while revealing subtleties of its principle that would otherwise be inaccessible. The person will know everything about the destructive force of the planet in its lower octave, giving them an understanding of its manifestations in others and the ability to help them process its principle, especially in taming their lower nature in the relevant areas; however, they will never fully master its free-flowing vibrations at a low level. For example, a Mars-Square-Venus aspect can produce a refined debauchee or an excellent sexologist, but the person will never become a sexual giant.

S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets
The mind becomes very sharp, excitable, hot, passionate, and impulsive; unrestrained in speech; hasty judgments; quarrels, arguments, conflict, and pugnacity; sharp, direct, biting remarks. Rudeness escalating to vulgarity, profanity, boorishness, sarcasm, criticism, nitpicking, and quarrelsomeness. The aspect creates much opposition and hostility. Possible fractures of arms and fingers, abrasions. The positive side—bold, quick, decisive mind; ability to act swiftly and find solutions rapidly. The person is unafraid to speak their mind directly. Very passionate and adventurous.
