Mercury Square Jupiter

Different sources for the child’s horoscope
Your child is very impulsive and curious, with many interests and hobbies. He likes to be first and foremost in everything. Sometimes he promises more than he can deliver. He expects too much from others while trying to avoid responsibility himself. He is eloquent in persuasion and tends to exaggerate. Parents should teach the child to be more thorough and reliable in thinking, plans, and attention to detail.
Het Monster. Aspects
Thoughts run high, but they are difficult to implement as they are usually not thought through in detail. However, with a strong Saturn, this flaw is mitigated. Generally, there is little organization or practicality. They promise more than they deliver. Full of good intentions, but lacking common sense and a sense of proportion. They blurt out secret information. When signing documents, they may fall for the tricks of cunning people.
Kathrin Obë. Astrological Dictionary
Opposition, square: lack of rigor in thinking, laziness, buffoonery. A tendency to boast about imagined abilities and talents, bluffing, and the habit of throwing dust in people’s eyes. In some cases, a person may promote someone else’s lie, mistakenly taking it for truth, while in others, they deliberately allow this substitution to gain power. When the time comes to reap the fruits of their wisdom, they are always aggrieved and dissatisfied.

Mercury Square: If a thought comes to mind but doesn’t translate into words, it means it wasn’t properly invited. The Mercury square creates significant difficulties for a person in interacting with the principle of the planet through rational thinking and language. The interpretation depends on which planet in the square is stronger. If Mercury prevails, the person will consider their (sometimes others’) thoughts and reflections on the planet’s matters to be exceptionally important and reasonable, even though they often distort the planet’s principle, as the person doesn’t fully understand it rationally. However, others’ thoughts may indeed be insightful. If the planet is stronger in the square, then overall thinking will be under its disharmonious influence, becoming distorted, vulgarized, narrowed, etc. In general, the Mercury square is characterized by a strong mental interest in the planet’s issues and spheres of influence, with initially distorted understanding—fragmented yet sometimes precise and deep in parts, but mostly unsatisfactory. The person finds it hard to believe this even after a series of events. The level of processing the aspect is evident in the quality of speech when the person talks about the planet’s matters (if they speak calmly, i.e., through Mercury rather than Mars). At a low level of processing the Mercury square, the person often tends to study (lecture) others, asserting themselves at their expense, without fully grasping the subject they are discussing. Working through this requires systematically filling in gaps in mental perception of the planet’s principle and avoiding direct mental pressure on it, which often leads to crude profanation (as well as a tendency toward speculation). Next, one must learn to overcome their unnatural dullness, which manifests when trying to understand something new about the planet (the subconscious protest can be very sharp, even leading to severe depression and an inability to read text), and resist emotional resistance to the development of deeper understanding of the planet. Jupiter Square: True greatness requires no proof, only measure. The Jupiter square promises the planet much… but unfortunately, this often remains just a promise. In the areas governed by the planet, the person feels their greatness—not just potential but actual—yet others usually don’t see it or doubt it, while the potential somehow never materializes. The Jupiter square gives the planet expansion, but not in the way the person desires: either in the wrong direction, in a style foreign to them, or simply not what they expected. At least, that’s how it seems to the person. This square (which can be called the Lucifer aspect) tempts one toward pride, superficiality, and easily obtained rewards that are not quite what the person wanted—and certainly not what they need for evolutionary growth. In the areas governed by the planet, the person shows a constant superficial interest in “higher matters,” philosophical generalizations, and abstract-religious approaches, but they tend to stop precisely at the point where something truly important and interesting begins—for them, it’s not presented as a luxurious gift requiring effort. For example, a Venus-Jupiter square with an emphasized Jupiter can produce a person who attracts a lot of love at first glance, appearing beautiful, interesting, and unusual, but in concrete romantic relationships, they turn out to be completely self-absorbed, focused only on their own beauty and grandeur, utterly incapable (and unwilling) to spare even a moment’s thought for the hopelessness of social (let alone emotional or sexual) connections—though arrogance doesn’t diminish. Karma-wise, this aspect demands (in the planet’s areas) learning to treat gifts and doors opened by fate with great care and caution, understanding that they require further work and are ultimately meant for the world, not just the individual. At a low level, the person tends to (if there’s even the slightest opportunity) play the role of a generous benefactor, which they fail at miserably, as their self-interest and inadequacy shine through, and their overall clumsiness evokes more irritation than pity or gratitude. Working through this aspect grants the rare ability to wisely use one’s luck, abandon false opportunities and temptations, and receive the priceless gift of true spiritual assistance, as well as the ability (in the planet’s areas) to guide others onto the right path by showing them the karmic role of their temptations and illusions.
Frances Sakoian. Aspects
Thoughts run high but are difficult to implement, and they are not thought through in detail unless Saturn is strong. There is little organization, balance, or practical content. They are hasty and grandiose in their plans, promising more than they deliver. They take on tasks beyond their maturity. Their optimism is unrealistic; they believe they can do anything and that the sea is knee-deep. Often, their mind and heart conflict in matters of philosophy and religion. Generous and full of good intentions, but lacking common sense and a sense of proportion. They can blurt out secret information to the wrong people. When signing documents, they may fall for the tricks of cunning, unreliable people. They often have an interest in esotericism and immerse themselves headfirst in matters that interest them, turning away from everyday life. They often speak a lot and with pathos to make an impression. They are selfish and arrogant.
S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets
Predictive abilities are impaired, leading to miscalculations, errors, and mistakes. A tendency toward deception, lies, injustice, and dishonesty. The mind becomes scattered, chaotic, fragmented, illogical, and inconsistent. The positive side of such aspects is sharpness and frankness; they can foster a struggle for justice and criticism of the higher-ups.
