Venus quincunx: A good artist tries to convey divine love to people, a bad one — to himself. This aspect produces a significantly more painful awareness, compared to the semi-sextile, of the difference between social and generally earthly ethics and aesthetics versus cosmic ones, while both will be somehow independently represented in the person’s subconscious, and their karmic task will be to reconcile them — for which the individual must learn to renounce the planet’s sphere from a cosmic perspective, and only then judge earthly matters. At a low level, the person lacks the strength and wisdom for this, and their ethics and aesthetics display a strange mixture of earthly and cosmic elements, which they themselves cannot sort out, sometimes causing partial confusion. At a medium level, however, strong inner conflicts are possible, since earthly bumps turn out to be avoidable only with the help of cosmic ski poles, which may seem to the person insufficiently correct or even impossible from the standpoint of social ethics, whose boundaries already appear clearly restrictive, yet to abandon them still feels too risky. For example, the Venus-Mars quincunx will bring specific social problems related to aggression — external, internal, and hidden — and the person will encounter situations where, according to earthly ethics, one must resist evil with force, but not with the force they possess, rather with one of much higher vibrational level, which they will need to develop throughout life. Neptune quincunx: One doesn’t have to be good: it’s enough to be honest and attentive. This aspect brings the influence of cosmic love into the planet’s spheres, which the person at a low level usually perceives negatively. Modern civilization is such that even earthly forces pushing a person toward evolutionary development are predominantly perceived as evil, and conscious spiritual growth is usually pursued by those who have ended up in a perfect blind alley in all other directions; therefore, high cosmic vibrations in the planet’s spheres mean for the person either incomprehensible shifts in consciousness (transcendent meditations), or such life turns that “you can’t understand without half a liter.” Yet the latter will lower the level of cosmic meditation to an earthly, understandable, and even nearly ecstatic state. If Neptune is afflicted, in the planet’s spheres there may arise an irrational feeling of cosmic guilt, usually repressed, and inner conflict due to the mismatch between perceptions of cosmic and earthly grace, mercy, and compassion, since the Cosmos is more interested in the evolution of spirit, while people are mainly oriented and largely limited to the physical, etheric, and astral bodies, and the laws of karma are blissfully ignored altogether. To overcome the contradiction between earthly and cosmic Neptunian influences, the person must learn to see karma, adopt a cosmic viewpoint, and only then attempt to harmonize earthly karma with higher influences — and for this, in the planet’s spheres, they must first rid themselves of constant petty lies and self-deception, which mask what is truly safe. Cosmic love does not so much soften suffering as shorten it, redirecting pain along more constructive paths for the individual.
