Decile of Mercury: To express participation, one must possess it. In the spheres of the Planet and, especially, in the rational reflections of a person, inclinations toward the humanitarian aspects of relevant issues will prevail. Verbally, a person will demand a humane approach and will be deeply offended by sharp (in their view) remarks from others, perceiving them as inhuman. However, in this case, the connection between the principle of the Planet and the Mercurial one is weak, so, on the one hand, negative moments associated with Mercury’s manifestations (e.g., hurtful words) do not directly affect the spheres governed by the Planet, although the person may feel otherwise. On the other hand, Mercury’s positive influence on a person and the corresponding spheres of the Planet has a weak direct effect, though the person may not notice it. Therefore, they must strive either for subtle effects or involve other planets to avoid (from the perspective of others) appearing as an empty talker and demagogue who cares about the well-being of others only in words.
Decile of Venus: Public consciousness is significantly more humane than subconscious societal attitudes. When the influence of Venus strengthens in the spheres governed by the Planet, and a person’s feelings soften, tending toward the perception—especially of beauty in forms and relationships—they feel a surge of humanism (in their understanding). At a low level, this can manifest as extreme capriciousness, where a person perceives any lack of attention, love, or even a simple failure to match their aesthetic tastes as sharply antihuman. For example, a woman with a Sun–Venus decile may (sincerely) consider it inhumane toward herself if a man invites her to an event where the hosts’ restrooms do not meet her standards. If the decile is afflicted, these effects may be emotionally intense, but in reality, Venus has only an indirect influence on the Planet’s principle. In its harmonious form, this is a deceptive aspect, as the humaneness expressed by Venus can be mistaken for love, which, unfortunately, is not the same thing. For instance, a Venus–Mars decile (if not severely afflicted) may produce a person who expresses themselves in a humane, beautiful, and caring manner in communication with the opposite sex, yet their elevated romantic love (Venus) and passionate ardor (Mars) combine in humane expressions, which may not satisfy their partner at all. The decile creates an overly subtle (often even for the person themselves) synthesis of planetary principles, indicating significant achievements in past incarnations.
