Jupiter-Pluto Sesquiquadrate
(Transit Jupiter → Natal Pluto)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Jupiter’s tridecile: Angelic wings exist not to kick up dust into one’s eyes. This aspect gives the individual impulses to assist life processes and development within the planet’s spheres, providing diverse support and expanding their possibilities, though this will require certain efforts from the person. At a high level, this individual may play a significant role in advancing and humanizing the areas ruled by the planet, finding in this their human self-expression (or, more simply, their true face). At a low level, it may remain limited to good intentions and a patronizing, contemptuous attitude; at a moderate level, there may arise a broad passive interest in the planet’s domains, especially regarding the problems of their life and development (as the person understands them), along with some situations where the individual can actively realize this, though without strong impact. If Jupiter is well-aspected, the person will have the opportunity to act within the planet’s spheres as a benefactor or sponsor, supporting those life manifestations that appeal to them; if Jupiter is afflicted, they may have similar pretensions, or their beneficence may bring complications, and the beneficent life will unfold quite differently from what they desired, and, most importantly, without gratitude or recognition of their merits. Pluto’s tridecile: While governing the destinies of nations, one should not forget one’s own. This aspect potentially provides a clear vision of the flaws and defects in the development of life within the planet’s spheres, and with afflicted Pluto, the person may perceive only these, creating an overall rather gloomy picture. Harmonious Pluto will grant the individual great opportunities for effectively treating these ills, particularly eliminating parasitic life forms, from which they may derive great satisfaction. For example, a well-developed Pluto-Moon tridecile may produce a skilled physician (especially with a strong sixth or twelfth house), while a Pluto-Venus tridecile may yield a harsh art critic, a biting satirist, or, with strong Mercury, a journalist who lashes out at societal sores. At a low level, criticism of life development in the planet’s spheres may become destructive and largely unjust, yet usually stems from good intentions and for the greater good, though not always achieving it, especially if the planet is afflicted. With severe affliction to the tridecile, tendencies toward black teaching of life manifestations may emerge—that is, the conscious destruction of life—usually at the lowest level, as a consequence of personal frustrations accompanied by pathological failures when attempting to discover (within the planet’s spheres) life development in their inner world and express it outwardly.
