Sun in Sagittarius

Het Monster: Sun in Sagittarius Like the Archer with a flaming arrow, the Winged Horse with a flying mane, I strive for dreams — stars on the horizon. I will reach them, and distance is no obstacle! The little winged horse, presented as the symbol of this sign instead of the usual Centaur (so as not to have to choose between an image for a boy and one for a girl), tells us something about your child’s personality. First of all, there is a strong desire to be free as the wind, to break away from the ground, to explore the world, and to reach for the stars. The little Archer is a romantic at heart, idealistic and recklessly brave, with Don Quixote’s faith that his “impossible dreams” can become reality. This child will not cling to its mother’s apron strings. Let it take flight, and it will soar without so much as a backward glance. But this should not break your heart. This is an independent, free-spirited child who needs a wider world to test its wings. Your happy Archer loves you — in fact, you are probably one of the ideals in which it most strongly believes. So keep in mind that if you ever step down from your pedestal, your child will likely forgive you and may even put you back up there, eager to protect the dream — though this will probably happen only after it has made its opinion of your mistake quite clear. Sagittarius is likely to be very frank and open. It may blurt out the whole truth, even if it hurts. Tact is not its strong suit. You should try to teach it to think before speaking, but don’t expect this to be an easy lesson. The little Archer does not harbor malice; remember that. It’s just that the truth, as it sees it, tends to spill out spontaneously. This child has an enthusiastic, expansive, optimistic interest in life. It is drawn to distant lands and unusual adventures, even if it never leaves its own yard. If it cannot travel there in body, its mind will get there through reading and imagination. Nurture your Archer’s imagination by providing old quirky clothes and accessories for dressing up and playing any number of characters. Give it books about mysterious and magical adventures. Sagittarius will be concerned with global issues and ideals; even at a young age, it may express a clearly formed opinion on world problems or philosophical questions. Interestingly, however, it may be very careless when it comes to details. It will tend to jump to conclusions before all the facts are known and will state these conclusions in a very authoritative tone. Details may also slip through the cracks when your child compares your version of what constitutes a tidy room or completed homework with its own. This happens not so much out of irresponsibility as because it “blooms” with change and hates tight constraints. Be patient — precisely because your little Archer is not. You can get the work done better if you’re willing to accept it in small doses (one task or directive at a time), with enough variety in between. Turning the task into a fantasy game can also help. Most little Archers will love sports and excel in some of them, though they will prefer individual sports to team ones. They need plenty of physical activity, so give your child a chance to try different sports and see which one it chooses. As hinted by its animal symbol, your Archer will probably love horses (not just winged ones!) and everything connected with them. Coordination is likely to be quite good, but since the little Archer is always in a hurry to get somewhere, it will often trip over its own feet in its haste or because it is daydreaming instead of watching where it’s going.

Indubala. Planets in Signs. (Indian tradition)

Sagittarius is a “masculine,” “fiery” sign symbolized by the archer with a bow. People born with the Sun in Sagittarius are usually healthy and optimistic. They are sincere and truthful. These are people you can rely on; they have a pure character. Their manner is direct and open. They usually set high life goals and go straight to the goal. According to the ancient text “Brihad-Jataka,” such people are respected by saints, engaged in religious activities, wealthy, independent, may know medicine or be trained in the art of sculpture. People with the Sun in Sagittarius are passionate; they are treated with respect and sometimes even indulged. They are reliable, persistent, respected by people. They are happy, popular, religious, usually wealthy; they have musical abilities. Such a person has the character of a leader among the people around them. Their character is content, cheerful; they have great hopes for the future. They are steadfast in their determination; they may be occupied with only one thing at a time. There is a duality in their character: they are partly materialistic, partly spiritual. Classical texts describe such people as prudent, capable of making good decisions; they are merciful and cheerful. They are confident in themselves, inventive, original; these are creative people who do not like to work under anyone’s subordination. They will express their opinion frankly and sincerely. They have good health and good sons. They love travel, are inclined to change jobs and places of residence if it benefits their career. They lead a virtuous life; they have strong willpower, love freedom and independence. Jupiter rules Sagittarius, so the life of such a person is entirely blameless; it purifies its heart and frees it from material desires.

Pavlo Globa. Planets in the Zodiac Signs

Here we arrive at the last, third zone of the Zodiac, the zone of transformation and destruction, where all four elements represented here appear already in mutable, transformed form. In the “Fire” of Sagittarius, the element of Earth begins to manifest, in the “Earth” of Capricorn the element of Air starts to resonate in the background, in Aquarius the signs of Water are felt, and in the Water of Pisces the manifestations of Fire are observed. Sagittarius is Fire in the third zone, Fire that transforms, mutable, experiencing metamorphosis, in which Earth elements appear. On the external level, Sagittarius has a great deal of Fire, while on the internal level the element of Earth begins to sound. The main forming planet for Sagittarians is Jupiter. The symbol of Sagittarius is the Centaur with a bow and arrow, whose arrow is aimed upward toward the new, higher, spiritual. This is a very interesting sign, complex and, to a certain extent, contradictory even in its symbolism: the Centaur is a man-horse. In the best case, it is a man-horse; in the worst, it is a horse-man, meaning you start with hooves, legs, and somehow have “something” on top. Here occurs the fusion of two aspects, two halves: the animal, human, and higher, spiritual aspect. Earth in this sign forms conservatism, a desire to protect the old and sometimes a reluctance to create the new. You are very impulsive and, as a rule, magnanimous. Even with varying degrees of openness and closedness, you may have a very open soul. You can be overly frank and sociable, distinguished by independence, a love of risk, and a constant striving for freedom. Such is the manifestation of the element of Fire and its influence on the spiritual structure. On the internal level, however, the element of Earth manifests in you, so in your actions you are often conservative, seeking what has already been accumulated and firmly established. If you enter a new sphere of activity or science, you do so only when there is already a certain stability, a new platform has emerged. Having outlined your head, in completely new circumstances you will never go anywhere, so in extreme situations you defend all that is old, traditional, and solid—something to rely on. You are even capable of destroying the new that is emerging, even what appears in your inner world, for the sake of the old. It should be noted that you usually plan your place under the Sun, knowing in advance where you will go and what you will do, planning your field of activity in life, and the combination of Earth and Fire gives you unwavering resolve. Generally, you usually love to lecture, especially on a lower, intellectually deprived level. In the case of higher development, this quality is hidden and used more constructively. That is why among Sagittarians we find many teachers and educators. You can easily endear yourself to others. You are likely an attractive person, and this is usually not related to appearance. You may be unattractive, but charm radiates from you. A smile that flashes on your face transforms you and ignites everything around you. On the other hand, however, you are very pedantic about your interests. When it comes to your personal interests, it is better not to cross you, because in the lower and middle cases you awaken the lower animal within yourself and may display the worst horse-like qualities: butt heads, kick, or lie down. So in critical situations, it is better not to provoke you. When you work as a boss, relationships with you are quite difficult, but in the higher case, you are always approachable.

A typical representative of the sign of Sagittarius was the famous statesman W. Churchill. Externally, he was a rough, sharp, and intolerant man, reflecting the influence of Aries, but internally he maintained a very rigid structure, a clear position, and the iron conservatism of the Earth element. It is interesting to note that from the age of 17 Churchill knew astrology, knew his horoscope, his fate, and fully understood that if he were to come to power, it would only be after the age of 50. Until then, he did anything but politics, calmly waiting for his star time. And when that time came, he made a brilliant political career, literally rising to the pinnacle of political power in just two years.

Popes Julius II and Leo X were also Sagittarians; these were people who in their actions and worldview adhered to established traditions, positions, a set course, and a rather rigid spiritual hierarchy. Born under the sign of Sagittarius were Nero, Mary Stuart, Beethoven, Heine, Tyutchev, Rilke, Blok, and Nekrasov. Speaking of your worst manifestations, this may include a love of awards and honors. You love to “shoot” for awards. In our history, there was such a Sagittarius—L. I. Brezhnev—who “shot” awards onto his broad chest, and we all know and have seen what Sagittarians who have reached the heights of power without inner spiritual foundations can be like. Sagittarians sometimes have problems with speech, with words, so the well-known Sagittarius Brezhnev spoke poorly.

In the higher case, you are a highly spiritual person, you can be a priest who adheres to the divine, cosmic hierarchy given by God. At a higher level, you can even be a cosmic high spiritual Teacher, a guide of the cosmic high spiritual Law, a person who has the moral and spiritual right to teach. You can be a missionary who selflessly spreads spiritual knowledge. Without Sagittarians, our world would be spiritually poor and deficient. At the middle level, you are a boss, often conservative, who easily gives orders and loves to create ideological structures. At the lower level, you are a bureaucrat, and for you, on the one hand, there is reverence for rank and sycophancy, and on the other, you can be an upstart and adventurer, achieving your position by the most unfavorable means.

The country of Sagittarius is Poland. Indeed, this is where the not-so-best qualities of Sagittarius manifest, as citizens of this country travel all over Europe, “shooting” for things and selling them in other countries. Your main spiritual challenge is to work out the lower aspect within yourself, to subordinate the “horse” to the “human,” since in the Centaur the “horse” sometimes manifests in the most terrible and indecent form. Your karmic task is to carry high ideology to people. You launch your arrow toward spiritual heights and thus gain access to spiritual knowledge and systems that you must karmically bring into our physical manifestation.

Het Monster. Planets in the Signs of the Zodiac

23.11. – 21.12. SAGITTARIUS Sagittarius loves to “show himself off”; he strives for freedom and seizes every moment of it. He seeks to “go out into the world” and already counts among his achievements those feats that are yet to be accomplished. He retains youthfulness for a long time thanks to his interest in life and people. He is not made for dramas and heavy situations, which he avoids with all his might. His optimism, mental and physical health, and sense of humor earn him the sympathy of others. Sagittarius is an enthusiastic and straightforward person, which often earns him enemies. Yet, he is loved; he is generous—unless someone encroaches on his sacred freedom. He dislikes taking on obligations and would sooner give up profit than let anything bind him. He loves surrounding himself with friends and helping them. His fate is tied to foreign lands, foreigners, and travel in general. His optimism is unforgettable: it helps him overcome difficulties faster than others can. With a strong Mars or Uranus, he may have a gambler’s soul, capable of staking his entire future on “heads or tails.” Often, Sagittarians build careers, “settle down” in life, and become directors, etc. The best and most successful age for them is maturity. Sagittarius has a healthy mindset and a powerful electric potential that needs an outlet. This could be horseback riding, motorsports, tourism—activities that require sustained energy expenditure. Sciatica and various kinds of “lumbago.” Among the elements, iron is indicated; among herbs, sage. It is recommended to sleep with legs slightly elevated (a bolster or pillow).

Sagittarius. Ruler Jupiter. The unyielding Sagittarius.

To properly understand Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces, one must significantly expand their understanding of the fundamental principles upon which both the inner and outer life of a person rest (there are twelve such principles in total, corresponding to the twelve signs of the Zodiac) and acknowledge as foundational those aspects that either do not exist for the superficial observer or seem ephemeral. In the signs of the transformative zone, the elements manifest themselves more perfectly than in the preceding zones, making it clear that their true resonance is achieved only in the subtle world. Another feature of the signs in the transformative zone is that alongside the element they represent, the next element in sequence begins to resonate subtly in the background. Thus, in Sagittarius, elements of the Water element appear, and in Pisces, elements of Fire.

The Sagittarius person. The Fire element in Sagittarius is predominantly represented in its ideal form, meaning the energetic flow of Sagittarius passes through ideas, mostly of a general nature. The higher Sagittarius is a spiritual leader, a religious guide blessed by grace, whose ideas and words possess the power to ignite people and guide them along the path indicated by the Sagittarius. The precision of his arrows is astonishing, yet they do not shatter human hearts; instead, they subordinate them to the Sagittarian idea.

The background of the Earth element in Sagittarius manifests in the fact that this idea must necessarily have a fully practical direction (though its implementation may unfold differently). Sagittarius and Virgo are the main idealists of the Zodiac; the difference between them lies in the fact that Virgo looks from below upward—from earth to sky—and sees the earth clearly but the sky poorly, whereas Sagittarius, conversely, looks from the sky down to the sinful earth, and its details elude him, though he navigates the sky—the realm of high ideas and their energetic flows—with ease.

Sagittarius, in his own way, is a complete pragmatist. He moves exclusively through practical and earthly matters, yet for some reason often overlooks obvious things and such private details as the field of a situation, the mood of the interlocutor, and so on. His idea possesses him entirely, and he seeks to improve the entire world with it. However, he lacks the impulsiveness of Aries or the domineering nature of Leo. If Sagittarius sometimes appears naive, especially to Virgo, in reality, this is not the case: he simply views certain things from too great a distance. Still, one must remember that his gaze is always directed toward the earth, and while he may err in specifics, he will not err in the whole.

If the expression of Aries resembles the explosion of a bomb, and that of Leo, a steady stream of a flamethrower, then Sagittarius (a mutable sign) can be compared to a gas burner with many tongues of flame. Sagittarius does not have a single narrow idea; either he has many, or one that is broad enough and perfectly adaptable to various situations. Sagittarius is not prone to the sharp Arian depressions or the stubbornness of Leo: the strongest gust of wind may extinguish only a few of Sagittarius’ flames; the rest will continue to burn and soon reignite the extinguished ones.

Sagittarius is not inclined to force a situation: when he sees it resisting his influence, he either changes his approach or withdraws, but in either case, he does not suffer psychological trauma. His optimism and cheerfulness seem inexhaustible—almost so, especially considering his dislike for hopeless and fading situations where pure energy is consumed, as well as any kind of vampires. From such situations and people, Sagittarius flees with a speed unmatched by other signs of the Zodiac, taking full advantage of his obvious superiority in both the number and length of his legs.

His typical behavior in daily life is to enthusiastically distribute a thousand advances and promises and honestly try to fulfill them all… well, what couldn’t be done, forgive him, for he did everything he could—and then the conversation naturally and charmingly shifts to another topic.

The higher octave of the signs in the transformative zone represents cosmic love expressed through the corresponding element. Sagittarius embodies the fiery manifestation of divine love, which unprepared people perceive as an incomprehensible charm and attractiveness of the personality’s ideas. In reality, Sagittarius strikes a spark of divine fire in the heart with his arrows, and for a moment, a person feels like Brahma, Vishnu, or Shiva, depending on their horoscope and the current situation.

For the lower octave of Sagittarius, the focus is on energetic (and fundamentally practical) ideas at the expense of attention to the reality into which this idea is being introduced. The thesis “an idealist is a fool” is provoked precisely by the lower octave of Sagittarius. If Aries is blinded by his idea and Leo is imperiously enslaved by it, Sagittarius can see much better and is far freer—but (in poor development) he does not wish to look around or make responsible choices. He is content to bask in the warmth of cosmic energy, illuminating the world in general terms without delving too deeply into tedious specifics.

Virgo considers him a lazy demagogue and a drone, a parasite feeding on her labor, while he sees her as hopelessly mired in useless details and trifles, unable to see beyond her own nose and finding masochistic satisfaction in futile bustle that no one needs. All the signs of the transformative zone are instinctively religious, regardless of rational beliefs. This means they are born with an open channel of communication with the egregore, which they can access at any moment; the nature of this connection depends on the element. Sagittarius feels his connection with the Cosmos directly, through energy. It must be said that despite the rough exterior characteristic of all fire signs, Sagittarius is significantly more refined than his brothers Aries and Leo. His energetic flows are far more closely tied to general and subtle ideas, and he literally feels their divine origin and invisible power over the world. Thus, he knows that his energy and ideas will reach their destination without direct pressure—it is enough simply to spread them around, and the principle applies: “When I come, all My disciples will know Me.”

This direct energetic channel of connection with the egregore operates almost constantly, which is why Sagittarius is difficult for not only non-fire signs but sometimes even for Aries and Leo to understand. First, Sagittarius is always filled with the best and highest intentions and strives to do as much good as possible. Second, Sagittarius is unwavering in his conviction that the raw, even if rough, truth passing through him is absolutely necessary for everyone he encounters (and for the rest as well). Third (if there is no strong affliction), this is usually the case, and those around him easily forgive his mistakes—not only because of his supernatural direct charm (though that plays a significant role) but because (as they sense) he has no ulterior motives.

The subtlety lies in the fact that such behavior is karmically permitted only to Sagittarius. Even Aries and Leo are forbidden from acting this way, given their specific fire complexes (the significance of their own flow); however, Sagittarius is not occupied with self-assertion or particularly striving for it. His main concern is simply the opportunity to shine—that is, to energetically express his thoughts and feelings. How much those around him understand and appreciate them concerns him far less.

Sagittarius instinctively guards his energetic channel and does not tolerate any restriction of his freedom. A potential oppressor or aggressor will fare very poorly, for the wrath of Sagittarius resembles a forest fire. Yet Sagittarius perceives freedom first and foremost as freedom of self-expression, especially on subtle levels. A developed Sagittarius will suffer far more from the lack of freedom of speech in society than from personal poverty, even if he is neither a writer nor a public figure.

The main temptation of Sagittarius is the moment when he begins to believe that everything is permitted to him, and any foolishness or carelessness can be smoothed over with his charm. The main difficulty for him, however, is learning to perceive his energetic flow as a divine gift (which it has not always been, is not, and, of course, never will be).always will give it away to those around them precisely by His command, not by their own whim. However, if this is not done, Sagittarius degrades. Their ideas become hollowed out (meaning their energy dissipates, the Sagittarian egregore narrows the channel) and turn into flat mental clichés that inspire no one but instead provoke strong irritation (empty slogans that lack the power of justification). Then Sagittarius either changes egregores (more precisely, their egregore surrenders Sagittarius to the slavery of a lower egregore) and shifts to a harsher energy, so that their rudeness is perceived as ordinary boorishness, and their sincerity of self-expression borders on standard egoism, or retreats from reality into a very low-energy world. The Virgos mentioned above turn out to be entirely justified. Freedom-loving and independent in the lower octave of Sagittarius, it turns into dogmatism and a fantastic desire to comb everyone under one comb: here independence is understood as unquestioning submission of others to oneself, and freedom implies only one’s own ego. An undeveloped Sagittarius is extremely superficial, but this superficiality is, in a sense, the opposite of the superficiality of Gemini: they look at things from too broad a perspective, so details become invisible, and the result is a flat (and banal) picture with very coarse energy; undeveloped Gemini, on the other hand, look at things in an overly isolated and concrete way and do not sense depth at all, so all plans blur together.

Jupiter’s rulership gives Sagittarius extraordinary optimism and a sense of universal favor from fate. Moreover, Jupiter emphasizes the nobility of the fire element in Sagittarius, whose source is a broad view of things. Understanding a phenomenon means finding its precise place in the worldview, and Jupiter helps with that; the focus is that this illuminates the phenomenon with bright light, and what once seemed ugly, unnecessary, and repulsive turns out to be functional and, in its own way, beautiful. However, this requires adopting the correct perspective or, for stability, several such points—a task that comes naturally to Sagittarius. Their ethics are Jupiterian: they can pity anyone and freely give them a piece of divine energy, but unfortunately, they are not inclined to observe what is done with it, so Sagittarius, with the best intentions, can produce a great deal of harm without noticing it. Their frivolity, irresponsibility, and adventurism are matched only by their charm. Yet all of this is merely camouflage; in reality, Sagittarius fulfills a very important karmic task—they spread their energy, enthusiasm, and success to the entire world. Therefore, one should not take offense at them: otherwise, Jupiter will stop bringing you happiness. Jupiter is the planet of compensation and expansion of opportunities. Thus, Sagittarius never gets stuck on their problems or failures but instead finds inner reserves and ways to switch focus. Their natural way of consoling a friend might sound something like this: why dwell on loss or failure when there is so much else in the world (friends, women, jobs, opportunities—all things Sagittarius has in abundance)? And indeed, they do have a lot.

If Cancer seeks reserves in the depths of their psyche, Sagittarius finds them without delving deep, simply by expanding their perspective, which gives the impression of an easygoing nature. Upon closer inspection, however, it resembles a miracle: the person constantly receives psychological support without any visible grounds. Good mood and optimism are never without cause—their foundation is strong energy. In this sense, Sagittarius is the most protected sign of the Zodiac, as they feel Jupiter’s benevolent support everywhere (including psychologically and energetically), and for the same reason, they are weak psychologists because they find it difficult to imagine the characteristic difficulties and sorrows of others.

Sagittarius struggles the most in situations where energy is low and what is needed is not its increase but a deep restructuring of the situation at that energy level. Here, standard Sagittarian behavior is inappropriate, and they feel truly uncomfortable: they sense that their energy is not accepted, their charm does not work, and if possible, they quickly disappear. Mercury in detriment gives an undeveloped Sagittarius poor understanding of rational argumentation, difficulty in mental contacts, and dubious persuasiveness of their own ideas. Yet it seems they do not need it: detailed logical analysis kills inspiration and disrupts the energetic flow (no wonder Mercury’s fall is in Leo, the sign of energy par excellence). Mercury in detriment emphasizes Sagittarius’ external indifference to the results of their energetic influence but creates an internal, subconscious desire to maximize the spread of their energetic channels (i.e., to give the world what was previously called grace).

The main inner task of Sagittarius (as well as Gemini) is to establish a balance between Jupiter and Mercury. Jupiter’s dominance gives Sagittarius too broad a view of things; Mercury in detriment creates an internal longing for details. Direct implementation of this leads to a loss of energy. Moreover, Jupiter does not allow one to focus too closely on details—they begin to shift and flicker like in a kaleidoscope, something Sagittarius cannot tolerate for long and returns to their usual scattered perception. This does not mean that their arrows miss the mark. A developed Sagittarius hits the target with extraordinary precision, though they do not know why. In reality, two factors are at play here: on one hand, a developed Sagittarius consciously sees the big picture (Jupiter) and often demonstrates to the world the power of general reasoning (the deductive method); on the other, their subconscious (Mercury) meticulously tracks the details of the most important fragments of reality, as indicated to them.

A Sagittarius of the higher octave can, by rising to the highest levels of generalization and abstraction, remain practical and not lose sight of essential details. This is the sign of great religious teachers and existential philosophers who can demonstrate to the amazed world the unity of the Cosmos and the Absolute in a single dewdrop.

On the mundane level, the situation of Sagittarius is exemplified by a cheerful feast with lavish toasts in the Eastern style, where not reality but the ideal that reality, in their view, should strive for is proclaimed. The lower octave of Sagittarius manifests in religious wars, nationalism, and any form of fanaticism—blind devotion to an energetic idea considered the highest.

Under Sagittarius falls the creation and unification of ethnic groups, national liberation, and civil wars. The mutable cross associated with Sagittarius means that they choose slogans for mass movements that are simple and intuitively understandable to all; their inspiring and unifying power exceeds all expectations. However, it is often left to other signs, most often Virgo, to clean up the aftermath of Sagittarius’ activities—a task they despise.

The high expression of Sagittarius is an inspired prayer, especially collective and with specific goals, a passionate sermon, or a heated religious or philosophical debate. Sagittarius’ charm strongly influences the youth, who are easily inspired by their typically fiery, naive-romantic ideas of world transformation, the creation of new types of states, or social relations. What matters to Sagittarius is the fervor of the speech and the nobility of the main idea, not its logic—the latter is considered insignificant.

————————————————————–

The Sun forces Sagittarius to fight for their idea and put it into practice, but not as straightforwardly as Aries or Leo do. On one hand, this makes Sagittarius’ task easier, as they can adapt the general type of energy and behavior to the situation; on the other, it leads to the possibility of great distortions. If a solar Aries is deprived of their flow for misbehavior, and a solar Leo is struck on the head, a solar Sagittarius quickly finds another approach or changes their idea. Their enthusiasm and willpower do not suffer from setbacks for long. The Sun generally conveys a sense of divinity or, at least, an unshakable will (in the houses where it resides, rules, or aspects), but the solar Sagittarius must live with the conviction of divine election in their worldview, ideas, and energetic currents they channel. Thus, they fight for these ideals not just for life but to the death, though—properly speaking—they do so more adaptively and intelligently than other fire signs. With a strong affliction, fanaticism and narrow-mindedness may arise, yet they wield extraordinary influence over followers.

Sagittarius, when presenting universal ideas, always seeks practical application, and the extent to which they achieve this depends on refinement. Meanwhile, a challenged Sun is more likely to ground them than harmonious aspects, which might easily produce a domestic philosopher-romantic whose Sun in the chart is otherwise barely engaged (a common pitfall for planets and signs harmoniously placed).

A well-developed Sun in Sagittarius produces an energetic and flexible leader with an individual approach to people, above all capable of inspiring them with the ideals they serve. However, they will struggle to limit themselves or manage administrative tasks, preferring to delegate such duties to a deputy—preferably a Capricorn. What the solar Sagittarius cannot tolerate is restriction of their freedom or the absence of an inspiring ideal; if, despite their adaptability, they cannot find one, they wither and smolder.

Those with the Sun in Sagittarius are filled with a sense of responsibility toward society and themselves. They love to explore new fields of knowledge, travel, and possess abstract thinking. Idealism is often inherent in them, and they are typically just, honest, and magnanimous. Outwardly, they are very courteous, affable, and enjoy standing up for others. They know how to listen, enjoy meeting the desires of others, love and know how to nurture, and set an example. They are very self-confident; their pride must not be offended, as this angers them. They need to learn patience, as they often lose their composure and cannot restrain themselves, though they have enough sense of humor to snap out of it in time and pass off their outburst as a friendly gesture. They love to give advice. They can get along with anyone, from a janitor to a minister. They may seem naive and sincere, but they will not allow themselves to be deceived. They always have a goal in sight, which they pursue with ambition, striving upward, and they often succeed. They treat others in a fatherly manner but demand respect for themselves (if this is not met, they may laughingly warn a couple of times, and then may even slam their fist on the table). They remember kindness and are devoted to those who once helped them; they are tolerant, easily forgive others’ mistakes, and are magnanimous.

They have an interest in religion, literature, and new forms of art. They are natural leaders but do not forget the pleasant sides of life; they enjoy feasting, drinking, and eating without regard for their figure or health, though they can also set an example of asceticism. In general, they have a strong desire to be a role model for others, love being first, and want to shape others. They are driven by a desire to learn as much as possible about the surrounding world, to understand the connections within it, but the information they receive, without processing it, is immediately passed on. At work, they cannot be sidelined; they must have their own area of responsibility where they can make decisions and be accountable for them. They can present, organize, and balance. Their profession must provide opportunities for growth and a career, or they will try to find one. They do not abuse power. They make good leaders, capable of understanding not only the interests of the matter at hand but also the problems of those involved. They are executors, judges, educators, teachers, religious figures, and preachers of ideas. They like their work to be evaluated based on merit. Often, they dream of another, beautiful country where they would like to work. If a task interests them and seems important, they may work for free. They know how to support those in distress, restoring their faith in life.

Their love is passionate but restrained. They take a long time to choose a partner, hesitate, and experience many adventures before finding one, but once they do, they uphold the banner of their union with pride. If they meet a new partner, they confess immediately, as they cannot deceive for long. They do not want to share their partner with anyone and try to work, travel, and argue together. Many unions do not break up even if love fades, as a loving relationship grows into friendship, mutual aid, and protection. However, if their vanity is wounded, love ends. They cannot tolerate criticism from their partner. Otherwise, they are affable, magnanimous, and tolerant of minor weaknesses; children feel good with them, as they set an example.

Dangers: vanity, which often deceives; sensitivity to criticism (they may become furious); a passion for excesses—feasting, drinking, gluttony. Every Sagittarius is prone to one of these and knows no boundaries. They may have delusions of grandeur, boastfulness, and often promise more than they can deliver. They can either build wealth or squander it. Overeating and excessive alcohol consumption can lead to osteochondrosis, arthritis, rheumatism, salt deposits, and damage to the lumbosacral spine. They may also suffer from injuries, cuts, dislocations of the hip joints during sports, lung, liver, and nervous system diseases. In general, their constitution is strong, with high resistance, but weak blood and nervous system.

Deep down, you are a player and an adventurer who loves risk, loves to discover and explore new worlds. You choose paths no one has walked, preferring adventurous roads over safe and reliable ones. You have an independent, restless character and a thirst for freedom. You need a lifestyle that allows you to travel, stay in motion. You crave change and opportunities to meet new people, to expand your horizons. You hate stagnation and routine. You are confident in your future, as long as your freedom of action is not restricted. Life for you is a journey, an adventure, rich with possibilities, and it is difficult for you to decide where to focus your attention and efforts. Before making a choice, you may have wandered the world, tried different paths. Or you may switch from one grand topic to another—this is also characteristic of your nature. As soon as you begin to understand how to solve a problem, it loses its interest for you. The ability to follow through, self-discipline, and the ability to concentrate on something are not your strongest traits. You may display irresponsibility and be in no hurry to take on the burdens and limitations of adult life. An incorrigible optimist, you dream of something great and hope for the future. Usually, you pursue some distant goal, have a great reserve of faith and confidence that life will take care of you. Failures cannot crush your spirit. Like a rubber ball, you bounce back from disappointments, often already with another grand dream or project in mind. You have a sporting attitude toward life and philosophically accept mistakes. You have the ability to foresee the direction in which the future will develop, to see events on a large scale without getting bogged down in details. You enjoy theorizing and reflecting but will not delve into all the details to put the theory into practice. You express yourself openly, directly, and even bluntly; sometimes you can be insolent and tactless. Since you do not take yourself too seriously, it is quite possible that you often do not realize how your frank statements can hurt more sensitive souls. Essentially, your unconscious insensitivity and lack of understanding of people’s feelings is one of your worst flaws.

Undoubtedly, you derive great pleasure from friendship and social relationships, but you also need freedom. This is why you do not get along with those who dominate everyone, with people who cannot maintain proper boundaries in relationships, or with partners who are overly demanding of attention. The person with whom you will want to spend most of your time is only someone who shares your ideas, your appetite for life, and has a sense of humor.
