Aquarius Child

Don’t be surprised if your little “star child” seems a bit different from the others from the very beginning. Perhaps a little mysterious. Or more intellectual. Or eccentric. If you have even a drop of free spirit in you, you’ll get along famously with this child. If, however, you lean toward conservatism and tradition, be prepared for some disagreements. This child is a PERSONALITY and will insist on doing things his own way, even if it challenges your ideas of what’s “right.” You’ll hear the question “Why?” often, so be ready to offer a more substantial argument than “Because I said so.” Your child will be more willing to cooperate if he understands the logic behind why something should be done a certain way. He can be taught to respect the thoughts and ideas of others, even if he disagrees with them—but only as long as they don’t encroach on his individuality. You should carefully consider which areas of behavior are most important to you and why. You’ll achieve better agreement on the important things if you allow him free expression of his views in less significant situations. For example, an unusual hairstyle might be a fair trade for good grades in school, which will give your little reformer a solid education to turn his ideas for social change into reality. Do you get the idea?

Aquarians always think ahead. Your child may greet you warmly and affectionately, but don’t expect excessive sentiment or emotional displays in personal relationships. He’ll be friendly and open with everyone, but rarely allows anyone to get too close. It’s unlikely this child will cling to his mother or express a lot of emotion within the family, but he’ll offer selfless help to others if he sees the need. He may not listen to your reasoning about the necessity of cleaning his room, but he might spend hours walking through the yard or park picking up litter. Your child will love everything new and unusual—in ideas, fashion, and technology. If possible, get him a computer or encourage this interest at school. Let him try his hand at the creative arts, modern dance, and perhaps even astrology! (Various sources for a child’s horoscope)

Aquarius is ruled by the unpredictable planet Uranus. The key phrase defining this planet’s character is: “The impossible happens!” Those born under this sign are capable of boundless love for all humanity and strive to serve in the name of humanitarianism. When necessary, they’re ready to stand up for the suffering and fight for justice. The symbol of Aquarius is the Water Bearer. Without water, life cannot exist, and this sign embodies an inexhaustible source of life. Perhaps this is the core idea of Aquarius’s mission—to bring a fresh current into our lives. Though this sign seems inextricably linked to water, remember that Aquarius’s element is air. Sometimes this is forgotten. Like all air signs, Aquarius children rely primarily on their intellect and logic. They perceive the world objectively and understand it through reason. They’re restrained in emotional expression and may seem detached or indifferent. Such children crave complete independence and don’t need any support, preferring to act as they please, regardless of others’ opinions. They’re entirely self-sufficient and never dance to someone else’s tune. They’re individualists in the truest sense of the word. At the very least, it can be said that unusual, often unique personalities are always born under this sign.

Aquarius children need freedom like the air they breathe. It’s the only thing that allows those born under this sign to be who they are. Aquarians tend to approach everything unconventionally and sometimes openly protest against traditions and customs. Such behavior may frustrate someone, but how else can new, unknown paths be discovered if you only walk the beaten track? Aquarius children are inconsistent and utterly indifferent to what surrounds them. They care the least about what they wear. They have no whims or fancies, and they don’t even care what to wear for a formal event. By the way, in such cases, they’ll need your help and advice. But insist only in extreme cases. Aquarius children need to feel freedom, individuality, and independence. Moreover, they can be very stubborn. They can’t be pushed. Such children have their own opinions on everything, so you’ll need to be inventive and tactful to persuade them to do something your way or make concessions. Present your wish not as a demand but as a suggestion, then reconsider, giving the child the freedom to choose. Remember that the child must make the decision independently, so express your opinion gently, logically, and unobtrusively, giving time for reflection and realization.

The most important thing to remember is that your little Aquarius’s life should be as varied as possible. He’s always eager to learn, with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and research. Such children are interested in new technologies, especially those related to computer development, and they love science fiction! Aquarius children are extremely curious. They usually thrive in school and have an excellent memory. When it comes to education, you’ll find that the child barely needs your control or guidance. Young Aquarians are often talented in music, literature, and the visual arts—their works stand out for their originality, unconventionality, and unusual vision of the world. Your child will always have a wide range of interests, hobbies, and acquaintances. Be prepared for the fact that in the future, he may choose friends from very different, original people. You may not approve of such choices personally, but you’ll have to accept them because Aquarius doesn’t do anything without a good reason. Know that your child is a “world unto himself,” so peer pressure has no effect on him. At the same time, the child may have many friends of various characters and temperaments.

Aquarius children sometimes come across as rebels; they always seem ready to fight for something new. Like true philanthropists, they see to the root of the matter. In the future, Aquarians often join societies advocating political and social change. The key word for Uranus, the ruler of this sign, is liberation. Sometimes Aquarians tend to approach problem-solving too radically, yet by nature, they’re very intelligent and rational. Despite being progressive thinkers and sincere revolutionary reformers, their rational side saves them from excessive fanaticism. But how dangerous it is to be a free thinker born under a sign that signifies constancy! Aquarians often want to participate in rallies and protest marches—they’re true crusaders by nature. Guide your child’s thoughts toward worthy, achievable goals—he needs somewhere to channel his zeal. Betrayal and abandonment of ideals are not for him. Teach your child to direct his enthusiasm toward peaceful and constructive problem-solving.

Before Uranus was discovered, the planet traditionally associated with Aquarius was Saturn. You’ll certainly remember that Saturn governs Capricorn. This planet is characterized by traits such as responsibility, discipline, and perseverance. Aquarius children also possess similar qualities. From my observations, older Aquarians tend to display traits associated with Saturn, while younger ones show unconventionality, curiosity, and a forward-looking mindset. Aquarius in general is gifted with highly developed intuition and psychic strength, so they can see and understand what’s hidden from others. The problem for those born under this sign is that, while deeply focused on global issues, they may neglect their loved ones. Teach your child that compassion for others begins within himself.

Before tackling global problems, one must first set things right in their immediate surroundings. Let the little one understand that it is the warmth of their soul and the generosity of their heart that their loved ones need most!

In the human body, Aquarius influences the circulatory system and the bones. The feet are part of the musculoskeletal system, so it is important to strengthen them and develop their strength. Encourage the child to move and engage in physical activity. Choose exercises for the legs (perhaps dancing!)—after all, any movement stimulates blood circulation.

Aquarians are more inclined toward mental activity than physical, so you should ensure daily physical exercise for your child. I am confident that now you will be able to spend time with such an interesting little fellow as your little Aquarius even better and more fruitfully.

And, finally, one last reminder: do not try to control or force the baby. Instead, strive to fill their day with as many new and exciting activities as possible. You will enjoy discovering life together with them. Remember: the Age of Aquarius is coming!
