Mercury’s biquintile: When you cast your lines, puppets usually bite. This aspect on the lower and middle levels gives a person, in the areas of the Planet, the appearance of rational understanding of lower forms of life and a mental interest in them. However, their thoughts in this direction will be marked by a certain liveliness, and with a harmonious Mercury, they may prove useful—at the very least, the charm of their speech will not be wasted, and skill in organizing the functioning of lower life for personal benefit may be extraordinary: this is the aspect of the colonizer. An afflicted biquintile of Mercury-Pluto may produce a ruthless slave trader, though this is rather an exception; at the middle level, the person still attempts, however condescendingly, to be humane toward natives, to develop (to the extent accessible) their rational thinking and appeal to it. If Mercury is afflicted, this will initially go poorly, and someone with such a biquintile may seriously attempt to appeal to the logic and reason of a one-year-old child; if the Planet is afflicted, the person’s rational reasoning, despite being entirely correct, will be ineffective, and they will have to rely on their intuition and innate humanity, which may suggest a logically non-obvious yet precise course of action in the most complicated situations. Jupiter’s biquintile: It is easier to blame an age devoid of spirituality than to discover it. This is the aspect of the philanthropist and patron of lower forms of life in the Planet’s spheres. At the lower level, it manifests primarily in words and promises, as well as in a shared royal arrogance; at the higher level, the person penetrates a broad spectrum of problems concerning lower life, comprehends them at a high level of abstraction, and may find entirely unexpected solutions. Jupiter enables the person to open new developmental paths and methods for resolving seemingly irreconcilable contradictions for lower forms of life, but for this, the individual must move beyond the viewpoint typical of the unrefined aspect—seeing them as primitive and unworthy of serious attention. As the person works on and expands their understanding of lower forms of life, first, they discover in themselves subconscious programs similar to these lower forms and learn to manage them more adequately or transform them into evolutionarily higher ones; second, they gain the opportunity to express the human qualities inherent within them, such as selfless assistance to younger brothers in evolution.
