Sun in Aries

# Sun in Aries

Het Monster: Sun in Aries — Attack! This is me, your fiery Ram! The world, beware — I’m charging at you like a battering ram! I conquer in battles, I achieve my goals, I am the best — and it’s no lie!

Like the swift little ram in the picture, your Aries child loves to charge ahead and attack. This child “shines” when they are first and brave, and sometimes it makes your hair stand on end because they take such risks. The Aries child is a born leader who enjoys taking charge. They will be bold and impulsive, radiating confidence. Your little “fireball” has so much energy that few adults can match it, even if the adult is an Aries themselves. The little Ram is almost always in motion; their attention rarely lingers on anything for long. This should be considered when choosing a preschool or school where open classrooms and an independent approach are preferable to traditional desk-bound learning.

It is much easier for your Aries child to start something than to see it through to the end. Nagging won’t help. It will work better if you can suggest a new angle on the task, thereby reviving their interest. Patience is not among the Aries virtues. Impatience can be a problem when your child works with others. They start quickly and dislike waiting for slower people to finish. For this reason, independent work should be encouraged unless others are willing to follow the Aries child’s lead.

Young Miss Initiative will also be impatient if she has to wait for you — keep this in mind when deciding whether to take her along on a dull adult errand or shopping trip.

You may worry that your child is more selfish than the “normal” stages of childhood development described in Chapter 3. In reality, this is not the case. The little Ram simply feels naturally like “number one.” You need to tactfully show how good it is to be considerate of others. Keep in mind that although the Aries child may flare up easily, their “flare-up” of anger rarely lasts long. It passes and is forgotten. However, your child should learn that others are not as quick to express their feelings and may be hurt far more than they intended.

Try to teach them techniques and language for expressing anger in a way that does not cause pain to others (directing anger at an inanimate object or addressing the situation rather than the person, for example: “I really hate it when I can’t…” instead of “I hate you for…”). And, most importantly, set a good example — this is always beneficial for an Aries and for any personality type. Children learn more from what their parents do than from what they say.

Consider providing your Aries child with opportunities for active sports and competitive games, and create a space where they can be noisy and energetic. Learning to play the trumpet or percussion may appeal to them more than piano or cello. Freedom and independence are very important to them. Allow your little Ram to make mistakes (unless the pit they’re about to jump into seems dangerously deep). From such mistakes, they will gain deeper knowledge than from any warning words.

Embrace the energetic charge of this fiery little character, and you will stay young too, because the child within you will be thrilled and excited by the new adventures that follow one after another!

Indubala. Planets in Signs. (Indian Tradition)

The Sun is in its full strength, or in other words, in exaltation, when in Aries. Either in the mind or in the actions of this person, qualities symbolized by the Sun will manifest. The Sun represents the depth and sincerity of the soul, attendance at solemn ceremonies and sacrifices — such as temple services. The Sun symbolizes the king, since it is the source of light for the world. A person with the Sun in Aries may have developed spiritual intuition; or they may see broad opportunities for improving the lives of others. The Sun also symbolizes political circles. The person may earn money in government service, may feel like a leader, may feel born for greatness.

The Sun also symbolizes the physical body. Such people are enterprising in activities aimed at satisfying their desires; they are extremely active or impose their will on others; they need their goal to include some material achievement.

Aries is a “fiery” sign, ruled by Mars, the planet of rivalry, and so a person with the Sun in Aries is described as “one who bears arms.” This emphasizes that such a person will be ambitious and seek glory. These people can speak forcefully and energetically; they have high self-esteem. Aries is a movable sign, and so such people tend to an active, wandering lifestyle. They are also inclined toward philanthropic, humanistic tendencies. A person with the Sun in Aries is active, clever, travels, well-known, wealthy, possesses fighting qualities, is strong, marked by strongly expressed character traits, impulsive, irritable, possesses pioneering qualities, and their fortune is changeable. They may be more idealistic than materialistic in outlook. Their character is expressive, firm, and they are very brave. Overestimating their strength sometimes leads them into trouble. They may suffer from overstrain.

Pavlo Globa. Planets in the Signs of the Zodiac

The Sun enters the sign of Aries on March 21 — this is the astrological New Year. The Zoroastrians celebrated the New Year on March 21. It was a great holiday, nature came to life, and the Sun entered the sign on March 21 and remained there until April 21. A small digression: in the zodiac, we see the manifestation of the four elements — Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. The elements are subtle substances. The element of Fire is not the fire that burns from a match. The element of Air is not the surrounding air, nor are the elements of Earth and Water their physical counterparts. Yet all elements exist in their earthly counterparts as subtle substances, as cosmic vibrations, as a subtle state. To some extent, these are abstract concepts, but on the other hand, they are quite real — a subtle structure that acts around us. All the work of occultists, all spiritual practices are indeed connected with the subtle elements. For example, people who are passionate about Eastern martial arts primarily work with the element of Fire; they connect to this element and gain inner fearlessness and inhuman courage. The ability to consciously connect to these elements and work with them is a magical ability.

Two of these elements have a “yang” nature, and two have an “yin” nature. Fire and Air are “yang.” Fire is the primary manifestation of the “yang” principle, while Air is a secondary, subtler qualitative manifestation of this principle. Earth and Water are “yin.” Earth is the primary manifestation of the feminine principle, and Water is secondary.

We will discuss this in more detail later. The element of Fire manifests in a person as a certain fiery nature, a quick temper. When you see a person who cannot sit still — that is a person of Fire, in whom Fire rages, who always radiates energetic charm. These are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. The inner charm of Fire, inner expression, and energy that radiates outward evoke sympathy; people are drawn to them. Men with a lot of Fire are particularly appealing to women. It is no coincidence that the greatest heartthrobs are often Leos and Arians.

The element of Earth manifests in a person as solidity and stability. If you see a dignified person standing firmly on their feet, that is a person of Earth. You feel as though you are behind a stone wall. This is how the element of Earth manifests in appearance and character. The element of Air manifests as mental agility and intellectual mobility. If you see a person who is constantly communicating with others, traveling somewhere, and negotiating — that is Air. This is the type of journalist who cannot live without information; information is their bread, they cannot live without contacts or expressing themselves in words. The element of Air represents the principle of contact, communication, and verbal expression.

The element of Water embodies a person’s emotionality, deep emotions. This is what happens in the depths of our subconscious. It is a transformative principle: emotions enter us, do their destructive or creative work, and then we emerge into the world transformed. Almost all of our emotional life is a manifestation of the element of Water. However, all these elements manifest differently in the various signs of the Zodiac.

Aries is the primary level of the element of Fire — the very first Fire, cosmic, impulsive, flaring up when individual sparks scatter in different directions. This is the primary fire that largely shapes the image and archetype of Aries. Another crucial factor shaping Aries is the vibrations of the planet Mars. Typical Arians are people of a Martian type. According to these foundational principles — Mars and the primary cosmic Fire that constantly flares up — we observe the life manifestations of representatives of this sign, in Arians.

Arians are distinguished by extraordinary activity. They are probably the most active people of all the Zodiac signs. If you are an Arian, activity, dynamism, and energy are written all over your face. You start your endeavors with enthusiasm, continue them, and, unfortunately, often abandon them before completion because many tasks require patience and perseverance, qualities that Arians often lack. Instead, Arians are great initiators and pioneers. Finishing things to the end is good, but for an Arian, the most important thing is to begin, to ignite themselves and inspire others. This is your highest cosmic task, the purpose for which you are born under this Zodiac sign.

Arians, like all four of the first Zodiac signs, have a great deal of childlike qualities in their archetype and structure. If you observe typical Arians, you will notice that they are very straightforward, almost childlike. They literally exclaim when they see a new endeavor or acquaintance, begin to radiate joyful energy, and infect others with it. Although they are good initiators, they make poor leaders, especially if the Arian is of a low or average level. At a high spiritual and intellectual level, they can be leaders, guiding and inspiring large masses of people with their energy and enthusiasm, even exerting a magical influence over those they lead. Generally, Arians tend to rely on strength in their actions, sometimes physical, sometimes energetic. Occasionally, they may lead public movements or head revolutionary groups. Some Arians become politicians, but these are usually high-level Arians; those of low or average level often suppress their impulsiveness with many subtle traits of character.

Among high-level Arians, there have been many politicians, military leaders, public figures, and emperors. We see many ancient leaders among them: Publius Valens, Septimius Severus, Galerius — figures of ancient Rome. In their lower manifestation, Arians are often the most unmanageable people, prone to boorishness; such people are called “tough guys.” They act on the first impulse without understanding the situation and rush into a fight. This is the lowest, most primitive manifestation of Aries. If you encounter a rowdy person on the tram — the so-called “tram hooligan” who waves their arms, spits insults, and offends everyone — that is undoubtedly a low-level Arian.

In terms of geographical astrology, Germany, especially Prussia, is associated with Aries. Interestingly, many German leaders have been Arians: Barbarossa, Bismarck, Wilhelm I, A. Hitler, and H. Kohl. High-level Arians can make decent diplomats, but this requires significant refinement. The fact is that Arians are very passionate by nature, and it is difficult for them to control themselves. High-level Arians can achieve incredible heights in spiritual evolution. A significant Arian was Napoleon III, though he ended his life rather sadly; toward the end, the lower Arian manifested in his personality. Pyotr Stolypin was also an Arian, who was previously undeservedly criticized but is now being reevaluated. His achievements in Russian history still need to be properly assessed. A vivid Arian was Nikita Khrushchev. Who else but such a genuine Arian could have dared to pound their shoe on the UN podium? Who else could express themselves so sincerely? Among musicians, Modest Mussorgsky was an Arian, and among artists, Vincent van Gogh. His entire work is imbued with energy and flame; he was a very active person, constantly traveling. Only such an Arian could, in a fit of passion, cut off his own ear. Of course, this is a pathological Arian. Sigmund Freud placed great importance on pathology in developing his system, as pathology reveals the deep structures of a person’s psyche and subconscious.

Arians included Johann Sebastian Bach, Stepan Razin. Among literary characters, the typical Arian is Nozdryov. A gloomy and sinister French Arian was the poet Charles Baudelaire, a contradictory nature gifted by God with poetic talent but also by the Devil with a spirit and soul that led him to serve Darkness and Satanism; in his poems, he sang the praises of Satan.

Het Monster. Planets in the Signs of the Zodiac

March 21 – April 20. ARIES The main thing in his life is dynamism: he needs a motorcycle, a car, a boat—anything to outpace others. If he is an intellectual, it is a race of ideas and enterprises. He is either full of enthusiasm for an idea or utterly indifferent—there is no middle ground. If he wants something, arguing with him is futile; it will only enrage him. He is not afraid of conflict and will help a neighbor in a difficult moment, even capable of heroism, but he wants praise and reward for it. Aries loves grand, large-scale undertakings, acts independently and persistently. He tries to be first in everything and cannot stand being in the background. He usually does not make mistakes. He takes the initiative, playing the role of a “dictator,” sparing neither himself nor others. He organizes them, showing how things should be done. Success comes in sports, technology, and a military career—especially with a strong Mars. Money interests him less than the process of discovery. But he loves to spend money, ready to “squander” it. He ventures into financial adventures; after a collapse, he finds the means to start anew. However, his antics do not last long: he dislikes monotony and often changes the type of activity. He enjoys the thrill of danger and risk. Aries can endure fatigue for a long time, but he spends his energy wastefully—and when it is all gone, he simply collapses. The same goes for illness: he will endure it on his feet until the sharpest attack knocks him down. If he suppresses it, it will burst out in the form of sudden temperature spikes, allergies, or hives. For detoxification, sauna, baths, and sports are recommended. Prolonged sun exposure is contraindicated. Homeopathic iron and rosemary are also beneficial.

——————————————————————————–

For the entire creative zone, a primary, still rough sensation of the element prevails; here the elements, so to speak, have not yet become aware of themselves. The Aries person. A typical Aries lives, actualizing themselves in an energetic flow from which they do not detach themselves. This is a vivid passionate individual, driven by (energetic) ideas, who does not listen to objections but infects others with their conviction. The idea they promote usually lacks detail but is holistic and practical, easily taking the form of a slogan that others follow, succumbing to the charm of the energetic flow. Aries possesses the magic of charm in the style of direct hypnosis; without closely examining the surrounding world or distinguishing its details, they are nonetheless excellent at separating those who have succumbed to their charm from those who have not. The latter they consider their enemies, but when fighting them, they are not inclined to pay attention to their actions, relying solely on the strength of their own flow (their idea) and refining their means of attack rather than defense.

An ordinary Aries is a slave to their flow: if the flow weakens, the Aries becomes sluggish, passive, and falls into deep depression. Their former ideas, which once inspired and excited them greatly, now seem flat and gloomy; the world, once colorful, turns black and white, scents and aromas disappear entirely. Fortunately for Aries, the flow rarely disappears for long, and when it returns, the Aries shines again—either with the old light or perhaps with a new one: if the channel has changed, for example, if the idea has been replaced, the Aries will not regret the past. Their principle is “out of sight, out of mind,” and they will preach a new idea, combining it with the past, which is completely forgotten—typical traits of Aries.

In a state of depression, Aries completely gives up and does not believe in the possibility of improvement. Their mind may tell them that the flow (strength, energy, self-confidence) will return, as it has before, but their feelings say: if it rains today, it will always rain, and by winter, it will turn to hail. In this state, they instinctively seek a way to re-engage with the flow and may agree to much, including rather dubious options; it is precisely in this state that they need care and protection, otherwise they may easily fall under the influence of, for example, Cancer or Capricorn, who, seizing the Aries “bare-handed” during a moment of depression, will retain magical power over them and continue to use the Aries’ strong energy for their own, possibly self-serving purposes.

Psychologically, Aries is simple-minded: “what they understand, they say.” The ability of Cancer to remain silent or Capricorn to calmly maneuver in a fiery situation, as well as their skill in manipulating people, are completely incomprehensible to Aries. Elements and situations different from fiery ones do not resonate with Aries; they irritate, seem boring and stale, are not perceived, and Aries sincerely tries to enliven them in their own way—by infusing their energy—but often ends up leaving nothing behind. Aries is not inclined to manipulate people; they seek power over them through their ideas and energy, and the moment they see they have gained control, they lose interest and move on. In this sense, they are noble and selfless. This trait is not solely due to the known primitiveness of their emotional life, which is subordinate to the flow. However, as they master the flow and differentiate and become aware of their emotional life, the nobility and straightforwardness of Aries undergo a significant test. It turns out that the flow can be harnessed for oneself, and one can find interest in oneself! Fortunately, this temptation is usually overcome by Aries after some time.

The influence of Mars as the ruler of Aries is reflected in the ease with which Aries accesses Martian energy, which serves as their natural weapon—when needed and where needed. Aries constantly, with a persistence worthy of a better cause, charges headfirst into various walls: straw, glass, wooden, brick, granite, and if the wall shatters, they feel a momentary satisfaction before moving on to the next; regret flashes by only briefly (but sincerely), and then—onward to a new wall. Their horns grow back—up to a certain point.

The influence of Venus in detriment on Aries manifests in the fact that, in general (and often unconsciously), they are driven by elevated ideals, including beauty, love, and harmony. However, this becomes noticeable to others only in a developed Aries; their overall roughness shatters the delicate ennobling Venusian influence as soon as it becomes more tangible than the ephemeral ideal of the Virgin Mary for a medieval knight.

The culmination of the Sun in a developed Aries does not change their appearance. They cease to be a slave to their flow, begin to perceive it as a cosmic force, study its nature, and can control their will; the periods of depression associated with improper management (control) of the energetic flow fade away or become controlled. The transition of the ruler’s role from Mars to the Sun, which occurs as Aries develops, is accompanied by an increase in observance and a shift from the Martian principle of direct energetic action to the higher solar principle of impartial attention. The higher principle of will (the solar principle) lies in the absence of any influence other than pure attention: “He who knows how to walk leaves no traces” (Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu). Proper will and initiative are reduced in this context to the choice of time and place to which attention is directed.

At the same time, the influence of the Sun’s culmination on an undeveloped Aries is expressed in the fact that, at times, they achieve extraordinary concentration of their energetic flow through their will, which, due to insufficient thoughtfulness (typical of the average Aries), leads to the burning out of the object of their energy application—either completely or partially, as in the case of a debilitated conjunction of the Sun and Mars.

The fall of Saturn is expressed in the average Aries as a complete lack of desire to submit to any conscious discipline or self-restraint, as well as a lack of—not to mention wisdom—but even minimal self-control during moments of heightened energetic flow; in such moments, the principle “the flow thinks for me” takes over. However, during periods of depression, Saturn’s influence is strongly felt, and this, along with the negative aspects described above, gives Aries an opportunity to reflect on themselves and their place among various energetic flows (which Aries perceives as wild horses) and to make some progress on the path of spiritual growth.

In general, it should be noted that Saturn is a quiet planet and prefers to act at low energy levels, and wisdom is a subtle thing that is inaudible amid the strong and rough energy of Aries. Conversely, during periods of depression, Aries hears Saturn perhaps even better than Capricorn does; the question is how they will respond to what they hear. And when the flow returns, the average Aries usually has no time for spirituality: they see and hear nothing—they are charging ahead, so do not interfere! And Saturn has already switched off—until the next depression. Therefore, a highly developed Aries, despite having the ability to avoid depressions, still allows them to occur from time to time—to better hear Saturn’s voice.

The situation of Aries. A typical (Martian) situation for Aries at a lower octave is a battlefield from the perspective of soldiers who fight with abandon (from the generals’ perspective, this could easily be a situation for Leo and Libra). A strong Aries presence gives a warrior literally superhuman strength and courage; for example, during national liberation wars, the ideal of the Motherland becomes a fully tangible (real) flow. Another typical (Saturnian) variant of the Aries situation at a lower octave is the battlefield after the battle has ended. Here, at low energy levels, the aftermath of the destructive use of Aries’ energy plays out. Perhaps someone will have time to draw conclusions before the morning trumpet—the next activation of the flow…

The Aries situation of the higher octave involves the triumphal march of any energetic idea—say, a revolutionary restructuring of industry from windmills to internal combustion engines or back, or the creation of a commune of volunteers. In any case, the characteristic traits are the same: purity and nobility of intentions, ignoring criticism, lack of historical roots, a subsequent decline in enthusiasm—perhaps after a relatively successful start—and finally, a Saturnian situation under the motto “what we fought for, that we reaped.” In general, typical Arians and Aries-like situations lack a sense of humor—or rather, it is appalling; yet those around them laugh a great deal at their expense.

It should be remembered that what is written above does not apply to all spheres of human life, but primarily to those houses that Aries rules (and, to a lesser extent, aspects). The Sun in Aries poses the problem of volitional control over the energy flow. Here, the general karmic task of Aries is complicated by the direct intervention of cosmic forces, whose influence on a person through the Sun can be compared to the action of a screwdriver turning a screw. As long as a person does not recognize themselves as part of a universal cosmic program, their individual will (including conscious will) remains practically under complete control (egregore), which weakens only in the case of conscious and voluntary cooperation. Therefore, any sign in which the Sun is placed experiences a great burden from the cosmic forces transmitted through individual will, which, it should be noted, is directed not only by an internal volitional impulse (“I intend”) but also by purely external circumstances. In such a case, the question is resolved in a “this or that” manner. Either it enslaves their will—then the rhythm of fate is entirely determined by the chart, with minimal emphasis on the Sun. The harmonious option is pure passive service; the disharmonious one is a tragic fate, a plaything in the hands of alien forces. Alternatively, a person succeeds in comprehending and mastering their volitional impulses, and then Aries begins to serve them faithfully and truly (see the description of the Solar Aries above). Meanwhile, an ordinary Aries with a debilitated Sun will trample you underfoot in a minute of enthusiasm, even if they are sincerely striving upward—they simply did not notice you.

Francis Sakoyan. The Planets in the Signs of the Zodiac

signifies the beginning of action, a new cycle in personal development. The motto: initiative, activity. They do not fear obstacles, act almost blindly, without covering their flanks, moving forward, putting their chest in the line of fire. A surge that sweeps everything in its path. A great future is ensured. They do not think about losses, sometimes not even in old age. They always prefer straight paths; they lack the patience for detours. Therefore, the highest peaks in life are rarely reached because the straight paths turn out to be too steep. They expend energy without regret, as if it were in excess, quickly recharging again, so they always achieve something in life or at least stand out from the crowd at some point.

Reckless boldness, a concentrated strike, suppression of emotions and doubts, unshakable self-confidence, fearlessness. The favorite word of Aries is “I.” Everything depends on the level of Aries’ inner development. Some may strike below the belt to get their way. But most Arians are set on a knightly path, especially after victory. However, until the obstacle is broken, they know no mercy, sparing neither themselves nor others.

Aries never looks around; they see only what lies within their field of vision. You cannot convince them; they simply will not listen to you. There are also timid ones, but they never lose sight of their goal and always ultimately achieve it.

Aries attracts attention with the speed of their actions and quick wit. They do not deal with the lower ranks; if there are obstacles, they can immediately turn to a higher authority to remove them. They know how to elbow their way forward for personal advancement, but in the process, they do not notice the enemies they have created, considering themselves strong.

They choose professions that require patience, endurance, subordination, deliberation, and sitting indoors—ones that do not demand much. At work, they burn with passion, sparing no effort, but their boss should remember that Aries may take their place.

For Aries, love is a burning passion; they themselves choose a partner and conquer them. The beginning of love, the first push, is intoxicating—like spring with summer heat. But if the relationship lasts, Aries may become a despot. Love will endure if the partner can maintain interest without allowing themselves to be fully conquered.

Arians (both men and women) maintain relationships with their acquaintances and friends even in marriage, without closing themselves off in a narrow family circle. Their children will not be weaklings, but they will not be as strong as their parents.

The flaws of Aries are an extension of their strengths. Arians are intolerant, stubborn, overestimate themselves, lack patience, are prone to quarrels, and cannot concede. They should learn to apologize, be more tolerant of others, but they are incapable of listening to outside advice, which leads to difficult situations. They have many envious people who act covertly. Wounds accumulate over time, but Arians do not see their defeats, and therefore misfortune always comes to them unexpectedly. The world crumbles around them, and this is often tied to serious illnesses. The only way out is to learn patience, kindness, and the ability to analyze their actions.

You are a person who willingly faces difficulties. Often, you believe that life must be taken by force, that nothing depends on anyone else, relying only on your own strength, intellect, and courage. You believe in absolute honesty, remain faithful to yourself, your views, and convictions, even if it leaves you alone. Honesty, principles, and the desire to be yourself—these are the gods you worship. Therefore, you do not sympathize with the weakness of others.

You value freedom the most—the opportunity to do everything your own way. You work very well independently; collaboration with others or performing any tasks is not your style of life. You either lead or do something on your own. You love action, and as soon as your life seems pleasant, comfortable, cozy, or routine, you are ready to stir everything up, start something new, change everything, and “refresh your blood.” Routine and monotony are death to you. You are not afraid to take on what no one has done before. And although sometimes people look at you like you are crazy, you still do what your rivals will later try to surpass.

To risk and remain true to your star—that is your very life, your breath, your pulse. And if that is impossible, you disappear or, not knowing what to do, fly into a rage.

Acting instantly, you are impulsive, straightforward, direct, full of enthusiasm, and unafraid to say directly and unambiguously what you think. You believe in the power of positive thinking and positive action, seeing yourself as a strong, even invincible personality. You do not like to be sick, and you do not like situations where you have to depend on others. The mere thought of needing to acknowledge the limitations of your human nature, that the emotional side of your being requires attention, often seems unbearable to you.

In terms of mindset, you are mostly masculine, less capable of the feminine art of communication, picking up on subtle hints and nuances, or achieving harmony in relationships. Often, you are so absorbed in your own plans and goals that, without noticing, you clash with the feelings and interests of others. If you learn to treat them with greater attention, value their ideas and feelings more, you will make life much easier for both yourself and others.

Your impatience in pursuing goals leads to unnecessary alienation. It is unfortunate that sometimes you try to achieve your goal by raising your voice or pounding your fist on the table. Learn not to rush, to relax. Let events unfold on their own. Unfortunately, your energetic, restless nature rarely allows this to happen.
