Sun’s semisquare: Fate places a person under strict conditions only from a state of complete helplessness. This aspect imparts rigid forms of possible volitional expressions in the areas ruled by the Planet, and certain (fated) types of imperative situations to which the person will have to adapt, even though this will be unpleasant for them. For example, the Sun-Venus semisquare may bring a high degree of preprogramming (that is, a limited number of possible storylines) in social and romantic relationships, where the plot suddenly begins to exceed expected boundaries, and the person, by their own will, forcefully tries to fit it back within those limits, often distorting and maiming their own and others’ feelings and destinies, without understanding, without understanding, without understanding. At a low level of integration, the Sun’s semisquare is a very difficult aspect—this represents, in the Planet’s spheres, a form of servitude that the person pretends to be free of; at least, such will be their initiatives and reactions to external imperative circumstances. Here, imagination is lacking. However, on the other hand, in some cases, this person can be relied upon more than anyone else, and with harmonious major aspects between the Sun and the Planet, they may become the ideal executor of clear and precise instructions and orders given to them. There is a characteristic subconscious feeling of constrained will and limited initiative, which gradually weakens (but never completely disappears) when the person begins to engage with issues in the Planet’s sphere that are not personally related to them; yet initially this will manifest awkwardly, with possible traumas both in the external world and psychological ones, along with a complex of one’s own inappropriateness, awkwardness, and inadequacy. Venus’s semisquare: Flowers of evil, upon close inspection, usually turn out to be artificial. This aspect brings hidden rigidity and schematic behavior in social relationships within the Planet’s domains. Outwardly, the person may appear entirely adequate in social interactions, but the excess of internal formalism and the internally predefined nature of socially acceptable situations will be sensed by close people, while the person themselves remains far less aware of it. This manifests especially clearly in love, where the individual will encounter one (rarely two) and the same storyline—a kind of matrix into which fate and the person themselves will keep imprinting life: their own and their partners’, until this plot becomes utterly unbearable, since it ultimately fails to provide satisfying emotional experiences, even though it often proceeds with apparent confidence. Yet attempts to forcibly disrupt the natural course of events either fail or lead to catastrophe. The path of integration lies in shifting away from resolving personal issues, especially emotional and social dissatisfaction, and redirecting attention toward the problems of others. In doing so, the person will discover that what seems obvious and dull to them often turns out to be interesting, useful, and necessary for someone else—if they do not insist too strongly upon it. Social clarity is a very valuable quality, provided the person manages to make it an indirect rather than primary content of communication, and places it in service of higher goals, and above all, in service to other people.
