Sun in Libra
Sun in Libra Symbol — my dove of peace, Harmony — everything to me. Make life beautiful — I fear discord like fire. Only balance must be maintained in the scales, it must be preserved everywhere. The little white dove carries the scales and tells you that the most important thing is peace and harmony. Your child hates disorder, conflicts, and any kind of arguments and will do everything to avoid them, sometimes resorting to compromise and yielding rather than defending their rights or point of view. However, this should not be seen as weakness. It is merely tact. But if the strong sense of justice of Libra is offended, you will see how energetic and combative this sign can be! People of the Libra type were known as diplomats — but also as excellent generals! However, a Libra child — or teenager — is unlikely to openly argue with you on any issue important to them. This child will politely listen and may even do what you want, as long as it does not seriously violate their personal preferences. But little Libras have their own individual thoughts and form their own opinions, so do not be too surprised if this sweet child, whom you thought agreed with you, eventually chooses a different path of thought and action. The concept of justice is very important. Like the scales of the symbol, your child believes in equality and adherence to the rules of the game or the laws of the country. If Libra is a participant or witness to a conflict, they will try to play the role of a mediator, which suits them well due to their innate ability to see both sides of an issue and seek a point of balance. But do not expect them to take your side if “your side” is not scrupulously fair. The search for balance can manifest as a particular indecisiveness when choosing between two options, each with its advantages. Your Libra child wants “to have their cake and eat it too.” This child may hesitate between two decisions until your patience wears thin. If the child is very young, it is better to avoid this by not forcing unnecessary choices. Simply quietly observe whether the child is happy with a specific choice, and if so, there is no need to confuse them with two different options. A school-age child is more likely to catch the right bus if you insist that they choose and pack their clothes and everything they need for the next school day. They may ask for your opinion when choosing between two options — pick one for them. (They may then choose the other, but that is fine. At least you will reduce the painful hesitation before making a decision.) Speaking of school supplies: appearance is very important to Libras. This refined child pays great attention to aesthetics. They will like to look good and be surrounded by beautiful things. For this reason, they will not easily save their pocket money if they have set their sights on something pretty. Their taste for the beautiful also means that Libras will enjoy artistic pursuits. You should encourage this child in any kind of art or music, as it is highly likely that they will become passionate about one or more of them and achieve noticeable skill, along with a refined appreciation. Friends will always be important to Libras. Typically, such a child does not prefer solitude. Most likely, they have a higher-than-average need to be with others, to be part of a crowd, but also to have one or two special friends with whom they can share almost everything. Libra is the sign of partnership, and such a person is unlikely to be able to do without a companion for long. You will probably especially enjoy taking this child with you during their childhood years or being invited to keep them company in the future. They will be warm-hearted, well-mannered, charming, attractive, and likely to be loved by people of all ages.

Libra is an “air” sign, depicted as balanced scales; it is ruled by the sensual Venus. As an “air” sign, it gives these people an interest in philosophy, as well as an ability to balance the spiritual and material in their lives. They are gifted with skills in buying and selling; this sign is also associated with impartiality in human relationships. Often, they are drawn to projects that benefit many people rather than just themselves. Ruled by Venus, which points to wives and women, they are usually married or work as assistants or partners. On their own or pursuing their own interests, they usually achieve less success. The Sun is weakened in Libra, and so these people may suffer from weak eyesight, heart disease, frequent headaches, and weak digestion. They are prone to overindulgence in toxic substances, are somewhat arrogant, proud, and inclined toward dissipation. They seek peaceful, harmonious situations. They have good taste, are kind, not inclined to violence, compassionate toward others, and drawn to refined people or those of high social standing. Impartial and with a strong sense of justice, others sometimes find it hard to understand the motives behind their behavior. They can excellently compare one thing to another and are sincere in their assessments. They are usually opposed to authority; they are interested in political events happening in the world. They should be cautious in the company of low-level people and when dealing with harmful products. They enjoy travel and may be engaged in business related to jewelry and other things that appeal to the senses. They need to develop inner strength and resilience.

Libra is the third sign of the stable zone, an Air sign in its stabilized expression. The primary rulers of Libra are Chiron and Venus. Libra represents the second level of the Air element, which here becomes more stable. For you, there is usually a desire for stability, comfort, and balance. You are naturally drawn to beauty in all its forms. Libra is the most aesthetic sign of the entire Zodiac; you cannot tolerate conflicts, quarrels, or clashes and always strive to eliminate them. Your motto is the call, “Guys, let’s live in harmony!” You typically succeed in endeavors where good taste, artistry, refined imagination, and developed aesthetic sense are required, which is why many famous artists, poets, and writers are born under Libra. Notable Libras include Watteau, Bouguereau, Rimbaud, Saint-Saëns, and Ivan Bunin. You always strive to choose a certain circle, an elite. When faced with conflicting opinions and unable to balance them, you side with the smarter person, or in the worst case, with the winner. Therefore, in life, you can easily betray those you communicate with. It has been noted that a high percentage of traitors are Libras. Among Libras, there are also many courtesans and women of loose morals. However, astrologers note that recently, these ranks have been replenished mainly by women born under Cancer. There are few military figures among Libras, but some examples include Admiral Nelson and General Eisenhower. You have a deep understanding of laws, feel them intuitively, and strive to adhere to them. Many Libras work in the legal field as prosecutors and lawyers (notable figures include Fyodor Plevako). The highest level of Libras manifests as talented diplomats, with diplomatic skills in Libra stemming from Chiron. For you, the embodiment of stability is harmony, so you seek harmony in everything. England is the country of Libra, which is why this sign is so closely and intimately tied to the English nation. Many Libras are politicians who can sit on two chairs at once, or in the worst case, pit two sides against each other to gain some benefit from the conflict. “The Iron Lady,” Margaret Thatcher, Harold Wilson, and Richard III were also Libras. Once again, we emphasize that the lower level of Libras manifests as traitors. The spectrum of Libra’s expression is very broad; Libras also include Yesenin, Lermontov, and Paul I. A significant challenge for you is cultivating your creative essence. This involves the subtle use of your inner energy and the ability not to be cold. The fact is that Libra can be the coldest sign of the Zodiac, as it is the only sign represented by a symbol drawn from inanimate nature—the cold, metallic Scales. Your karmic task is to be a refined, “pharmaceutical” Libra. Under no circumstances should you allow the “beam of the scales to rust,” as then you will be unable to balance any situation. You must engage with it very subtly. Only by analyzing its essence can you step into the situation and help people achieve harmony.

September 24 – October 23. LIBRA
A Libra person is refined, delicate, and elegant. The slightest unpleasantness or quarrel throws them off balance. They spend their entire life preserving and restoring this balance. They want to love and be loved; they feel good only in an atmosphere of affection. In an atmosphere of indifference, they grow melancholic and may even fall ill. They tend to yield to others’ opinions and are the first to make peace in an argument. They purchase rare, exquisite trinkets and give them to their loved ones or even strangers. They avoid complex problems. The struggle for a place in the sun, violence, and aggression are alien to them, especially if Mars or Uranus are not prominently expressed in their horoscope. They dislike resolving material issues and prefer to live without undue effort. Fortunately, their taste and decorating abilities usually earn them the love of those around them, who often help them, including financially. If the horoscope is generally favorable, they can achieve significant success in the arts—design, fashion. They need a practical partner to handle the material aspects of their life. In love, they are usually happy. If left alone, they feel abandoned and deeply unhappy, especially if Saturn is in a difficult aspect to the Moon or Venus. However, Libras are rarely alone for long. Overall, Libras are delicate, neat, and sensitive individuals. The slightest offense or rudeness can make them ill. Libras are advised to drink more fluids during rest periods and to have “apple days” (kidney drainage). Among the elements, sulfur and phosphorus are beneficial. Basil is recommended among herbs. They often have yellow or “impure” skin (a decoction of mallow and coltsfoot helps). Toning baths with thyme, rosemary, and basil are beneficial. Walks, gardening, and dancing are also helpful. Libras need an atmosphere of warmth and affection, as well as sexual balance with a satisfying partner.

When transitioning from the zone of creation to the zone of its formation, the emphasis shifts from the function of connection, characteristic of Gemini, to the function of structure, which is constantly the focus of Libra. Structure is a set of connections between elements through which a chaotic collection becomes a qualitatively new object—a unified whole. Therefore, for Libra (unlike Gemini), the nature of the elements is by no means indifferent, since elements of different origins must be connected into a single whole in different ways. Moreover, Libra also monitors the quantity and relationships of the various connections that form the structure.
Libra is an extremely difficult sign to understand and describe. They embody contradictions and, at the same time, inexplicably balance not only them but also the most dramatic external situations. On the one hand, Libra is a cardinal masculine sign—decisive and active—while on the other, it is governed by the feminine planet Venus. On the one hand, it belongs to the cold air element, yet on the other, it embodies the existential (rather than merely mental) principle of equilibrium, beauty, and harmony, which it does not comprehend at all. Libra is the only inanimate sign of the Zodiac (the rest are people and animals) and directly symbolizes the impersonal Absolute. The main principle of harmony and balance is revealed to a person gradually, as their evolutionary development and consciousness expand.
Libra symbolizes not static but dynamic equilibrium: a cyclist on a steep turn, an adiabatic expansion of steam, ecological processes during the extinction or emergence of new species. As formed air, Libra is granted not a mental perception of the world, as Gemini has, but a higher, equilibrium-structural-integral one. High Libra individuals see both the object and its constituent elements and the connections between them as parts of a necessary and balanced structure that separates the object from the world while simultaneously linking it to it. It is impossible to grasp harmony rationally, but Libra points to one of the ways to achieve it: through the search for inner equilibrium of the object, considered as a system with a complex structure of relationships between elements.
Human Libra. Representing air in the zone of formation, Libra are well aware of their element and will not waste time on trifles. Unlike Gemini, they will not introduce just anyone to anyone or pass on information without first determining their attitude toward it. Libra are characterized by a somewhat detached cold beauty and an aesthetic-equilibrium perspective, an approach to all matters—especially social ones—far more aristocratic than Gemini. A vivid example of Libra is the aesthete-intellectual from the upper echelons of society, an advocate of the concept of “art for art’s sake,” and the view that each social stratum consumes (and produces) its own culture, inaccessible and unnecessary to others. Naturally, remaining a cardinal air sign, Libra (if they wish and deem it necessary) can easily transition into a different social stratum and perfectly understand everything that happens there, but they themselves and those around them will always feel the alien nature of Libra.
Libra are extremely prone to intellectual and aesthetic snobbery (its deep foundation lies in their proximity to the Absolute, though Libra themselves may not formulate it this way), which serves as an effective means of protection against the feeling of superficiality. The fact is that Libra lack the direct (essential) sense of life that feminine signs possess (especially Earth signs); Libra rely on an exceptionally refined perception of the world, and if they do not demonstrate this refinement, they begin to feel flat, secondary, and unoriginal. Where the thick-skinned Taurus has long since understood what is essential for themselves, Libra must spend a long time adjusting, hesitating, observing, and evaluating from all sides until they sense a subtle harmony in the situation (which may be completely inaccessible to the average Taurus), and only then do they feel confident in their place. (Most often, this is the collective subconscious of their social stratum, expressed in the words of a sufficiently authoritative figure for this type of person), becoming secondary Libra, whose personal sense of beauty, justice, and harmony is replaced by societal norms. Sometimes, even a glass bell jar is desirable. These conditions primarily apply to the social stratum in which Libra reside: and Libra can break down. Beauty and harmony; however, this should be understood correctly. By refined Libra, they will see its true (at the level of participants) disharmony in its delicate balancing and harmonization. The point is that before influencing a situation, they need to immerse themselves in it and carefully assess and weigh everything.
This is incomparably more significant for them than for other zodiac signs, as it largely defines their ethics. Libra consider what seems beautiful to them as good and correct, and what appears ugly and repulsive as bad and immoral. Among the middle octave are the exquisitely beautiful and outwardly brilliant, polishedly courteous but inwardly cold and indifferent hostesses of fashionable salons, for whom a person is valuable only to the extent that they can serve as an adornment for their home (and this value they know very precisely, despite the fluctuations of fashion).
It is hard to refuse when a beautiful woman (or man) asks you. — Here, the equilibrium of Libra should be represented not as unstable apothecary scales but as a ball at the bottom of a deep depression: if you nudge it slightly to the side, it immediately returns to its place.
The Libra machine of justice, and even censorship, vigilantly monitors the balance between sorrow and joy in the lyrical verses of poets living in an era of societal prosperity.
With light influences executed with Venusian grace and ease; injustices that demand immediate expression; however, to restore justice and create harmony, one must first finely sense the situation (which always requires time and effort) and only then seek adequate and often quite delicate ways to influence it. Both of these tasks require work, and instead of restoring balance, they are brutally disrupted, and after some time, by the law of reflection, they receive a backlash, resulting in a situation even more disharmonious than the original.
Somewhat abstract. The culminating Saturn symbolizes the core of developed Libra, giving them stability and wisdom in solving the problem of achieving harmony in specific situations.
Very prone to the middle octave. Underdeveloped Libra can cause strong irritation by avoiding the resolution of a specific problem through examining it from an endless number of unrelated points of view, in no way connected to the essence of the matter.
Imprisonment; only in the higher octave of Libra is the full harmonious development of the principles of these planets achieved; (Often sincerely) presented as their own. Convictions and initiatives are unstable, personal will is weak, but easily aligns with the collective, and then it becomes difficult to sway or convince the person. Moreover, it is a futile endeavor, as the lower Libra still poorly develop their own personal opinions and will.
The necessity (and comparative ease) of carefully tuning into their karmic egregore (rather than the situation or social stratum, as in lower and middle Libra), which (as much as possible) will precisely indicate what and how needs to be done in a given situation and where the boundaries of free will lie—just as in Aries, processing the symbolic Sun means awareness of attention; the fall of the Sun makes this task easier for Libra than when the Sun culminates.
The Libra situation often has the key word “justice” or its pursuit. It clarifies the resolution of the picture by seeking balance in the arrangement of forms and colors.
The opportunity for evaluating a situation through quantitative indicators (say, the average weight gain of a pioneer in a camp over a month) is rare but distinct to the mind, thus superseding the previous type. It relates more to Mercury and Virgo. Karma, whose manifestations we see only in imperfect models, involves complex karmic tasks that can only be fulfilled through maximum detachment from personal will, symbolized by the Sun’s fall. This Sun position means that the will of the egregore governing the situation in which the person finds themselves is directly transmitted through them. It is “sacred.” As this is worked through, a remarkable sense of knowing the right actions emerges (as if something pushes from within), especially in the most difficult and tense situations, which works better the more attentive the person is to the situation and the less personally invested they are in it, consciously or subconsciously. In case of defeat, there is a tendency toward socially acceptable actions when attempting to balance complex situations.
Diplomatic, elegant, insightful. Their behavior is underscored by intellect and reason. Even when overwhelmed by emotions, they refrain from letting passions take over, striving to maintain balance. Despite their sensitivity, they carefully monitor the culture of their expressions and place great importance on the form of relationships. Communication with them is pleasant and harmonious; they love and cultivate the arts. Their sense of beauty is highly developed. They dress with taste and enjoy grand celebrations. Anything vulgar is repellent to them. Aesthetics hold immense significance, and uncultured excesses are rejected. Their strong sense of form often leads to a reluctance to delve into the essence, resulting in disappointment, superficiality, and a lingering vagueness or formlessness.
They maintain a slippery politeness, always keeping a distance between themselves and others. Despite their sociability, there is a risk of loneliness. Their nature is receptive, their interests diverse, and they are very sociable. They enjoy debating, yet their interactions are cool and detached, which paradoxically attracts others—behind this coolness, one senses restrained emotions. If emotions break through, their balance is disrupted, which is difficult and dangerous for them. Thus, they often prefer love in general and live by illusions. Over time, they may become skilled actors or pretenders. They understand human weaknesses and the necessity of overcoming them, allowing them to cultivate themselves. They acknowledge their mistakes and find the strength to apologize, often being the first to extend a hand for reconciliation.
Witty and engaging conversationalists, their calling is to balance, negotiate, and represent. Art, music, and anything that adorns life and demands refined taste are their domain—from a hairdresser to the head of a cultural institution. Thanks to their strong need for harmony and sociability, they always create a pleasant working atmosphere around them, making collaboration easy and enjoyable. They represent their enterprise with brilliance. Successes of others do not bother them; they merely observe to take note. They dislike nothing more than having their dignity insulted.
Naturally insecure, they see two sides to everything and hesitate, always trying to preserve balance—something that deserves praise. However, superiors should remember their absent-mindedness; they overlook details, their minds are restless, and concentration is lacking. Though they apologize immediately for mistakes, driven by their sense of harmony.
Highly enterprising, they require good collaborators, as they struggle to see things through to completion. They possess a strong sense of justice. They are diligent, especially after the age of 29, and seek knowledge and spiritual interests. The foundation of their relationships is love, with true unity (the embodiment of a dream of an ideal) taking precedence. Yet they also enjoy flirting and coquetry, though such flirtation does not always lead to intimacy nor indicate readiness. Eroticism alone is insufficient for a relationship; shared interests and a love for art are essential. Absolute fidelity cannot be expected—their curiosity and pliability, though restrained and cultured, interfere. Their children are raised with taste and independence.
Danger arises when balance is disrupted: they lose their sense of direction, their composure, and shame follows, leading to a chain of endless mistakes. Another danger is their heightened expectations of a partner in matters of love, business, or friendship—they seek an ideal and are unlikely to find it. Their insecurity and instability lead to vanity and pretentiousness. They are resentful, though rarely do they unleash their anger.
Harmony and balance are the main themes in the music of your life. You instinctively understand the need to adapt to the interests and desires of others, always ready to meet them halfway. You are tactful, a skilled diplomat, and do everything possible to avoid conflicts and disagreements. An aura of cooperation and compromise surrounds you. Thanks to your charm and caution, you achieve results where direct or forceful approaches would fail.
The ability to live harmoniously with people is vital for you, as when making decisions, you risk becoming overly dependent on the approval and opinions of others. You rarely act without consulting or securing support first. You prefer collaboration over solitary efforts and value recognition for your contributions. Loneliness feels unnatural to you. You have a great need for a partner and close relationships. You devote much of your energy to the person you love.
A great idealist and romantic when it comes to marriage, you seek a partner who equals you in intellect, as well as physically and spiritually. You become a devoted and caring friend or lover, taking great pleasure in traditional romantic gestures—courtship, flowers, and the like. You view such relationships as an art that deserves time, attention, and creative effort. You value refinement and elegance in a partner; they must not be dull, crude, or harsh. You maintain noble objectivity, giving everyone you encounter equal opportunities in both your personal life and the wider world, in which you do not take a personal stance.
When you fight for something, it is often for objectivity in relation to a person. Balance is extraordinarily important to you. You believe in the golden mean, avoiding fanaticism and any kind of extremism. You have a strong need for beauty and harmony in your surroundings. Your natural sense of style and taste is reflected in how you dress, organize your home, or arrange your workspace—everything must please the eye.
You find satisfaction in working with people as a lawyer, advisor, consultant, negotiator, or in the world of art—such as design or photography.
